The wooden implement you picked up in the kitchen section is indeed a piece of cookware. It's made to stir a pot of Mexican hot chocolate by rolling the handle between the palms of the hands.
Its a wearable quilt. Kinda like an original snuggie. They came out in the 1970's. You can spread it out like a quilt on your bed or wrap it around yourself using the buttons/snaps.
I don't have the goggle lens app either. In my Google search bar there is a camera symbol. Hit that. You can take a picture right then or add a pic from your pictures. It will search and bring information up for that item. I love it!
I loved thrifting and the thrill of the hunt. If I can't really do it much anymore due to health and too much in my house to dust now, I love watching others finding some great things. I especially like watching people that are thrifting for their own personal use and not for resale. Happy thrifting!
Julie, that comforter with the snaps is a snug sack from the 70"s. You can also snap it up to make a sleeping bag. My husband and I both were gifted them one Christmas. I loved to cover up with mine while watching tv.
Yep, I had one as a teenager and I loved it. 😃 I would snap it up around me when watching TV in the living room and I would unsnap it and place it atop my twin bed when it was time to go to sleep. I think it was the original “SNUGGIE”. 😄
I think it might be one of those blankets you snap certain ends together to make like a sleeping bag. Not quite a sleeping bag but something you would snuggle in. 😂
The knife and cutting board you asked about is the best knife ever for cutting bread. I have the knife. Didn’t know there was a board. I paid a lot for my knife and I have babied that life. Love it.
The wooden utensil is a Mexican too to make hot chocolate, it adds air to the liquid you roll it between your hand back and forth. I just know my granny used it to help dissolve the cocoa hard chocolate
I had the "Love is" picture that I purchased from Home Interiors. When I no longer wanted to keep the picture on my wall I cut all of the hearts out and made a garland that I hang for Valentine's Day each year.
Incase no one said it or not, but that one knife taped to a wooden tray is a bread "fiddle bow" knife. It's used to slice whole loads of bread into even slices. I got one over 20 years ago and I don't often get whole loans of bread but when I do I use it. Might want to pick it up next time if its still there. Have a great day
My daughter gave me roses like the ones you purchased. Mine are purple, love your pink ones. They are made out of wood. When they first arrived they had a heavenly scent, which lasted about 6 mos. I don't know about the rest of the things you had questions about. The quilt you picked up reminds me of a duet. Love watching you thrift. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The quilt with the buttons can be buttoned to the wall for a wall hanging there is snaps in different types of things that you can put up, and then snap or button the quilt to it
Hello The wooden utensil you asked about is a tool for mixing Mexican hot chocolate I truly appreciate that you thrift for yourself and friends and family It’s like a treasure 7:42 hunt every time you out and look
I work at Goodwill before, I have done the pricing lol. We don't have a special pice for them. So doing that pricing you had same person so that person puts the pricing that why you see that over and over like .29 I love your channel. I have gone Goodwill in the past. (Well to many times). But since I became disabled I love watching people shop.
It is a Snuggie!!! My great grandpa had several and I loved them so much as a little girl! Finally, when I was about 9 or 10, my parents got me one! It was the best gift ever lol
Hi Julie, love watching all the unique things you happen upon!! After I watch I go to the comments to find out what folks are saying!! Thanks for all you share.
Great haul Julie! Those roses look exactly like ones that I have..mine are made of some really thin wood-like material that has been rolled and shaped into roses.
Hi hope you and your family are doing well love the video and I believe the cover is a deuve love your channel and many blessings to you and your family
Did someone answer already or maybe you already know but I believe the roses are made out of wood shavings, thin layers of wood. I have one like that; it came in a vibrant red but like yours, with the Sun ray and what not, the color has faded like yours.
That's a bread slicer, it's good for french bread because the crumbs fall under the grate and you don't have a big mess on the counter where you sliced it. The other thing is a wooden whisk for mexican cocoa drink. I think those roses are balsa wood.
Hi Julie. I’m glad I saw this video. For some reason, I’m not receiving notifications on my phone for videos. I have to go on the RUclips app to see what is on it. The flowers look like the ones my bridesmaids carried in my wedding 43 years coming up in June. Yellow and peach were my colors. I’ve never seen the items that you’re talking about, so I don’t know what they are used for. Have a great week. 😊
I would have walked right by the hanger for the leggings not knowing what it was. 😂 Now I think I’ll be on the lookout for one! Pretty sure the idea with the slatted board & knife is that you cut your loaf of bread on the slats and the crumbs fall through onto the tray below. I was interested to see you got a reply on the wooden thing being to blend Mexican hot chocolate. I was given some in the past and it was in disks like hockey pucks, so I can see how that would work!
