I kept thinking “No Jane! Not that way silly, there is a gun to your right!” Or “He’s behind you! Turn around!” License to kill was a favorite in my family, ah, the good old days of murdering each other.
Ever notice that Andy always sits on the right side, Jane always sits on the left, and Mike gets whatever place is left-over? I don't know whether to feel sorry for Mike or be impressed by his flexibility. I wonder what would happen if Mike sat down first, taking the seat that Andy or Jane was expecting?
I think there was an ocean of missed orcatunities there. It's not like Andy to not make puns, water's wrong with him? Are we shore he's feeling okay after that playthrough? ... Shell I stop?
outsidexbox Hey Andy, if you didn't feel too old already, I was born on the day that goldeneye came out, and can almost legally drink in America. Also are you telling me that the ultimate test isn't facility slappers only?
I never knew that one secret agent trying to frantically shoot another agent whos on a slapping rampage to the tune of andy shouting "SLAP SLAP SLAP" over and over again would be the funniest thing i've seen all week
One time on the train, some sort of glitched allowed me to survive the explosion. Natalya was dead, so I still failed the mission. I do love when games let you keep playing even if the level is failed
I remember actively trying to leave the map in Driver PS1. Eventually I succeeded, at first it was liberating, but when the cops could never reach me it made the ''chase'' nonexistent. It was then I realised why they built that barrier.
You guys have talked so much and so fondly about GoldenEye that I now have false memories of myself playing it and I feel so nostalgic when anyone mentions it
I'm so disappointed in Jane. She obviously was not Screen Watching Mike during their GoldenEye duel. How can she be a servant of the Great Old One Cthulhu without being able to stomach this, the most natural of dastardly deeds?
I actually reallllllly loved Everything or Nothing on the GCN, it was 3rd person but once I realized the scope of it's cinematic style and gameplay I was sold. Truly felt like playing a sequel to an older James Bond movie with the newer Bond
Honestly, when they first talked about Ellen thinking the kiss scene was weird, I thought I'd missed an easter egg where James and Alec go on a romantic break for two.
Yeah, Bond and Natalia do make out at the end of the movie. The scene is a little different, but it is in the nearby jungle. I think they're lying down and American Marines show up with the CIA agent, but it does more or less happen.
Oh man thank you guys so much for NOT forgetting Nightfire, the first multiplayer shooter I ever loved. Honestly, give me a game with a snow level, AT-420 Sentinal video-guided rocket missles, and tiny helicopters you can chase people with while you hide in a corner, and I'll fall in love with it every time!
Thanks for bringing a little joy into an old gamers life. Oxbox is the channel I enjoy the most. I need as much joy as I can get, my wife passed away last month. You guys always give me smile or laugh and for that thanks more than I can say. I really enjoy the banter and good natured teasing. So again just wanted to say thanks for being you. 👍
outsidexbox You are very welcome. I really enjoy your shows. Also I have been a gamer since pong (which I played in a bar and yes I got better the more I had to drink, up to a point) 😝. I didn’t think I would get a reply, so thanks for that too.
You just brought back some repressed memories of my big brother bullying me every time I started in the vents. One time, mom called us for dinner and we left the controllers there. And to my parents confusion, he kept whispering: you'll have to come out eventually.
Yes!!! The Nightfire Bond game I played religiously the car levels used to frustrate the hell out of me though, The World is Not Enough was also an awesome game
I fondly remember GoldenEye, had some great evenings back in the day. Was always one of the arctic soldiers, the grey camo would sometimes blend in to the wall.
Ah that brought back some memories, I always played Trevelyan too and we usually played License to Kill as it made it fairer on those that didn't own an N64
007 Nightfire was awesome! My friend and I would play splitscreen on the ski-lift level with only guided rocket launchers, it was a cat-and-mouse game of drone-strike dueling.
I remember Nightfire!!! I loved it! Played it through and played multiplayer with my friends all the time :) there are other good ones too though - Everything or Nothing had a fun single player, and Agent Under Fire was pretty good too.
Some of my fondest memories as a child was playing Nightfire with my older brother - I mean, he would always make me untangle the PS2 cords beforehand...and then I had to play as player 2 with the bad controller...and then he would always win. But still, fond memories!
I remember playing this game with my dad, I was 6 and always losing. But now the skills and wisdom have reached me and my dad is 20 years older now so… I'm still losing 😢
I am 100% on board that they mixed up Oddjob and Knick-knack. Never understood why he was so short (but that didn't stop me from playing as him in multiplayer).
