I wanted to show this example last year, but something always came up. I was getting relatively many questions about my XP Deus setting lately, that's why I made this video (now I can just point to it, without explaining ;). I apologize to all my subscribers who are not interested in this tech mumbo jumbo. I promise to show a proper (long) hunt soon :). Thanks for watching & have a great day/evening.
My final thoughts and recommendations for this setup: Don't be afraid to give (tone) DISC "6" a try (instead of "7"). I'm also using more and more the 18kHz (actually exclusively in the past few weeks/months). One last but very important advice: Forget about the ID numbers! Close your Deus remote control and listen to the audio. Good luck!
Hello, keep in mind that reactivity above 2 reduces the depth (this could be a disadvantage, especially for pastures). But if you want thin and/or tiny silver coins, give it a try (together with R.3). Good luck!
Just wondering what the point to ur method is? Hot ground? What did the machine actually ground balance at using pumping method? Seems like u should be able to ground balance normal and then run ground notch to stop the chatter.
Great hunts mert... Really enjoy watching your stuff and like the humour..... I was hoping i would find your settings to try I use a sifter program all the time now i have made adjustments to mine. Its taken me a lot off messing about with the Deus to realise "SOUND" is really the only way to successfully hunt with it. I think people i have spoken to have the wrong idea about this machine saying (its to complicated or you need a degree to understand it that kind of stuff) its not difficult to use and very easy to program, assuming that is you know what to put into it. lol .....It seems to me from people i have spoken to and or seen, seem to want either a yes or no signal in other words Iron don't dig or Gold fill your boots lol but Alas its not so , i also think what leads people to this way of thinking is the digging and digging iron, But if you can hear the iron and you can separate the non ferrous sound from the Iron which this can easy, The same as sifter programs, then your on the road to finding good stuff and maybe the pot of gold lol ha ha ha ..... Its very interesting this program you have come up with well done mate..... i knew when i was watching your digs that something wise was there....... as a separate note all the programs Deus have put into the XP are great in there own right and who am i to make anything any better! but every now and then someone like you comes along and from trial and error and a lot off hassle come up with a great idea as you have ....Thank you i mean that Regards Kurt
Hallo.
Interesting video. Thanks for posting. I have some questions I hope you could answer. Is this method only to reduce falsing or is there another advantage? Can you no longer hear iron in the ground using this method as the ground makes an "iron tone". Have you tested this method to see what effect it has on detection depth? Thanks once again. Kev.
You can hear iron pretty well. The ground noise is noticeable at 100Hz, iron is set to 200Hz (you could make a short test with iron at home first). With this set you will get every audio information you need. Give it a try (on a field for example) and you won't be disappointed. I would recommend "6" for the (DISC) tone break together with the 18kHz frequency. Let the remote control in the leather pouch and don't look at the numbers at all. The other advantage would be less critical behavior when used with high sensitivity. Some coils are falsing on slight contact with plants/branches. Other than that, it is very responsive. It is hard to miss a signal... You can take a look at a small test I made during one of my hunts. It starts here: goo.gl/PygJOc It was (for some reason) a problematic target. The default settings failed. You can see my set at the end. 18kHz would deliver an even clearer signal. Good luck. Have a nice day.
It would be a hard decision, because they are all getting the job done (more or less). I think, I would chose the "Racer 1" at this stage. Both coils (10x5" and 5") have relatively good depth and are great for iron infested sites. The weight is not that bad, compared with the GM4, but it could be better (I will try to modify it in the future).
I never look at the screen. This would be the "wrong" way of using the Deus (or any other detector). My remote control stays in the leather pouch during the entire hunt. One tone for the Disc-99 range provides (at least for me) the best audio information about size, depth and sometimes the material (signals jumping from one (tone) frequency to another are unnecessary).
Your videos are always so well done. Us newbies appreciate the detail.

Very cool! I always wondered what your settings were, I never found this video until now
Thanks for sharing this set--up I will give it a go over some UK pasture ground this week and compare it with my current set-up.

I loaded your settings and love it!
Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you like it.

Hallo, funtioniert das auch mit HF Spulen, überläuft man nicht einiges, 99 ist doch nicht immer Eisen oder?
Gruß

very nice video thank you 👍😉
Thank you for the comment. I'm glad you liked it :). Cheers.
you live is Dordogne ?
good video, how deus react on winter -15/20c ??
"Unfortunately" we have mild winters over here. -2/-4°C is already "very cold". Maybe someone from Finland or Russia can answer your question. Cheers.
what does the negative ground balance achieve?
More depth?
Yes.
Jethro have you try?
if you had no Deus what would be your weapon of choice?
I reckon his GM 4WD :-)

Many thanks for the cognitive video! At which forum do you participate? I would like to talk with you personally.
I'm not very active on forums (anymore). The best way to get in touch with me would be via email (you can find the address in the "about" YT section).
Извините, я не понял Ваш ответ. Где найти Ваш адрес электронной почты ?
MetalDetecting24 , sorry, but I did not understand where you advised to look at your email address?
so you don't have any idea what you are finding from disc to 99 because all the sound is the same. the only way is to look at the screen, correct?

Bad settings man. Set GB to 82 and sens 88, TX power 2. Deus is complitly blind with your settings. Good luck.

GB 82 and Sens 88 is very, very dangerous be careful