I just love your videos Julie. You have such amazing taste, and can see the potential in everything. There are pieces I cant visually see being used and somehow you make things look so beautiful. I love thrifting but your videos give me so many ideas and make me try to see the potential in every piece.
So thankful for His amazing grace. Loved that jug w/the topiaries and saying. Perfect for my kitchen too. Will be on the hunt for one. Blessings Always
the tool is for mixing hot chocolate... you run t between your hand to froth the cocoa,,, it is a mexican tool, i also think the quilt with the snaps was a kind of electric blanket you could snap to make sleeves and wear as a sweater in your home when cuddling etc
I thrifted a large jar with a lid like yours for my laundry soap too!!! I love it in my laundry room...looks so vintage! As you said....anything to make laundry fun (which it's so NOT...LOL!!!)! A cute & cozy little vintage laundry room makes me happy!!! Love all your finds Julie!!!
I'd be thrilled to pick up the pants hanger for $1.29 too. I've just been packing today for a vacation and going through my wardrobe culling at the same time. I think having the right hangers for your clothes makes all the difference.
I believe that is a wood beater or whisk possibly from India. I found a couple of them in the utensil section of my Goodwill and researched it and that's what I came up with. I think it is vintage too... Pricing has gone up at our Goodwills to the point that I can often find the same item at Marshalls or TJ Max type stores for comparable pricing. I don't think there is a method to the madness either. I have often found (for example) a candle stick and then later find the mate to it on another shelf. One may be priced at $2.99 and it's twin is priced at $6.99. I believe it just depends on who in the sorting room priced it. If you peek through the sorting room door you will often see teenaged employees -- horsing around and having fun while they work. The downside is things get broken and they may not be versed in the values of items, particularly valuable items. One person may price one candle stick and another person prices it's mate. I point out the descrepancies to the manager and get them both for the lower price. Or, if you see two comparable items with wildly differing price tags, ask if you can get the more expensive one for the lower price. So, to sum up my looooong comment: I don't think pricing is guided by value most of the time, and it honestly is quite irritating to not be able to buy something just because it is way over priced and just sits on the shelf till it is sent to the landfill.
I couldn't agree more! My neighborhood thrift started increasing prices mid summer. Sometimes ever pricing items higher than the original price. Their pricing theory is: "let's see how much we can get for it!" And, many times they do, but many times the overpriced item stays on the shelf and ends up chipped, cracked or altogether broken, which is a shame. The pricers are usually young, or lacking knowledge of the value of things. Last year, I purchased three (3) Waterford crystal brandy snifters, and was informed originally they received 4, but they broke one thru careless mishandling! Retail price on those snifters was $160! EACH!
Love seeing a video tonight!! You are always so cute and informative!! I think the price in thrift stores has gone up because of all the resellers. They want to make the money that they are feel is going out the door.
Goodwills wash all items before putting them in any of the stores - here in Va. so I assume all over...that quilt had "urine/??? stains" so bad on the solid back - I would'nt want it if general washing wouldn't get it out...but it was a great color for you...enjoyed the vidoe
Marlene peters- I that same piece thats Mexican cocoa. I got it a while back and didn't know what it was; but I thought was cute and glad its for the kitchen because I liked the wood and put it with all my wooden utensils. Loved as always your video and the haul and styling. Blessings to you and your family.
Right. It's not just for resellers. I want to know what's something worth , if it's priced right. And sometimes to identify something I have no idea what it is. Very useful tool. Love it
I believe the quilted piece with buttons is a duvet cover. You can slip any comforter inside and protect it or update the colors.
The wooden implement you picked up in the kitchen section is indeed a piece of cookware. It's made to stir a pot of Mexican hot chocolate by rolling the handle between the palms of the hands.
Thank you 😊!
Interesting to know!
I never, thats neat to know!
It makes the Mexican hot chocolate taste 10x better I think. By spinning the tool it creats a foam on top of the hot chocolate
Yes …
Its a wearable quilt. Kinda like an original snuggie. They came out in the 1970's. You can spread it out like a quilt on your bed or wrap it around yourself using the buttons/snaps.
Oh cool. Thank you 😊
Yep. Like a quilt sleeping bag
I don't have the goggle lens app either.
