I remember the populated servers on PoE & OPK mod way way back. Had many sleepless nights with friends playing both mods online. Those were the good times..

Watching your BF2 mod play throughs always remind me of how we could've had many cool and insane mods on the frostbite titles had DICE not removed mods and bots. Base multiplayer is fine, but it gets boring after a while (especially these days..).I'll never understand the thought process of removing them.
It's sadly the push for graphical fidelity with Frostbite. Even if they wanted to do them, apparently they legally can't create them, since some of the technical assets are copyrighted by other companies. Yet, I still wished they managed to make a deal to have an editor out. It's just lost potential.

I really miss BF2. I remember playing a lot of Battlefield Vietnam: Point of Existence while watching BF2 trailers and teasers. How is the BF2 community, are there cheaters? Most modern FPS are filled with them so i don't bother anymore but i miss multiplayer fps.

I have played this one back in 2016, but with years passing you tend to forget what happened before. I'm glad that returning to it was worth it, it definitely deserves a higher mark.

Firing 5.56mm NATO, G36 at the under armour of a MiL-26P/MiL-35.... faceplams ;-P :-o ;-)
..be glad the pilot didn't if it was on cooldown, or couldn't, drop a bomb on you after you letting it know where you was, ..but his friend would do... ;-)
At around 4mins 48sec, begin to hear you the sound of BF2'sartillery strike being called in by the enemy commander player/npc upon you as you drove along. Yeah some of the SP AI has slight navmesh randomality spawn point to nav routing issues, it helped mitigate some other AI problems elsewhere within the games engine - solved via a the 'bot build up' being cleared with say a grenade, or some C4 ;-P
I am sure at one point during game development, that it was toyed with keeping the Soviet Hind's bomb drop, but was judged as being overpowerful on the anti tank heavy cannon armed 26/35 Hind variant.
Forgive me, I am reading as an A whole idiot, nostalgia of triggered online memeories of those times has been triggered in its tangentally fragmented time un-compresseing way.
Nistru is not only a Moldovan thing, you know.
And they don't speak Ukrainian, they speak Russian with Caucasian accent (wich is silly, but ok).
And the Ukrainian faction includes not only Soviet weaponry, but also Ukrainian original weapons and vehicles - Vepr, Fort, Oplot etc, also Russian weapons like Vintorez.
And yes, your content is great.
It's still damn cool to see Moldova in a modification, especially after Final War promised to deliver it, cancelling it afterwards. The conflict in this mod is mostly fictionalized, but it's funny to see how some of these events have been predicted. Thank you for the comment :)
@@ChrisTGamingZone well, actually, they weren't predicted at all, cause in this mod Ukraine established some sort of military dictatorship and invaded Belarus (and Sudan, for the oil). With these circumstances, also because of the violation of the human rights, USA and Germany are invading/intervening Ukraine. It would be interesting, if this mod included Romania as an NATO-member and one of the neighbors with the most interest. But this mod doesn't predict the real events - Russian invasion of Crimea and proxy-war in Donbas region, even if PoE2 includes Donetsk maps.
And there is a mod for M&B Warband with Moldova in 16th century, "Honour&Glory". You can check that out.

I do hope any other exPOE forum-ers might see this and, think, job reasonable well tested in time, so many years later.
This mod won I beleive Mod DB's Mod of the Year 200- ..7 or 8?? going buy memory - feth, I'm older now than I was back then, in the then working forum domain.
Ahem, fun times rekindled reading the dev team's struggles and laughter etc. ..but now the forum is dead, and Mod-dot-DB only some has some recent followers, I need advice with a fresh collectors pack BF2 v1.1.22 install of this mod.
And I cant remember the methodology of patching and installs - was the mod interlieaved installs with BF2 patches, or at what level the mod was overlaid over what BF patch - Gak me it's over 12 years ago..!!

What I liked about this game was less of the public jerks tking you for aircraft... much more tactical gameplay... and the extreme differences between the Ukrainian and German armies

Everything well on my side, thanks for concerns mate! I stand with Ukraine in the current events, really hope this conflict will be solved peacefully. There is no need for wars to happen in this era :\
Pretty cool to see a Battlefield mod guessing the Ukrainian conflict from 2014. It definitely shows its age though, with the buildings looking a bit weird, the textures are high-quality, while the models are dated.
Agreed on that, but during those times, this project was something groundbreaking.
It's the first I seen having actual custom buildings, and not featuring any vanilla locations in it.
It didn't guess anything. This mod had a Ukrainian dictatorship invade Belarus with NATO forces intervening to stop them. It's almost the opposite of reality. Great mod though.