TBH- or to be honest- I have only suscribed weeks ago, I have been watching for ages but never knew you guys had a channel that I could enjoy. I was so into the Aussie Pocket that Outside Xbox didn't click with me. But I have watched so much oxbox I honestly feel like you're my familu! Andy plays how I do, Mike is like my cuz who just goes nuts & blows everything up. And Jane takes my breath away- what a smile! And she is more intelligent and well spoken- class & beauty. I hope Alistair appreciates you
Damn it's been 20years since Goldeneye came out? Weirdest thing is that I still have the route through the facility imprinted on my brain. Annoying since I was constantly screaming at the screen telling Jane where to go to off Mike. Allright you've convinced me! Time to hook up my old n64 and call a few mates. Grab a few beers and just blast the night away!
I absolutely love Jane's shirt! Do you guys have a link to it? :) And no mention of Agent Under Fire for the GameCube? My friends and I loved playing with all the gadgets like the grapple hook and jetpacks.
My friends and I played the Goldeneye for at least a year before any of us saw the movie. Because of this we didn’t really understand the roll of Boris. So mockingly we referred to him simply as “Short Shorts”.
TBH, guys, I think we should have known how much Jane loves LOTR by the way she kept yelling at Andy to shut up during the prologue of "Shadow of War". XD lol
"License to Kill, Pistols, Facility." I didn't know 5 words had the ability to instantly make me 13 years old again, but here we are. Now I have to go through puberty all over again.
Ohhhh, this is literally the first time in my whole life that I've heard someone mention Nightfire, that game was my childhood! I almost got to believe that the game was a trick of my imagination
There's two exits to the vents. The other one drops you at the back stairs. Fun Fact - in the (far, far better) Felicity level in Perfect Dark, all the tanks are collapsed due to the canonical explosions from the movie.
When you mentioned the ending where they make out, for some reason I thought you meant Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan. I don't know if I'm relieved or disappointed
I love how Jane assumes Mike decaying is a plausible thing. Your immortality is showing Jane, watch out!!
awesome comments
Jane's performance in Golden Eye was almost as painful to watch as Mike's unwillingness to reload his gun
Daniel Delgado perhaps, but at some point it became less about unwillingness and more about unneccessariness
I kept thinking “No Jane! Not that way silly, there is a gun to your right!” Or “He’s behind you! Turn around!” License to kill was a favorite in my family, ah, the good old days of murdering each other.
Shannon Davis License to Kill, slappers only.
RetepAdam HOURS of fun!
Scott Langley Andy would boo him and Jane would give him *the stare* until he moved
FlutterJane?
I think you just wrote next weeks opening gag
Scott Langley Jane would probably throw Mike into the mines for bad behavior
What they need is a couch, not a love seat so all three of them can fit on it!
No. Seriously. We want a video of Jane explaining all of LOTR. This isn't a joke.
James Tanner Seconded!
Thirded?
Fourthed? Fourth’d? Set forth? Whatever fourth recommendation
DappperDan: May the fourth be with you.
Fifth.... of vodka please.
Come on!!!
"How did you get on?" (In Sea of thieves)
*"Swimmingly!"*
I think there was an ocean of missed orcatunities there. It's not like Andy to not make puns, water's wrong with him? Are we shore he's feeling okay after that playthrough?
...
Shell I stop?
On behalf of Andy, *BOOOOOOOO* *boo*
Can't wait for the new Jane Bond movie coming out next year and it's just full of Jane screaming trying to shoot at things.
I'd watch that
Janes Bond in: "You Slap, You Die"
Also, "A Pain in the Janus: The Mike Channell Story"
Don't forget ELDRITCH BLAST
Well at least your boat didn't get ransacked by a Spider Tiger.
SHIP!
Or a whale for that matter.
Though it does appear to have been capsized by one. On account of he was steering at the time…
Caitlin RC I
outsidexbox Hey Andy, if you didn't feel too old already, I was born on the day that goldeneye came out, and can almost legally drink in America.
Also are you telling me that the ultimate test isn't facility slappers only?
Don't worry Andy. The game is called "SEA of Thieves", it would make sense to have a thief (pirate) in the sea.
It's like soup... for Krakens.
Great, first thing I wake up in the morning to, and already feel old.
I never knew that one secret agent trying to frantically shoot another agent whos on a slapping rampage to the tune of andy shouting "SLAP SLAP SLAP" over and over again would be the funniest thing i've seen all week
I always loved how the AK looked like a Duracell battery in GoldenEye (other batteries are available)
i thought it looked like a black pencil
You could say Andy's playtime went ... swimmingly.
Nightfire on ps2 was one of my favourite old gen games! I loved capture the flag on that map with the cable cars.