In my Google search bar there is a camera symbol. Hit that. You can take a picture right then or add a pic from your pictures. It will search and bring information up for that item. I love it!

It’s a duvet cover. That’s why it has buttons.
That quilt blanket with the buttons looks like a snug sack. You button yourself up in it. My mom had one and loved it!
Hot chocolate mixer, Hispanics use it to mix Mexican cocoa. I have one.
Molinillo 😁❤
Thank you 😊
It could have been a DUVET COVER That is why the buttons could have on there. Happy Tuesday Julie, family, and fur babies. SHARED TO THE BURGH
Thank you😊
I think it might be one of those blankets you snap certain ends together to make like a sleeping bag. Not quite a sleeping bag but something you would snuggle in. 😂
That vingette with the wooden tray layered with the silver tray roses and vle and white dishes❤chefs kiss❤
I love when you said whatever you can do to make laundry more fun. Lol You found some good thrifts.❤
The knife and cutting board you asked about is the best knife ever for cutting bread. I have the knife. Didn’t know there was a board. I paid a lot for my knife and I have babied that life. Love it.
Hi Julie! Thanks again for another great video. I think those roses are beautiful! My favorite find of the day. Stunning.
Your friend Kristine
The wooden utensil is a Mexican too to make hot chocolate, it adds air to the liquid you roll it between your hand back and forth. I just know my granny used it to help dissolve the cocoa hard chocolate
Wood ut. Was for mexican chocolate it whips & breaks up the chocolate
Oh how interesting! Thank you 😊
I had the "Love is" picture that I purchased from Home Interiors. When I no longer wanted to keep the picture on my wall I cut all of the hearts out and made a garland that I hang for Valentine's Day each year.
Oh how smart! That’s awesome. Thank you 😊!
I have one of the "Love" prints. Got it at a yard sale. Never knew where it came from.....thanks
The roses are wood! I have a large bouquet in my bedroom!
I remember back in the 80s my sister had a sleeping bag like that that snapped to form arm holes. Like the 1st ever snuggy. It was great!
Oh. Y word those plates with the little yellow flowers are gorgeous! I would have snatched those right up!
First timer....I am a junker, picker but treasure keeper...rarely sell but love to repurpose. Really enjoyed your video
The wood slicer is for bread. Set your bread on top and crumbs are caught in the tray as you slice.
I love your videos. The peach-colored roses are actually made of wood. I remember them from many years ago. So pretty.
Thank you 😊 oh awesome. I love them.
Yes, very thin balsa I think. I purchased a few in the past, when they were "the thing!"
It is like a sleeping bag/blanket.
My mom had one in the 80s.
She used it sitting on the couch.
I like the idea that you are thrifting for your home.
I not sure if that was a duvet, at first I thought it was, but i,t could be a sleeping bag because of the snaps.
Have a great day
Hello Julie how are you l like your channel I watch you all the time
That wooden thing I believe is used to stir hot cocoa tablet made into hot chocolate drink.
Oh awesome! Thank you so much 😊
Julie the plates with yellow flowers are at lest 70 yrs. Old very vintage. Love them.
They were beautiful!
That was a duvet cover with the buttons. You take your comforter & put inside, then button the end. I knew you were taking the jar & scoop.
The quilt with the buttons can be buttoned to the wall for a wall hanging there is snaps in different types of things that you can put up, and then snap or button the quilt to it
Hello

It's a duvet comforter where has the cushion the softer part inside that comforter
The wooden collection you showed… the long bladed odd looking knife is called a “fiddle bow bread knife”
That wood thing it call it molenillo is from México to make home made hot chocolate. I brind 3 for decir
Thank you 😊!
The wood piece is for slicing bread! I recently found the slicer, wish they had had the wood piece too
Yes! It is a Mexican hot. Chocolate stirer!
I work at Goodwill before, I have done the pricing lol. We don't have a special pice for them.
So doing that pricing you had same person so that person puts the pricing that why you see that over and over like .29
I love your channel. I have gone Goodwill in the past. (Well to many times). But since I became disabled I love watching people shop.
Thank you for the info 😁
I Love when you do the haul at the end again. Love how you take us along your thrifting.
Thank you 😊! I’m always switching it up 😁
The quilt was probably one of those snuggle wraps people can put on while watching relaxing
Thank you 😊
It looked like a duvet cover!!!
