Again, great work! It's fascinating to see the inside of some of these mines. When we were kids the only one we dared go into was the Buckley Mine (didn't know the name until seeing this). It would be great to get a view of inside the Goldstar Mine. But, that particular mine has been locked for years and years. There is also a mine in the Millard Canyon area, the Dawn Mine. Not sure if there is access due to the Station Fire. Thank you for this...really great.
Just discovered your channel today. Was interested in hiking up to that last one. Great timing on uploading this today as well! Thanks for all your information.
Hello brotherB, what resource do you recommend to use if one wanted to find each of these mines? I tried LAGoldMines. com and it is fairly vague about the mines of Las Flores Canyon
I'm more of a cave explorer than mine explorer, but I've checked out a couple mines in my time too! Caves & mines similar in nature: both require extreme care in exploration! We have gold mines in MD...which I'm dying to locate for obvious reasons!
I haven't been there since I made my video of the Dawn Mine but I have heard the forest service have closed the entrance with bars.. are you planning a trip to the Dawn Mine..?
@@Sobaire really..? Alright, hopefully it is cuz that's a fun mine, I dnt recommend accessing the mine from the top, that's super dangerous, but yeah it would take about 3 hours to get to it so bring lots of water and take a buddy.. bring flashlights and even bring glowsticks, tie a string on them cuz in the mine is a deep hole that you'll be able to get a good look at if u lower the glowsticks down.. lemme know ur experience =)
I bring a sandwich, orange, jar of peanuts, my camel pack is filled w water, hand sanitizer, compass, a candle w small box of matches even for a quick hike just in case, flashlight w 4 extra batteries, a switchblade to fight off bobcats and mountain lions, I put my phone on airplane mode while I hike to save battery or else it'll drain quickly while searching for signal, I wear a fedora hat so it doesn't hurt when I smack my head on the top of a mine..the best advice I can tell u is tell someone where you're going or at least post to your social media before u start so the search party knows where to begin. Oh, n look down often to watch out for rattlesnakes. =)
**I did a bunch of research regarding the history of hole #9.** It required a cross country drive of thousands of miles each way, followed by multiple personal interviews and MUCH reading at several gov't records offices. But the result of these months of data collection, is this; I learned that hole #9 was dug immediately before hole #10, but shortly after hole #8! That confirmed the suspicions of other people, but it had NEVER been clear to me, until the very end!
These mines seemed to be pretty narrow. Specially the McNally mine, it seems to "swallow" you. Thanks for the adventure! Hey, did I see something on the wall at 4:13?
Hey brother... Do you have a cat? Right around @7:44 I hear what sounds like a meow right after you say "mine" as give the name "Twaddell Mine" I am not a content creator, but I feel safe to assume you dub the narrating later at home, right? Or could it be something Ur camera mic picked up in the cave? On a side note, I respect Ur passion for the Pasadena Foothills or is it The San Gabriel Mountains? You take all the right steps like pants, not cargo shorts & timberlands, Gloves, Hat, Letting people know where Ur gonna be hiking, taking a camel and not a single bottle of water, taking snacks ETC.... Super cool of you brotherB to take it serious, as anyone who goes up there should. Accidents are called just that for a reason.... PEACE BRO.
wow, that's pretty trippy, I listened to that clip like 10 times and I have no idea what that was lol I recorded the voice over with a mic alone in my room, I never had a cat but that definitely sounded like one, there were no cats in the mine but maybe my friend made a 'meow' sound outside of the mine and I didn't notice. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You sound like an adventure seeker yourself, have you hiked anywhere fun recently..?
E Bandit; I'm a friend of brotherBvideos. Go to All Trails.Com Dawn Mine Trail. Look for Jaime Salazar, post it's the best in tell how to get there. He goes hiking all the time. He does take people out on Trail Tours as well. If your interested on a Trail Tour. Post your answer if you'd like to go. With Heck Yeah! So there can be a meet up for it.
Always one can look at the walls in the tunnels to see the whole state grounding EMF it makes (human picture fossils). Pictures turn into clues about what (is) going on. California's scientific auto biography. Useeme. Guess it is why they put all that graffiti
I’ve been to tunnel #8 back in 2017 with some bolt cutters , we cut that gate opened and wondered pretty far in that tunnel ! It’s very wet and humid
I would have loved to have been there and recorded, that sounds amazing =) thank you for the post

Very awesome video dude, thanks for upload.
I watched a 2017 video of the Dawn Mine. They said it had been iron fenced off. Do you know if this is true?
I haven't been there since I made my video of the Dawn Mine but I have heard the forest service have closed the entrance with bars.. are you planning a trip to the Dawn Mine..?
I am thinking about it. The hike looks tough, but I think I can do it.
@@brotherBvideos I saw another video from a year ago that shows it is still accessible. It's about a 6 mile round trip hike. Is that accurate?
