A man who played a satirical version of himself as an insane newscaster has a chat with Ron Burgundy
Bravo!
Corny
Well played!
It's so ... meta.
I tip my hat to you sir.
Did his math right. 62 times 7 is 434. Good stuff
@@alexfatzinger9584 Yes, and that math was fairly easy too anyway
@@alexfatzinger9584 this is obviously an improv so he calculated that on the spot.
Or you can do (60 x 7) + (2 x 7) :)
@Justen Smith No, that was multiplication, which is one form of math. You're thinking of the class that teaches multiple forms... so Maths.
@Justen Smith This may come as a shock, but different cultures have different uses of shared languages.
His math is spot on.. gotta give em props for that
@Justen Smith THANK YOU! I've yet to hear a Brit or Canadian make that mistake. I'm an American & it irritates me to no end when people say or write "math."
@Justen Smith Thanks David Mitchell.
Justen Smith Maths is the British slang. Math is the American slang.
Justen Smith You clearly have no understanding of how language functions. It’s a dynamically evolving thing and to be as rigidly prescriptive as you are, especially about a country 3000 miles away is anachronistic and frankly just an exercise in futility. Regional dialects even exist within the UK and within England, so pretending like the United States shouldn’t have differences in language beyond your arbitrarily imposed limit is completely ridiculous.
@DEVANSH He assumed it was joke and is basically playing the straight man in this interview.
lol Colbert thought his answer of 434 was schtick but he was actually giving the right answer.
Which is precisely the point
@xxGodx He did it in literally three seconds. I just timed it. That's slow?
Okay bud.
@xxGodx oh get over urself
@xxGodx i have a master's in physics. get over yourself with your cheap parlor tricks. learn some real math.
@xxGodx look at how insecure you are. my degree in physics wasn't brought up to impress you. instead just to show you how stupid you are to say that i can't do math when i teach it. "no one cares about how fast you can multiply", was, and is still, my point. grow up.
let me explain it to you in a way you might be able to understand. if no one cares about my physics degree (which is approximately true), think of how much less people care about your speedy ability to do 2 by 1 digit multiplication lol
Will Ferrell's Manager: Which late night show do you want do tonight?
Ron Burgundy: Yes
lolololol
Stephen, when I watch your show it’s like being given a much needed warm hug. 😁💙💙💙💙
Will Ferrell is a legend, right after Ron Burgundy!
When he asked if he had slept with anyone for an interview, he should've said "Well, I'm here aren't I, Stephen?"
Hah. True, that would have been a riot.
nice one , but i hear more like of a Kevin Hart answere :)
I love how excited Stephen gets when he has a really creative and funny guest on the show. He knows he's going to have a good time.
He almost started laughing when he mentioned Baxter at 1:43 😆
2:25 434 is actually right though!!!
You know when people say about someone that they are the national treasure?! Ron Burgundy is exactly... opposite of that. Never change Burgundy!
Well...... that escalated quickly. I mean that really got out of hand.
Out of hand? Escalated? What are you talking about?
I miss that meme
Yeah! I stabbed a man in the heart
The gestures, eyes and face, take it over the top.
"Was it Matthew Broderick playing Ferris Bueller who conducted the investigation?"
Not gonna lie, if they made a sequel film where Ferris was still an endearingly sly fox only now he was using those skills for a greater good than simply a day off, I'd totally watch that.
R.I.P. Grumpy Cat, forever in our hearts.
I’m in tears!!!! 😭 😂🤣
Is your hay fever playing up?
This guy add lib's skills are phenomenom
Victor Boucao which one you think?

Honestly, Colbert should continue interviewing fictional characters so we can get a break from Trump.
He should devote his whole show to insulting that inhuman piece of shit every night.
Completely agree with the other two replies - Stephen and every other late night host needs to keep the heat on Trump. I get that people are completely over the endless scandals, and many of us feel powerless to do anything about the criminal cabal sitting in the Oval Office as I type this. The suggestion that he's grooming Ivanka (work with me..) for a run in 2024 just sends a chill down my spine.

Ferris Bueller!! so he can give his opinion on his report
Ya just had to turn this political didn’t ya? Well I’m voting for trump. Trump 2020!! Before you say anything I’m a Hispanic gen z New Yorker, do yourself a favor and do real research! Trump is going to be in office for a while he’s done more for this country in just one day than you probably ever will. Dems are the real idiots who hate America and are racists. You’re in trump world now, get used to it cuz it’s gonna be a great long ride! Trump has hired more people immigrants than you ever will, if you ask his employees about him they love him. He gives thousands of people jobs both from his businesses under him we’ve had most people off of unemployment and off of Foodstamps. He’s made several programs that are beneficial for Hispanic and black communities. You’re just a sad sore looser without common sense.