It is a Snuggie!!! My great grandpa had several and I loved them so much as a little girl! Finally, when I was about 9 or 10, my parents got me one! It was the best gift ever lol
Definitely a type of snuggie
I have roses like yours & mine is made out of wood. Got them at the fair years ago
The roses are made of wood. I have some red ones I bought at a craft fair several years ago.
Loved the roses. My daughter had some and gave with gifts one year. I think they're made of balsa wood.

Thank you😊
I believe the roses you pick up are make out of wood. They’re very soft to the touch. 😊
Love the roses. Sorry that’s not going to make laundry fun.
Great haul Julie! Those roses look exactly like ones that I have..mine are made of some really thin wood-like material that has been rolled and shaped into roses.
Hi hope you and your family are doing well love the video and I believe the cover is a deuve love your channel and many blessings to you and your family
Your thrifting videos help satisfy my urge to shop. We just downsized so I don''t need to get anything, but it's still so fun to look 🙂
Temu has those hangers too. They have everything. Lol
The little white bowls I think are vintage, my mom used as nut bowls during bridge games
The “Comforter “ was a quilt cover or a duvet cover.
The thing you picked up with the snaps on it snaps into a cozy bag I have one kind of like a sleeping bag for snuggling up on the couch
Did someone answer already or maybe you already know but I believe the roses are made out of wood shavings, thin layers of wood. I have one like that; it came in a vibrant red but like yours, with the Sun ray and what not, the color has faded like yours.
Some of the plates that you run across are so pretty- I use them - if one is my color- as decor -I put it on a small easel😊
Because of you & other's like you & me, I'm in love with THRIFTING!!
That's a bread slicer, it's good for french bread because the crumbs fall under the grate and you don't have a big mess on the counter where you sliced it. The other thing is a wooden whisk for mexican cocoa drink. I think those roses are balsa wood.
Thank you 😊
Fun items. Like the silver cup for laundry.
My parents picked up one of those wooden things in Mexico in the forties. I never knew! I always thought it was a musical shaker🙂
Hi Julie. I’m glad I saw this video. For some reason, I’m not receiving notifications on my phone for videos. I have to go on the RUclips app to see what is on it. Great finds. I buy the stuffed bunnies like you saw to decorate for Easter. My grandchildren love playing with them.
Julie, the round wooden tier utensil is made in Mexico and is a chocolate stirrer!
I would have walked right by the hanger for the leggings not knowing what it was. 😂 Now I think I’ll be on the lookout for one! Pretty sure the idea with the slatted board & knife is that you cut your loaf of bread on the slats and the crumbs fall through onto the tray below. Same with me I had no clue lol
Me too.....😀
Loved the Flower Bouquet. I have a couple beige w out stems & one Pink w a stem., I have it in a red fluted vintage bud vase for Valentines Day❣

Goodwill prices are getting outrageous, loved the roses
That comforter was a sleeping bag. I have a zip up to chest and the flaps go over the shoulders and snap on either side of zipper.
Thank you 😊! How interesting 🧐
I just love your videos Julie. You have such amazing taste, and can see the potential in everything. There are pieces I cant visually see being used and somehow you make things look so beautiful. I love thrifting but your videos give me so many ideas and make me try to see the potential in every piece.

This is true, Mindy. The Mngr at my local GW says it's just whoever is in the back room sorting and pricing. Exactly like you said!
I love the bunny.I also love your ideal with the clear canisters and fancy tea cups, but I don’t have enough counter space
Thank you 😊
We always enjoy your video!! Lots of good idea's for styling Thank You!!!!
Thank you so much!
Love seeing a video tonight!! You are always so cute and informative!! I think the price in thrift stores has gone up because of all the resellers. They want to make the money that they are feel is going out the door.
Thank you 😊
Resellers are ruining my thrifting joy at my goodwill.
Goodwills wash all items before putting them in any of the stores - here in Va. so I assume all over...that quilt had "urine/??? stains" so bad on the solid back - I would'nt want it if general washing wouldn't get it out...but it was a great color for you...enjoyed the vidoe

Expensive Goodwill!
Hi Julie. Love your videos. I’m not a resale either but I do use Google lens to help me see if I’m paying too much or what it’s worth.
Right. It's not just for resellers. I want to know what's something worth , if it's priced right. And sometimes to identify something I have no idea what it is. Very useful tool. Love it
Thanks for the Tuesday video!!!
I think the wood handle with a blade is for cutting bread.
That is right. And the other part with the knife is a bread cutting tray. The tray catches the crumbs as you slice the bread.
Thank you 😊
Thank you😊
