Saw Radney at a place called "Harbor Docks" in Destin, Florida a few years back. He's friends with the owner Charles Morgan and went fishing that day prior to the show. I got there early thinking there would be a huge line. No one was there or even set up yet. I paid my ten bucks, got a beer and walked out on the dock and there was Radney sitting on the back of the boat, all by himself and I just walked up and said hello. What a good guy! As soon as he found out I was retired military he could not shut up. We talked for a solid twenty minutes and I walked away impressed. We talked about a lot of things and he was as humble as any one I have ever met. His show was only topped out at about 30 people or so. It felt like being in someone's living room. He stayed long after the show and talked to every person, told stories. I love seeing people like him in small venues.
A good ole South Texas boy! I really like that song "Half Of My Mistakes" he sings; but, the song that I like best is Angel Flight because I am military veteran too.
Seen and loved Radney so many times, they he got political on FB during covid and I had so NO more, it breaks my heart. I love his music and message...

Rodney is certainly one of the most underrated artists of our time. His tracks have always resonated with me. Super great guy.
