    Just a nice relaxing local hammock camp, treating myself to some good simple food. Thanks to Gaz (Gaziano Outdoors) for the fried rice inspiration!

    That first lot of food looked lovely.
    Smashing spot, Rich to stay the night!
    The fox calls are one reason I couldn’t take my Parsons Jack. I’d be up all night trying to calm her down and stop her from hunting.
    The muffin brekkie was on point 🤤🤤🤤

      I dunno about Parson’s Jack, but those screams certainly had an effect on my Parson’s Nose Tim. Thanks for watching sir 👍

    Another enjoyable video, thanks for the effort and for sharing it with us. I thought you were going to throw that cup of tea over your shoulder and grab a beer. 👍

    Nice video Rich! It definitely makes the pack lighter with no booze 😁
    Sounds like you had a night with the foxes there, bloody noisy buggers 🤣
    Loving the McDonald's themed breakfast 👊

      Cheers Steve - it was a night full of odd noises to be honest, something I don't normally get (maybe because the booze makes me care less 😅). Thanks for watching mate. Rich 👍

    It's always a treat when one of your videos pop up on my feed. Some top nosh as always (big fan of Gaziano's channel too) but that breakfast bap looked magnificent.
    I had to have a little giggle when you shuffled along the narrow bridge, reminded me of the hunched dance that I do when passing through the pinch posts in my local wood!
    Thanks as always for sharing 👍

      Haha yeah the perils of side pouches eh mate? I must admit, now I've tried making a couple of sausages into a burger before I leave, there's no going back to roly-poly bangers on a camp for me now! Easier to cook and definitely to eat - I'm sick of picking half a sausage off the woodland floor shortly after biting into a breakfast bap 😅. Thanks Barney, I was in two minds about posting this vid as it's just more of the same for me, but I guess that's often what we want from a camp eh? Can't all be a new adventure all the time. Cheers pal. Rich 👍

      Thanks Paul. Yeah, makes me laugh how many wild camping vids have folk having coffee just before bed, then moan ‘I didn’t sleep great’, blaming it on their mat, or the weather 😅. Thanks for watching 👍

    Like an asmr video this mate , this cheered me up no end, been stuck in hospital for 10 days now with encephalitis, them screams are scary so loud like that , thanks for the kind words mate , I'm a huge fan of your channel mate, so relaxing and well filmed. I really appreciate it Rich. Me and my missus make them mackies patties at the weekend , looked spot on mate , take care , all the best 👍

Thanks so much for watching - I hope watching outdoors vids might lift your spirits a bit until you're fit and healthy enough to be back out there making your much loved vids. • @CottonBud
      @CottonBud  Год назад +1

      Thanks Andy - was indeed a very relaxed camp. I've fallen on my feet with that spot, as I can linger around in daylight pretty confident that nobody will stumble across me. I just have to keep reasonably quiet is all - I occasionally hear the odd dog walker on the paths. in the woods. Cheers mate, hope all is good. Rich 👍

    I use the exact same Nalgene container for my hot sauce and Tabasco green concoction I always bring out. Perfect wild camp that, hammock set up looked spot on..and that breakfast 👉👍👉 I had Maccy D's double sausage and egg mcmuffin this morning... yours looked way nicer.

    • @CottonBud
      @CottonBud  Год назад +1

      Yeah very handy those Nalgenes eh Lee - and most importantly, leakproof! I am partial to a Maccers Brekkers but the nuked yolks drive me nuts - no need for it. Bloody nanny state! I tend to think my DDs are comfy but this superlight hammock isn't as comfy as the full Frontline - I struggle to side sleep in it. Given your ''journey' on finding the right hammock I should probably give some others a go some time. Cheers matey. 👍

      @@CottonBud Hammocks 👎 The struggles real Rich, I sold my frontline and underblanket the other day...hates that one, I like the G4Free Hammock, I'm not a fan of my new Onewind though... the jury is still out on that one 🙄

    Them fox noises gave me ptsd 😊. Saying that il take that noise over any human sounds in the woods

    • @CottonBud
      @CottonBud  Год назад +1

      The foxes were very loud and sudden but at least I was fairly confident in identifying them. What was way worse was the heavy breathing/grunting I could hear a bit later on - what the feck that was I really don't know. I tried to record it but it stopped before I got my phone out. It sounded just like a psycho perve on a dirty phone call. I'll take a screaming fox over that any day mate 😱

      @@CottonBud I think I’ve heard that too mate maybe badger. I’ve found that most noises in the dark sound sinister but apart from my first solo camp now I don’t spook at all
