+mitsukipuki Just get the pan medium hot for 15-20 minutes......put a good amount of olive oil on the pan to coat it, not too much but enough to coat it. Butter the sides of two slices of white bread, white bread and put the bread butter side down and rotate a bit. Put two slices of sharp cheddar on each slice with a piece of white cheese on each side as well, swiss or provolone, and when the two pieces of bread are golden brown, flip them on top of eachother and then pull off the pan and let cool for 10-15 minutes. The texture between the crunch of the bread and the soft cheese, not HOT cheese, will make the perfect grilled cheese. Enjoy and do not over complicate
You very well might already know this... but he and the chef who consulted on the movie go over how to make this grilled cheese in the first episode of The Chef Show on Netflix. 🤷🏻♂️
Its all about not cooking too fast but having the pan real hot, and to get that crunch you need thicker bread than wonderbread and make sure you are using real salted butter and make sure after your first flip you reapply more butter on the crisp to get that extra buttery crunch
