This was like a Scottish Ballet production, but in the dark, Cynthia is the lead dancer, drive is the choreographer. I hope you bought this brave lady a bottle of Brennivín, purely to calm her nerves. How can something so simple, bring such joy? Love it x
We've just been to Faroes and had exactly the same experience in the same tunnel. Even to the point of being overtaken when we pulled into a passing place too early. The music is perfect, giving the sense of are we going to get to the end without another car coming the other way. Brilliant video.
Best video ever, matching the music perfectly (or vice versa 😁). We will do this in June and we will stay at one of those houses you can see on the right behind the railing (grey roofes) after you left the tunnel. At least we will have right of way ... 😂
Welcome to our daily lives 😁It is even more funnier when there is a truck coming your way, especially if it has to stop and there is no side place big enough for it to fit.
It could be the best example of Covid-19 crisis :-) You've seen the light at the end of tunnel, at least twice. However, we others only are imagining its existence yet. Kisses to Cynthia
@@baldheretic First of Thank you so much for the link, it would be great help as I am visiting the place. but i have questions to ask: Does the tunnel have one turnout and its only on one (right) side? What if you are driving on the side that doesnt have turnout, does that mean you have the right of way unless you encounter the truck?
This is the tunnel between Klaksvik and Arnafjord. The first of two tunnels on Bordoy, connecting Klaksvik, Arnafjord, Nordepil/Hvannasund and Vidareidi 😊
Yes......Yes.....YES!! Real fun video great editing, captions and choice of music.

Well done. Enjoyed that!

oh a sigh of relief after that music in the background. Glad you made it in one piece.
great music background.. right timing is everything. This ride is heaven for Mad Max lovers :) :)
This was a lot more satisfying than I thought it would be. Heart racing here :D
😅👏💪👍 fun video great editing
First few times through the tunnels are a real trip. What is fun is when you are in a pullout and a semi goes past.
This was extremely entertaining.
Grieg would have been proud. Well done!
i don't normally ever really get claustrophobic but that tunnel was something else 😅
Excellent video!
Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" is an overused piece of music, but here it fits perfectly!
Followed by "Morning Mood" from the Peer Gynt Suite, also by Grieg..... ;)

Don't trucks have the right of way?
Thinking of thise tons and tons of rocks and dirt over your heads during that drive through the tunnel!
I live on Fugloy. Getting fresh bread and milk etc depends on me travelling these 2 one way tunnels... I haven't eaten fresh bread in a month🤦🏻♀️🤣
It was fun and nervous watching.
Brilliant annotation! Thanks for this, it was a treat.

The one on Suđuroy is downhill and often inside the coulds, it's funny x)

@@blatherskite One direction had the right of way. Unless there is a truck.
No problem going back, you have right of way!
I didn´t know the driver must turn off the lights while waiting for oncoming traffic in the pull off. Is it compulsory for the motorist?
It's the law in the Faroe Islands so yes, it is compulsory. See this video ruclips.net/video/vG1Y2FdzISQ/видео.html
When you park you car, you do not switch the lights for parking?
In the Hall of the Mountain King - I see what you did there! :D
If I were in that tunnel, I would be an absolute scaredy-cat, because total darkness scares me out of my wits.
very nice movie, today you have traffic lights there... ;-)
I love your vid. Just got back from the Faroe and experience the same. By the way, you have a great music background. What is the title? Thanks
It's from a play called Peer Gynt, it's called "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg, a Norwegian composer.
How do you know if a car is coming from the other side? This is amazing.
You see lights ahead.
Which tunnel is this?
