Thank you so much for sharing this! My phone all of a sudden couldn't open up all the way anymore. I did suspect the brushes came loose as I saw a slight residue of the brush-adhesive on the hinges back. Then I stumbled upon your video and fixed it just as described in the video. It did take quite some time an a lot of fiddling around but it now opens up again. You're the best!
Thanks for the video When I did that, I think I used too much force, and I believe I ripped the inner screen's ribbon cable (Flex Cable). So now I have to change the display ribbon cable, and I will clean it from inside since I will open it completely. PS I used the same tools that you used
Yes, you have to be very careful, since this is not an official repair/cleaning method. Maybe I was just luck, but I did it with very little force. Thank you for drawing our attention to this, I'll include it in the description of the video!
@@vayler1 Carefully pull the tool (not the hook!) along the hinge, and where it gets stuck, that's where the problem will be. (Starts at about 1:00 in the video.)
Yes, this is the function of the brush, but unfortunately, when the factory adhesive breaks down, the brush gets tangled. That's why you have to remove it. But you are right, the hinge can be damaged, so do it at your own risk! Or try to have it repaired by the service center.

Thnks for the guide video
You are welcome :)
U need to do this technique on both sides or just the one from the back?
Hi! Basically, it is only necessary to do it on the side where the problem is.
@Starwing78 how did u managed to know which side had the issue?

Am trying to get out but 😂
Ohh, sorry to hear that!
But removing the brush will damage the hinge in some time... it cleans the dust that can cause problems the hinge
