Perhaps that is what I should buy, I live on a farm and need to be able to hunt coyotes in the night. Last year I over spent on an AR - 10 and then put a VX6 HD on it..... I bought a AR 15 few weeks back as I feel that window is closing lol. I need to put something on it to see in the dark
@@jeffstrains4014 Yes its a great night scope. I just cant justify thermal scope yet dor the money. This newer model runs good and true day or night shooting. I would look up Nstar they sell the rechargable battery pack. Plus the guy in the vids sells them to and does a great review on this scope. Only other scope some love is made by ATN night scope more money but it to is very affordable on optics planet. Good luck.
The core on my flir breach isn’t supposed to be awesome but I’m so so disappointed in the performance. It’s impossible to get a good focus at any distance.

Can you use it during the day time please?
You can use it during the day but it will look just like it does at night, a black and white thermal image. It definitely works but if you're doing much daytime hunting, you'll greatly prefer a normal glass daytime optic.

Will this scope handle .50 BMG recoil?
No. 375 H&H. I don’t know if any thermal that is made to withstand a .50BMG
I just buy my xp50 from yaall then bam two weeks later they release the XG! 😑

Have they improved the battery life?
Knighthawk6 No sir they have not come up with a way to create a longer lasting battery in the small APS battery housing. I’m hopeful they will one day but I really don’t know if it’s possible? You can check out our full review here and I go over the actual battery life I got in my bench tests.
