*Beside = By the side of*
*Ex1:* My house is beside the temple.
*Ex2:* I sat beside my friend.
*Besides = In addition to*
*Ex1:* I have a car besides a bike.
*Ex2:* She can dance besides sing.
*Besides = Except*
*Ex1:* I have no other family besides my parents.
*Ex2:* There's no one here besides my friend and me.

25-" he goes to school by car" is correct," he goes to school in a car " is also correct.
But "he goes to school by a car" is wrong.
29- besides means "in addition to". So, he was sitting by him in metro, or he was sitting beside him.
Besides is wrong
