First off, I absolutely love when someone thinks outside of the box, goes against the grain of a well-understood concept, or turns an idea on its head. So to choose a word that is somewhat steeped in negative connotation and repurpose it for discipline and growth in the way that you have, is so creative and meaningful. I think it shows a lot of depth on your part, and artistry. I hope anyone watching this is now inspired by a plethora of even more excellent words to choose from, as we revisit our journals, Bibles, thesaurus, dictionaries, and powersheets to select our perfect word for 2022. Well done, and have a great year!
I love love LOVE your word choice! Mundane feels right to me. Big dreams, big plans, it always feels so grandiose, and to be honest, paralyzing at times... the daily grind, the mundane, repetitive small actions that get us there sure feel less fancy, but they also feel so much more manageable... I'm still working on my 2022 plan and mulling my word of the year. Your video got me seriously inspired. So thank you!
Yay!! Grateful I could inspire you! Little by little progress is made-big dreams stay big dreams without those little mundane steps! Cheers to 2022, can’t wait to hear your word of the year!!
My word for 2022 is “diligence”. It could be a close cousin to “mundane”. When researching I found that diligent comes from a word in Latin meaning “to delight in”. So to me diligence to me is not just doing something but finding delight in doing “the thing” well. Even the mundane things should be done to the best of our ability. 😉Thanks for sharing!
Love your word!!! And love the reason behind it. 😍 I’m days away from 2022 and I don’t have my word yet! 😱 It’s ok. I’m ok. 😁 But seriously, I’ve had my word well ahead for the past 10 or 15 years. This year, I guess I’m just not in a hurry. It will come. Not worried.
I’ve been using powersheets since 2018. The prep work is so powerful, in fact I’m still working on mine for this year. I think I’ve used “simplify” twice because I loved it so much. For 2020 I used “freedom” and it was so incredible even despite a year of locking down. I’m so attached to it so I might use it again. Other words I’m considering are joy, release, focus, decisive,
Came across your video and can relate. However my word is Grace. Maybe similar to your word in a sense but trying to be a perfectionist in everything and find Im comparing myself to others I dislike this habit. So I am doing Grace to give myself and not be to hard in things I do from personal level to spiritual to career wise. How can I get power sheets. These are great to hold on too and be able to go back and see how you have grown. Thank You for sharing these
