I get what you mean, and both possible perspectives that may form from your opinion. Should video games be able to classify transformations as an entirely ‘new’ character? Absolutely not. However, for their own financial benefit incorporating DLC characters that ‘should’ already be in the game makes sense as well..

They could be yes men, not knocking the possibility. But you always gotta take “beta testers” opinions with a grain of salt. We won’t know for sure until official release.
Whether you like the game or not depends on if you are looking for things to not like or if you are looking for things to like, which is what it's like with literally EVERYTHING. For me, I see the things that people do criticize, and if it's worthy of deeming the game bad, then it's bad. But in Sparking Zero's case, I've seen people criticize the fact that it will have a modern control scheme. Yeah, this game is gonna be peak if THAT'S what people are whining about, when there are SOOO many pros about the game that completely outweigh those nitpicks.
Ehhhh i slightly disagree, there can be things that make you dislike the game with a player having zero intention on disliking the game. Now people will just dislike anything just to be a negative Nancy, take your control scheme point for example. Alright, lets elaborate on why the Game Labels "Transformation" as different Characters unlike other games and the reason why 4 Versions of Goku and Vegeta are a thing. For "Transformations" being different characters is because (believe it or not) they are indeed different characters altogether, they have different moveset, different parameters, can have different combo strings, ect. Only thing is that you can transform into that character or go back to the previous character. In games like Budokai, Transformations really are Transformations because they don't change the character much, only gives them a power boost and might have access to moves previews forms don't have Now, the Reason why Different Version of the same character exists to begin with was for a reason alone... Moveset Limitations, Characters in BT3 were restricted with only 2 Skills, 2 Supers and 1 Ultimate. For BT3, they wanted to cover ever attack Goku has, but were restricted by the moveset, the solution was to Create a Goku that Covered a Specific Saga so that he could have the Moves from that Saga. Raging Blast actually solved this Different Versions of the Same Character thing by making a Customizable Moveset so that a character could have different moves. But for Sparking Zero, I guess went for the route of keeping the different versions of the same character while also having some movement customization
🔥🔥🔥 I like this take a lot fam, I am well aware that they have different moves & parameters hence why their different slots, I just think it becomes lazy when main characters have almost 10 separate slots for them. I feel as tho BT3 balanced it perfectly, most characters that did In fact have multiple slots, had at the most 3-4 slots per character.

The gameplay and maps are looking very good, roster is getting a bit more full though still a good bunch of characters yet to be announced but... The awful character models (except perfect Cell), soulless HUD and game menu's as well as the ridiculous story mode "cutscenes" (they don't have time to make good ones cause they're trying to come up with what if's 🥲) really are holding up my hype on this game I would have preferred Raging Blast 1 with updated graphics and BT3 roster RB1 had good models and colors, really great game menu's and even a punching machine mini game!!! My simp ass still going to buy Sparking Zero though lol

We’ve been waiting for this game for years and the game has a lot of potential to make anime games good again. Multiple character variations with characters such as Naruto, Sasuke, Goku, and Vegeta is annoying and lazy.
The game definitely has SO much potential to start the beginning of anime games finally being GOOD again, but yeah the multiple character slots for the same character is ridiculous.