When I played Nightfire I thought I'll never see better graphics.
Remember that classic scene with James Bond kicking in bathroom stalls one by one.. oh wait that was Monsters Inc
To be fair, it was a great scene.
Nooo, that was the GTA IV mission "Meltdown"
I thought that was from Life is Strange.
Not sure I've ever enjoyed anything as much as Mike dancing after asking Andy what his favourite level was!
Nightfire was amazing!
You guys have talked so much and so fondly about GoldenEye that I now have false memories of myself playing it and I feel so nostalgic when anyone mentions it
I like how Jane was shooting at the stalls on the other side of the room when the mini map clearly said Mike was behind her.
'For England, Andy?' 'No Mike, for me.' Cue Jane dancing over the credits
I remember Nightfire on the PS2! Walking along cable car wires in the multiplayer, driving around mini helicopters. Brilliant.
I'm so disappointed in Jane. She obviously was not Screen Watching Mike during their GoldenEye duel. How can she be a servant of the Great Old One Cthulhu without being able to stomach this, the most natural of dastardly deeds?
Dumbledoreous lol
I actually reallllllly loved Everything or Nothing on the GCN, it was 3rd person but once I realized the scope of it's cinematic style and gameplay I was sold.
Truly felt like playing a sequel to an older James Bond movie with the newer Bond
What time will Sean Connery arrive at Wimbledon?
Ten-ish.
Boooooooooooo!! ;)
Great Scott!
Jane found him from the second bathroom, that's very good considering the odds, still got killed though.
Goldeneye was our game of choice in college. I had unlocked everything there was in that game. Here’s hoping for a remaster.
Honestly, when they first talked about Ellen thinking the kiss scene was weird, I thought I'd missed an easter egg where James and Alec go on a romantic break for two.
starhanie
O.O
You’ve had too much martinis, madam.
Actually, that is where my mind went too. I was going they make out at the end of the game? I don't remember that in the movie. Is that canon?
Yeah, Bond and Natalia do make out at the end of the movie. The scene is a little different, but it is in the nearby jungle. I think they're lying down and American Marines show up with the CIA agent, but it does more or less happen.
James Harper
“Maybe you could finish dispatching each other at Guantanamo.”
-Felix Leiter (Bond’s CIA contact)
Isn't a jump from that high into water a bit like hitting a concrete floor?
Oh man thank you guys so much for NOT forgetting Nightfire, the first multiplayer shooter I ever loved. Honestly, give me a game with a snow level, AT-420 Sentinal video-guided rocket missles, and tiny helicopters you can chase people with while you hide in a corner, and I'll fall in love with it every time!
Gullible isn't in the description. How coul-
Wait! I've been beat again. DOUGLASSSSS!!!!!
I'm glad it wasn't just me that checked.
Ah show of the week, I can always count on you to bring me such joy.
I think we can all agree the best part of Goldeneye on the N64 the multiplayer! Slaps only was so much fun!
I've never played Goldeneye but Nightfire was amazing! Once again Mike's excellent taste in video games shows
Once again, Jane demonstrates her mastery of aiming a weapon. It's SO refined, it goes past "expert" and straight back to "novice."
That lovely OX theme music: Panicked cries when being shot at and shouts of SLAP
Shooting Sean Bean is so passe, now I'm surprised just to see him survive a TV interview
I comeback to this after watching them play GoldenEye. 5 years.
I remember Night Fire Mike, as some one who never played Goldeneye, it was my favorite 007 game of all time.
I got a commercial immediately after Jane's Lotr talk faded to black, perfect timing
+Ed Carlson Sorry to hear that Ed. We’re proud to be able to help in some small way though. Our condolences.
outsidexbox You are very welcome.
I remember one with snow levels and laser trip mines. That was fantastic multiplayer.
Excuse me.... BLOODSTONE WAS GREAT (yes, this is the hill I die on.... that Kingdoms of Amalur was a MASTERPIECE *hi Ellen*)
Michael Cartwright I loved it too!
NIGHTFIRE!!!!!! I had totally forgotten it, it's so cool I loved it
Yes!!! The Nightfire Bond game I played religiously the car levels used to frustrate the hell out of me though, The World is Not Enough was also an awesome game
I haven't laughed so hard in ages... "Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap!" Hilarious!
"Alright, I'm alive again" is the best way to start a conversation tbh. I think I'll use it as my new icebreaker.
These challenges are a great idea, show of the week somehow got way better. And Mike is actually winning, surprises keep coming
I remember Nightfire!!! I loved it! Played it through and played multiplayer with my friends all the time :) there are other good ones too though - Everything or Nothing had a fun single player, and Agent Under Fire was pretty good too.