Has anyone commented on the fact that in the intro, Colbert doesn't have two drinks in front of him, but when Burgandy is introduced, two drinks magically appear?! Fred Caps baby!
This Ron guy looks like Will Ferrell
I am sure a no talent bum like Ferrell just fashioned himself after the wonderful Burgundy. Very unethical, but what else would we expect from Hollywood. 😎
Ferrell WISHES he was that handsome. I be next you'll say something else silly... like Deadpool kinda looked like Ryan Reynolds under the mask. ; )
I don’t see it.
I thought it WAS Will Ferrell dressed up as a character! Spitting image!
He is Will Ferrell. :) That's the joke.
That chap looks vaguely familiar..
John Bolton's little brother ?
He's will Ferrell
Cheers - I was aware it's Will.. ;)
George Bush?
Loved it when he asked about his dog. :D
This is the best thing I’ve ever seen!
So funny!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
OH MY GOD... This is pure gold!! LOLOLOLOL
The Bueller report was quick humor, but his math was on point, comedy is just being completely on and Will just proved it
Will Ferrell is hilarious, especially his Harry Cary impersonation. I wonder the taping schedule. Tonight he did kümmel, Colbert, and Corden that I know of. He probably did Fallon and Meyers too.
He did! How?!?
I only knew he did Fallon Kimmel and Seth, now seeing Colbert and hearing Corden. Kimmel is in LA! Either pre-taped or he did all the New York shows early, private jet to LA and did Kimmel late? Where is Corden filmed? This is my new favorite mystery.
Oh, and Conan!!
Alexis Conklin that’s what I’d like to know. Must have been a tricky taping schedule.
Alexis Conklin Corden tapes in California.
I needed the laugh. God bless u 2!!
I just love the subtle eye ques, "Stephen keep it together, Will no you keep it together". Good things.
Please tell me ANCHOR MAN 3 IS HAPPENING!
That would be awesome!
IF you need more RB, check out his podcast. It's just all kinds of weird and good. (The Ron Burgundy podcast, of course.)
Let's hope not cuz part 2 was one of the worst movies that was ever made
@@redmist78 I thought the same at first, but after re-watching it's scary how accurate it became, and that's true comedy.
@@redmist78 thats a really internetty thing to say.
I wish people understood how funny this actually is. So many funny lines all improv
Amazing.
Hahaha I loved it (very good combination, Colbert and Burgundy are very good ❤️)
Conan, Colbert, Corden, Kimmel, Fallon, & Myers, all were blessed by the Burgundy. Am I missing anyone?
Me, because I didn't have to endure this over-rated, unfunny character.
Love the subtle 80s reference "times that by 7".
Stephen Colbert and the amazing teleporting scotch glasses.
Sleeping with someone just for a story. Oh well. "When in Rome. "
Yes? Please go on...
That was an awkward moment...
When this came out I didn't think things could get any worse in the US. Oh, how I have been humbled. We need Ron more than ever in 2020.
How am I the only to notice Ron Burgundy being on ALL late night shows yesterday evening? He was her, he was at Seth, EXCLUSIVE on Jimmy Kümmel and on James Corden’s LatelateNight. HOW does this work? This magic?
Love ol Ron 😂
Ron Burgundy for President! Ferris Bueller for Vice President! WTF could go wrong?
Baxter 2010 R.I.P ❤️
So much funnier with Stephen's improvisational talent!
The death of grumpy cat LOL
Will Ferrell was brilliant as Dubya in 'You're welcome America'
It was ROB Lowe all along! 😝 with some help from Baxter, Molly Ringwald, and Chevy chasers.
Good job Ron! 434... that's fast math 💯❤
It got better as an interview
He was on almost every chat show last night 😂 Conan, Fallon Myers, James gordan and this 😂
Good catch with Baxter lol
Ron on point with his multiplication tables
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he's always super funny
I have GOT to see 'The Anchorman'
Where can I find the full episode of this
Baxter is far older than 62...
He is an ancient Norse Bear God that transcends time.
Will Ferrell just doesn't goddamn break at all. Stephen tried haha
João Pedro Tomás they are both old masters. Incredible show down
Yeah, Bengal Tiger !
These comments are all math, Ron Burgundy's ability to appear on multiple shows simultaneously (a nod to his 'exclusive comedy') or demand for sequels.
Oh Will, you are a bit of a treasure (his commencement address is one of my favorite bits).
