Gotta love some coordinators! My last wedding, they said "move everything up a half hour." Okay. Then, coordinator, photographer, & videographer can not be found during speeches(toasts). Now they are mad at me cause the schedule said to do speeches at 7(I did them at 6:35) I couldn't find them. They were eating in a different area at the venue. The couple was great. They just did a quick reenactment and got back to the party. I got my biggest tip that day!
That Bose L1 Pro is all you need for a wedding! Looks and sounds like money well spent. From what I heard the sub sound like 15's. One of my gripes with my speaker array is that they use 12 inch woofers and they sound like 12's. I really need at least 15's for what I play. So for my next few gigs I am bringing a 15 inch sub in addition to the two arrays. That's more gear and something that probably isn't needed for the L1 Pro 16. Nice job Rick ...
I think the Sub2 sounds like good 15 sub. The Pro16 has the same woofer as the Sub2, but is in a smaller box. Mid bass output is better and tighter but won’t hit as low as a 15 sub or the Sub2. Both the Pro8 and Pro16 bass is very good but the highs aren’t as good. The Pro32 for me solves that issue but not quite as compact having the sub separate.

I have rcf art 945 and 8003 subs for larger events. just want something smaller , already had the rcf j8 and jmix but they were not what I want for small to mid crowds
If you didn't like the j8 you really wont like the bose ones. Lol. Only thing bose has is more bass. But the top highs and mids lack. I would suggest if you like rcf the evox 12s or the ld systems maui 44 g2

Same place you normally have them to face and hit the crowd accordingly. If on a stage you dont need to really raise them up that high. Put subs on ground in front of stage

@@DJRickWeb Once you hear just one of the L1 pro 32 w sub 2, you will be sold. It's ridiculious for the size and weight. I have a bunch of places with no elevators. You wouldn't want to carry the maui 44's up two flights of stairs by yourself. Second Bose L1 and sub 2 will be added in January to go with 3 original Evox 8's, and one Jmix 8 for easy ceremony setups. Work smarter not harder.
Hi and thanks for the video. I am looking for the opportunies to start some gig (wedding, restaurant, and more). I am not sure what to buy in terms of need vs budget so. With 2 Bose L1 pro 16, tell me the biggest event you will do with no worries with them. Exemple of a room or little festival whatever. I am also looking for the Bose L1 pro 32 but SO expensives. If I can be certified that what I can do max with 2 pro L1 16 i will prefet to buy them (i'll be less poor lol). @@DJRickWeb I use two L1 Compacts and it's perfect for a full room of about 150 people. Really loud and thumping. These L1 Pro 16s should be good for you to 250 people in a big room!
I sent a wedding coordinator to hell. the couple had given me their itinerary and on email so it was printed. She didn't have the updates, not my fault. She told me i couldn't the couple's entry and introduction. I told her, "Watch this", lol the couple had just told me they wanted the entry song now. The Maid of Honor and the Best Man were their messengers in my contract with the couple. Means no one else can tell me what to do other than the couple themselves. The coordinator told i wasn't getting paid, i then told her to fuck off because she didn't contract me. She thought i was part of her staff or something. She worked for the venue.. whatever it was i made my flow.. LOL
Same as usually. Audio wasn't connected to the camera to for the ceremony. You didn't show your introductions of the wedding party or B&G. Us DJ's can all make a dance floor happen. Why not show everyone how you introduce a first dance, parents dances, toasts, Cake Cutting...etc? Those are things DJ's can learn from. Some guys but not a lot of use care about your set up. We pretty much have our own set up and use what we use. Then you have 10mins of video of people dancing to songs we all play. And you're just like Bunn to were you're both to lazy to spread your speakers out beyond 10 feet from your booth.
There was no intros for this wedding. Only a first dance. Speakers could really go any wider.... my speakers are always spread out so that argument is invalid. Watch other gig logs where there's like 300 ft of xlr being used to place speakers

Great for 100 or less people. Super loud. Solid bass does get drowned out by people standing in front of it. But all around it can do the job.