Perfect Dark was my N64 shooter... But Nightfire was amazing back than.
Night fire on the ps2 was the game I spent most of my time with the ps2 on. I LOVED THAT GAME!
Some of my fondest memories as a child was playing Nightfire with my older brother - I mean, he would always make me untangle the PS2 cords beforehand...and then I had to play as player 2 with the bad controller...and then he would always win. But still, fond memories!
That reminded me of just how great a time it was to play GoldenEye.
Goldeneye was my childhood, all those multiplayer games.
James Bond: Agent Under Fire with the weird clone storyline, loved that game!
Honestly, you guys are the best RUclips channel ever. You should all be millionaires, not even exaggerating.
Note to self: Do not play Hide and Seek with Mike, He finds you - He kills you! You find him - He still kills you!
Oh sure “I just popped out for a cup of coffee”. I’m not fooled by that disguise, Not-Mike.
"I heard a hissing sound coming from the vents yestrday."
"Damn, we must have Brosnans again. Better call the exterminator."
When I grew up, the only two games I had for a while were Nightfire and Agent Under Fire... Best childhood ever!
*and Everything or Nothing, but that wasn't as good
I spent my entire childhood in primary school playing nightfire on the ps2 it needs more recognition!
We need to get a dubstep remix of Jane saying "You never thought of finding Pierce Brosnan in the crawlspace."
I remember playing this game with my dad, I was 6 and always losing. But now the skills and wisdom have reached me and my dad is 20 years older now so… I'm still losing 😢
How could anyone forget the Ski Lodge level in Nightfire?... I always rode on top of the gondola to scout of the Bots I would put in the game
Mike: How did you get on?
Andy: (should have said "swimmingly")
I am 100% on board that they mixed up Oddjob and Knick-knack. Never understood why he was so short (but that didn't stop me from playing as him in multiplayer).
Wow, Mike managed to obliterate Jane in that challenge all while he left his skull in a different room. That is impressive.
I hope Alistair appreciates you
I enjoyed "007: From Russia With Love" quite a lot.
I spent hours in multiplayer.
And now at around the 25 year mark, they're back to playing multi-player splitscreen GoldenEye.
Jane not being that surprised to find what she thought was Mike's skull is further evidence that she's immortal.
I REMEMBER NIGHT FIRE MIKE!! I LOVED IT!
Finally night fire getting some recognition.
I'm far too invested in this aren't ?
Now you practically *have* to give us Jane's 10 hour video about LOTR.
I screamed so much during that killing spree between Mike and Jane. Mike, you're so mean
I mean... facing Mike in a game that for the most part rewarded run-and-gun/spray-and-pray? Getting him once is quite well done.
That was one hell of a final stand, Jane.
I absolutely love Jane's shirt! Do you guys have a link to it? :)
And no mention of Agent Under Fire for the GameCube? My friends and I loved playing with all the gadgets like the grapple hook and jetpacks.
My friends and I played the Goldeneye for at least a year before any of us saw the movie. Because of this we didn’t really understand the roll of Boris. So mockingly we referred to him simply as “Short Shorts”.
“Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap! Aaaaaaaaarrrgh!” Exactly how I remember the movie.
The big problem with Golden Eye - "Bloody hell, Natalya. GET OUT OF THE THE WAY!"
Mike: "Precision aiming!!"
* shoots wildly around the room not hitting the target *
emphasis on """" Earlier in the video he talked about how there's basically no precision at all. Also he got 10/1 score...
“Golden-Eye: Source” is why PC is the master race.
I half expected Andy to say that his Sea of Thieves went swimmingly...
Mike's 'Precision aiming!!' is essentially Cyril's 'Suppressing fire!!' in terms of accuracy and utility, no?
Nightfire was INCREDIBLE!
Ohhhh, this is literally the first time in my whole life that I've heard someone mention Nightfire, that game was my childhood! I almost got to believe that the game was a trick of my imagination
Andy: "We master sailors call it a ship..." Yet his pirate alter ego in dungeons and dragons keeps calling it a boat...
There's two exits to the vents. The other one drops you at the back stairs.
Fun Fact - in the (far, far better) Felicity level in Perfect Dark, all the tanks are collapsed due to the canonical explosions from the movie.
I've never seen Sean Bean live for so long in any form of media 😂😂
I am glad to sea Andy getting on so swimmingly in Sea of Theaves!
Nightfire was a damn close 2nd! I'm glad mike mentioned it!
When you mentioned the ending where they make out, for some reason I thought you meant Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan. I don't know if I'm relieved or disappointed
