Coastwatch follows Fishery Officers, men and women volunteering for Northland Regions Coastguard, and the Northland Electricity Rescue Helicopter thank you for doing your jobs! Teaching and catching poachers! Take care and be safe.
i dont get why you just take the items they gathered then say we could take your car and gear but were not , take the gear and the car and they less likely to do it again , they claimed X amount which was 3x what was allowed and actualy had twice what they claimed then they drive off laughing proberly to just go out the next day or even that day to get more
NZ Fishery should know there Boundaries because the Māori guy has a point, If NZ fishery’s want to do inspections and investigations they need to go to the Local Māori Olders and ask permission especially when they on Māori Land along there local Coastal Reefs
It pisses me off how alot of Maori are the first ones to point the finger at others for taking undersize and excess Kai Moana. When they get caught, it all of a sudden becomes an entitlement of the Maori culture to have excess Kai, and say bullshit about how its their right to take it. All I see is just greed, and the abuse of Maori rights. Worse thing about it, im Maori.... Just puts our culture to shame seeing things like this.
Take it all, they bloody know
Take everything off them letting them keep cars boats dive gear. Says they can keep doing it.
Yous do a good job preventing all the Raiders good on yous

that amount of overhaul should be deffs a bigger fine than that!
I see NZ still has two laws
Looking after the resources for future generations.
What type of people crap on their own kids future.
Its easy to fine the young lads with 13 over the limit but cant do anything about the burglers at thr marai who have hundreds .
Pakeha is easy pickings ... and they will pay the fine.
Commercial reef rapists are the worst

Shocking show how some don't care about our ocean sea life.
You don't if you think recreational gatherers like this is the problem and commercial reef rapists aren't
Get onto the marae and you are untouchable I guess
What is the difference of a Marare and a living humans property?
Obvious question...why isn't there a bucket of sea water to put confiscated shellfish into to save them?

Particularly when the rest of the population of NZ is obeying the laws.
