Ally, I understand completely! I left the airline industry after 13 years to be a stay at home in 21 with covid after 2 years I felt the pull to go back to work. Sadly, airlines weren’t a option b/c I wasn’t starting at the bottom of the seniority list again😢😢😢 in the end I decided to take a part time job with my kids school district! I don’t make a lot but, it allows me to feel like myself while also being off when my kids are…. Best of both worlds.
You, my dear, are a gift not only to me but so many others. Just be you. YOU are enough. I quit my job to be a stay at home mom. I have 3 grown sons now. Now I struggle changing my role from what I was to what my role is now. The world is different from when I did work and I will have to figure out my path now. You will never regret making the choice you made and neither will your son's. I admire your choices. I hope you begin feeling better. For the month of September, I am looking forward to continued post-surgery hand therapy and working up to lifting 5 lbs off the table instead of the 1 lb that I have worked myself up to by the end of August. It is all slow progress, but glad that slow progress is still positive, forward progress.

I share a similar journey with depression and all the stuff you do and don't do, go through, think, feel. Its a vicious cycle, every day feels like we're doing something wrong so we have to change/fix it. I like watching your videos for the variety because of who you are and your personality. It’s ok to be vulnerable; you’re human and we all feel some type of way at one point or another. I’ve felt overwhelmed many times and it’s not easy. I am in a different season of my life, with 3 kids and having just dropped off my oldest at college. I miss her so much but I know she’s ready. It makes it easy to know that we will be closer to her soon, as we will be moving back to the US from Germany in about a month. Sending you positive vibes and energy! Family does come first! ❤

You will never regret the time you stay home with the kids. Everyone would tell me that the kids grow up so fast and trust me they do! Being a stay at home mom can be hard, but when they get older you will look back on that time you stay home and it will be some of your favorite memory!

Life goes through different seasons. I’m definitely in a different season of life working full time in the school system. I thought I wanted to be a SAHM but did it for a few months. I truly enjoy working. I’m here for it all. I enjoy your mom life content and the flight attendant content.
