Anyone who has lost someone they love FEELS this song. I feel a great deal of empathy for those who have to endure something like that. I love when music truly speaks to so many people and sends waves of emotion through your entire being. A trademark of a musical masterpiece. I personally think it’s their most well written song, from a lyrical and structural perspective.
hearing those isolated parts of the song really makes me appreciate every member of the band even more. The Triology hits me hard every time. Chills the whole song ! Good job, looking forward for the next 2 parts from you :)
The "Pain Remains" LP is a concept album. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS It's about a man that falls into a dreamworld, makes it lucid(Welcome Back, O' Sleeping Dreamer, Into The Earth), becomes god of the world(Sun//Eater), enjoys his reign for a bit(Cursed To Die), then, experiences disenchantment, resentment, and futility(Soulless Existence, Apotheosis). This ends in anger/wrath(Wrath), until he finds a love, who subsequently vanishes as quickly as she appeared, which is where the trilogy starts(Pain Remains I, II, III). The trilogy details the culmination of all the songs together by the rage, despair, and hopelessness the protagonist feels at losing what he thought would fix his "perfect dream world" where he was god. Turns out dreams are meaningless without action so the protagonist tries to burn the world down to escape back to reality. Which is where the triumphant melody from the chorus of part 2 and the end of the trilogy comes from. It's a call to action. So the protagonist may or may not have escaped at the end. I like to think of it as similar to when Leonardo Di Caprio's character and his lover got stuck in dream level 4 during Inception, if you've ever seen that movie.
Waiting for your reaction to Part II & III feels like Christmas in February. Your interpretation so far was on point. I also like, how you are mixing the technical aspects on voice and music with your emotional sensation ...😊
Great reaction! And the next won’t be so bad. It’ll be all puppy dogs and candy canes 😅 It’s not like they will tear your soul out and drop kick murphy it out of the solar system or anything. 😂
I really appreciate the blend of analytical and emotional reaction that you bring to your video's. Awesome stuff. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and yourself.
Yeah, Pain Remains is a masterpiece of art. I was very much into this trilogy right before I came across Babymetal and been on a completely different spiritual journey sense. Been in the fox hole for about half a year now and coming back to this, makes me realise how crazy my life journey has been between that time and now. I would like to follow your journey to the end of this trilogy. Keep it up!
Got to see them play the entire pain remains trilogy masterpiece live, shit was amazing! Id never heard something so brutal and heavy before that can strike an emotional reaction like this shit can! Beyond incredible composition in all three songs and how they flow together into a whole!!

Absolutely beautiful song, not often you hear what’s essentially a deathcore ballad, this for sure made people cry, then came part 2, can’t wait to watch.
It still hits me. The trilogy is beautiful but so incredibly sad. Having lost a lot of family and a couple of friends over the past few years i felt it and it hurt. 💔
I so wish I listened to this trilogy more, but most of my general listening is when I'm driving, riding or in my workshop. After having to pull over on a freeway because I was crying so much, and then bursting into tears and nearly losing my hand to a tablesaw, I decided to remove it from most of my playlists 😭
help, i'm trapped in a react to pain remains pt 1 cycle and can't escape - BUT, you are the only one i took the time to watch all of it and not just the ending because you actually had very nice insights and technical stuff to reveal for this song. thank you and subbed
the pain remains trilogy is, to me, the ultimate song for grief or sadness. alot of songs dont portray the anger and bitterness that come with those other emotions. genuinely one of my favorite albums of all time. they killed it live as well.
The pain remains trilogy BROKE me

Not even just losing someone, but just the fact of being on the edge of self deletion yourself.... The whole series is just so good
I've never cried to a deathcore song before... this broke me
Well that was one thing we all thought to never say until this song...
Best reaction I’ve seen of this so far
Agreed

Just found ya and I appreciate the way you react; especially to this song. It’s great when you can feel all of it, even the guitars like you said!!

Awesome reaction, had this on like a 3 month loop when it dropped, drums crush!!
After losing my daughter this hit me like a massive ton of bricks and I've been a vocalist for 10 years and I have cried trying to cover this song.
great reaction straight to the point and still analyzing and stuff
Great reaction to one of the fantastic works of Art of our generation. Thanks for sharing
❤❤❤❤ Спасибо, Алан! Я слушала с интересом эту музыку и твои комментарии к ней! Обожаю твои реакции! 😊❤
Hits me every time…
This trilogy is the most beautiful thing in this history of music
You made a reaction supercut for this song: Supercut #2 of RUclipsrs reacting to Lorna Shore - Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames
That solo. That whisper. That lyric.
Somehow more brutal than the music that preceded.