This guy Ron vaguely reminds me of some other guy from SNL, someone with cowbell
Come on Gene....we need more cowbell!
will was mad that stephen didn't wanna check the math lmao
Wow, those whiskey glasses just magically appear at 9 seconds..
Ron Burgundy. What a legend.
It would have been fun if it was Stephen from the Colbert show interviewing him ......... ^_^
He did 4 talk shows in one night. How's that even possible?
6 shows
@@matsujonen that's even more fucked up
@@palsp666 All the shows were recorded at different dates. This one was probably done in April or May.
Its coz the sets are nearby and they arent live
@@cellman6719 Oh wow
Colbert's glass after 4 visits from all interview clips in this one interview hasn't went down a smidgen meaning each time he puts it to his mouth he is literally wetting his tongue and placing the glass down. The Heartless part of this story is he knows Ron is on 4 other late nights shows and well if Ron can drink why cant you Stephen on 1 one hour show.
This gives me hope for Anchorman 3
whoa
Love him😊💖
Jesus Christ, ads are now 15 minutes long? Goddamn thing was louder than the show and makes you wish you'd never sat down on the john, torture, pure and simple, holy hell.
3:13 Whenever Stephen does that I know the guest will rethink and rephrase his words.
with all these Ron interviews I'm hoping Anchorman 3 is coming
It better be
He DEFINITELY thought about saying Baxter is dead haha
It's really cool for a fictional anchor man to come on Colbert's show like this.
Stephen almost breaking is the best thing ever.
magic
As soon as he paused I just pictured Baxter getting kicked off the overpass.
The freestyle of comedy
Will Ferrell As Ron Burgundy AND "Man Who Thinks Recycling & Tote Bags Are Gay"
Steven almost had him a couple of times. So very funny.
Ron is a math genius. If he did say 434, he was right! 🙂
@Justen Smith dude you gotta calm down. Mathematics, take off the beginning of the word and you get math. Math is an abbreviation of mathematics and can refer to all kinds of mathematics or just one. Maths is an abbreviation that means just all types. This is like the "it's not soccer, it's football!" debate when England was literally the first one to call it soccer (shortened from association football or something) and then America and other countries adopted the term and then england changed it to football, and almost every country did too except for like three countries including America.
@@HouseMDaddict Lol no, whichever way you cut it, maths makes more sense as an abbreviation. You take off the beginning and some part of the end so you know you're referring to the same word, otherwise it's just a prefix. And it is nothing like the soccer-football divide, except in the sense that there is only one correct word.
I'll never understand people's "superiority" with words. Each country uses English in different ways, some countries/territories even have "broken English". Just because someone has different words or versions of words doesn't mean they're wrong. I think more people would get along if people learned their history as well as history of others, and respected that just because someone doesn't talk like you, doesn't automatically mean they're an idiot.
@@HouseMDaddict If someone uses broken English because they are not a native speaker, that's understandable. English is not my first language. Correctness however, is not a matter of superiority. You don't feel superior when you say 2+2 = 4, just correct.
Baxter 😂
Well, I am surprised the Thatcher exposé hasn't been picked up by mainstream media.
you so funny, boi.!!!!
2:03 - Brick was the math savant that taught Ron Burgundy.
Your'e a hunter and sometimes you're being hunted
I feel like Ron had to take a second for some of his answers to remember he was on network television.
Titan 515 maybe because anchorman three is in production and he can't give anything away 🤞🏻
They got me thinking I was drinking... and I felt was high.
"I did my mistakes." Slipping back in his George W. character.
Uh... yeah it really was 434! And that was some damn fast math... what the f@ck Ron the mathman Burgundy! 😂
i cant undo the image of tom Brokaw and M Thatcher
I know. Pretty hot, eh?
2:30 Holy shit the madlad did it...
where'd those glasses come from
I never heard of this guy!
This video starts with only a blue cup, but seconds later, 2 gin classes appear????
I noticed this and came to the comments. For whatever reason I guess they filmed a small intro bit for this? They did an amazing job of syncing the two clips together. They even got Stephen to move his hand juat right.
Yes, the stitching of the two clips is amazing!
On s side note - I checked the clothes of all hosts and they all match, ie the monologue and the Burgundy interview, even though they must've been filmed days or even weeks (not to raise suspicion) apart.
It's good of them to cram some program in these long run of adverts....
That Vietnamese racial profiling joke killed me. 😆😆😆🤣🤣😂😂😅😅
Grumpy Cat is not DEAD, here in PA, we now have 2, yes 2 lottery tickets that YOU CAN BUY, 1 is a scratch off, the other is a Fast Play. Grumpy Cat will live on in a society that wants to take your money NO MATTER WHAT!!! just making America Great AGAIN.
