My husband was there. Great message. God is used this message to convict. But he was very disappointed by the clothing or lack of on the women. The men need to stand up to that along with the women in this church and all churches that claim Christ.
This attitude is what keeps normal people out of church. Do you want a believer or a rule follower. Are you threatened by the outwear of other women? Do you think your husband will be tempted?

The preacher’s uncle and all the other men had something to fight against. They had reasons to be strong. But men today have had nothing to fight against. The past 70 or so years have been relatively easy. Yes there is a spiritual war, but it isn’t as tangible as in past times. Also, the qualities of men: masculinity, by a feminism gone awry, have been under attack for a long time. As the saying goes, “Hard times create strong men, weak men create hard times”.
To just say to the young men, “Act like a man” isn’t enough. Men need a reason and a model
There has been plenty for biblical men to fight against in the past 70 years, men and women have allowed more to be murdered in cold blood than Hitler's body count. Only these never even had the chance to breathe their first breath. If there has ever been a need to protect life, it has been in the last 70 years. The generation before mine and every one since has failed to stand up for this.
Andy Stanley & Tim Keller need to desperately hear this. Two lost souls.

While Keller historically presented himself as Reformed (as I unashamedly am), unfortunately , it’s a plethora of red flags too great to ignore.
He believes in theistic evolution (not old earth creationism, which certainly genuine brothers in Christ can have an accepting position on), but theistic evolution. An allegorical account of Genesis also leaves no basis to accept things such as the virgin birth or resurrection as literal. In addition, with no Adam, there is no fall. With no fall, there is no sin. And with no sin, no need for a savior.
Keller also has refused to condemn homosexuality as sinful, rather skirting around when asked and will give convoluted answers such as “the Bible has reservations about homosexuality” or “homosexuality doesn’t send you to hell because heterosexuality doesn’t send you to Heaven”.
Regarding abortion; Keller has said “I know it’s wrong, but the Bible doesn’t say how to end it”. 😳😳😳
Keller has embraced the social justice movement, multiple times talking about “white privilege”.
He invoked the poor application of the passage that became part of our lexicon during the covid government tyranny of “Romans 13”; i.e. that you do anything that government tells you to do.
Perhaps the most concerning are two interviews he did in which he gave a very vague answer as to what happens to non Christians who die apart from Christ (“I’m on a need to know basis”, “If there is a secret/back door, I don’t know about it”.) 😳😳

Great encouragement -however, these are not just qualities of men, but all believers should be courageous, brave, resolute etc. My wife and I have been through some very tough circumstances, and she has had to step up in all of there areas too in order to continue in the boldness of what God has called us to. 99% of this sermon was not just for men, but women too.
I think the title was talking to men. If your wife has had to step up to deal with problems, it seems like a you problem

The first “all-ages” drag show is coming to our town this weekend. Does “live quiet lives” mean we shouldn’t protest this event? As a man I feel it’s absolutely necessary to peacefully protest this, but there is a different point of view among some in my church.
You absolutely should go and spread the word of God. Many lost souls there that need God.
You should absolutely protest this! This is exactly what God would want you to do. Most Americans dont realize that God gave us the constitution not to do whatever we want, but to do what we aught! The freedom of speech was given to us by God so that we could speak out against what is wrong without being arrested or punished. I suspect that your church members that would have you not protest are caught up practicing the 11th commandment, “Thou shalt be nice.” The 11th commandment has been incredibly damaging to our society! The truth is not always pleasant but it must be spoken even if it offends. Go and protest and stand up for what is righteous! I will pray for you.
