Just received my Mantis King GT today and for anyone wondering yes it’s amazing and yes the cons have been fixed(rear fender/latch) so if you are on the fence about it just get it👌
i just upgraded from Niu KQi3Max to Mantis King GT and i totally understand the video title, like putting a saddle on a tiger is a PERFECT description for this scooter. the first time i put it in dual motor mode was quite an experience.
@@sunnykundi2479 just passed 100 miles on the mkgt and i love it. i still have my Niu but have no desire to ride it anymore. as for the mkgt my only complaints - need to hold the mode button to change to dual motor mode every time you turn on the scooter, the updated rear fender still slaps the rear tire on bumps i upgraded to an aftermarket that mounts to the brake bracket. i did consider other larger scooters but i think the mgkt is the perfect balance of high performance and the 75 pound weight is manageable when i do need to lift it.
As nice as the King GT here is, I'm still a fan of the V2 I bought. Kaabo seems to have been the right pick for me overall. :) Gonna stick around this brand for a hot minute going forward.
Eating my words a bit. Wish I'd gotten the king gt. It has all the upgrades I wish my V2 had when I've talked to others about things. Oh well. Live and learn! C: That'll be the next one I buy.
Great video, thanks! I'd really love to see your comparison with the v2 base model, since I owe one. For me it's all about the price/performance I get. And as far as I can see, the major upgrades are: locking mech., adjustable suspension and the bigger branded battery. However, the price in my region is €2150 for a King GT vs €1215 for a V2 Base model (And ~€1900 for a v2 pro model). I've added semi off-road tyres (€50) and an extended rear fender (€25) and that's it. The performance it delivers is more than enough for most people. 64 km/h top speed on a full charge; smooth and rapid acceleration, ipx5 water protection; zoom hydraulic brakes; great suspension (which is on a firm side) which is great on pavement and fairly good on light gravel paths. 18.2AH battery gives me a range of around 40km on a 3rd gear all the time. Should we, the base model owners, upgrade to a King GT? Is the difference in riding quality worth ~€850?
Loved this review! Beautiful shots and great information, subscribing right away! Also, I'm thinking of upgrading from a Vsett 9+, I love the Vsett, but I need more range and this just looks so perfect.
Wanted to point out an error from the article. The USB port does not charge devices. I reached out to Kaabo and Voro customer support and they confirmed this for me. The Wolf King GT is able to charge a device with the USB port.
You are the king of scooter reviews, thanks for making our decisions a lot easier! I have a stupid question if you have the time, if you could only have either this scooter or the voro RoadRunner, not the pro, which would you choose, I know they are completely different. Thank you
🙏Please explain the built-in steering damping. This video is the only place (including marketing material from Kaabo) that I’ve heard mention of it. A lot of mantis owners like to add dampers, but the apparatuses I’ve seen are easily visible.
Congrats for the video. A kind question: In your opinion, are the handlebars too high for a 1.70 m person? I would like to know the height from the footboard to the steering knob.
Think I'll stick with my Mantis Pro and get a Wolf Warrior when I can be arsed or as/if/when UK eScooter Laws change. Upgrade from a 2000 Watt to a 2000 watt? Who are you trying to kid. It's not a upgrade it's just marginally better.
Would the mantis king GT and the wolf warrior x GT be strong/big enough for a person who weights 230 pounds or would you suggest bumping up to the wolf king GT. Smaller riders I’m sure they are all great but for bigger taller riders should we even consider these?
0:54 just got mine, have approx 15 miles on it and it shuts down while driving and screen goes blank. Have to unplug the screen for it to turn back on then it goes out again after about 10 minutes. Very irritating for a new scooter.
Hi! I just published my review of the SPLACH Titan on my website (www.electricscooterinsider.com/electric-scooters/reviews/splach-titan-review/) . It's a brilliant scooter. One of the best I've reviewed all year. I also got an exclusive discount which lets you get it for $1,149 + free accessories worth $169 (total savings $1,219 on original price) - hope this helps!

I would say mantis king GT.. I purchased a phantom v3 but due to apollo taking forever to ship and steadily pushing the ship dates back over and over I canceled my order and went with the mkgt. So excited to receive it. Should have went with mkgt first after looking at stats, customer support, parts availability, and community reported issues that were solved. Mkgt for the win
Great review 1 of many I’ve watched and easily more informative than most one thing that would have been nice was to explain the suspension adjustment more in detail as for a novice to stiffen clockwise and soften anti clockwise other wise great ps no other review covers this info either regards new buyer S M barracroc
Just got one this week, it's Fully Sick. I keep seeing people adjusting lighting, but I can't for the life of me, find the scooter on bluetooth, inorder to connect it to the LED Hue APP. Anyone????
Do the brakes normally have a drumming sound to them when held down? Mine kind of has a clack clack clack rumbling sound happening.. they work great I just wanted to make sure that sound is normal. First high performance scooter so definitely a noob
It sounds like you may have the anti-lock braking system on. It rapidly increases and reduces braking pressure multiple times per second to stop the wheels from locking up and skidding. My suggestion would be to check whether it's on via the displays advanced settings - you can find how to do this in the manual. (If my memory serves me right I think you have to hold and press down the plus and minus buttons together immediately after the scooter has been turned on to access the settings).
@@ElectricScooterInsider Thank you so much man! You were exactly right, I certainly did have ABS Mode on. Iol total noob coming from a Hiboy S2 Pro. I appreciate your help!
Any idea what the usb is for then? I recently bought this scooter and assumed I had faulty usb port since I couldn't charge my phone or the usb bike light I added. Disappointing as it would have been handy to keep my light topped up when it's still attached to the scooter.
