    There's nothing Irish about the border. Its the British imposed border in Ireland

      Yes, but who cares.... Whether you or I like it or dislike it, the Northern Irish Protestant majority, were never going to be forced into accepting that they were going to be ruled over by the Catholic majority of the rest of Ireland, and hence have State-sanctioned Catholicism imposed upon them. You can't change history....

    im so sad that irish and northern irish people are so divided by RoI(For me commonly Hibernian republic)and northern Ireland (part of uk),but they even had no custom, they religion is so divided,they are both speak irish,mostly northern Ireland could least speak irish mostly they speak ulster scots.

      @@PS-ru2ov The North East Six Counties is a gerrymandered area drawn up to appease the protestant majority in that area of Ireland (The Island of Ireland was a unified country then), as the majority voted for independence in 1918 Do some research On The FACTS on how this enforced partition came about!.

      @@vonbeedle554 I am 58, so in the late 60s early 70s (coming from a Liverpool interested family) I remember watching what was happening in North East Ireland. My Dad was Protestant my Mum Catholic ... we had a Nationalist outlook on Ireland in my late 20s I started to research "The Irish Question" the only outcome was to feel ashamed of living in Britain, under the upper class who used and manipulated the people Ireland and Partitioned there Island.

    Always remember Ireland was only truly united under British rule for 400 years. It was the Irish in the 26 counties that broke away from the 6

      Keep dreaming...the Brits gerrymandered it, splitting the province of Ulster along sectarian lines...Donegal was too Catholic, so it was in the Republic
