By the way Kim I have surgery on my left side nerve pathways to try and restore the full use of my left arm on Tuesday morning. But when I do my seed purchase for this next season I will be ordering from your site and Gary's site as well. You two are my favorite channels. Your so close to being at the same level of enjoyment for me that I say that their is a tie for the first place gardening channel. I really can't choose who I like the best. I love everything about your channel and I feel the same about his. Between the two of you if you can't grow a garden after watching you and him all season then you just don't have a green thumb lol.
What fun to watch you harvest your bounty of vegetables and berries! My garden is so far behind this year, but I am so grateful for the pineapple, bananas, volunteer cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and kale I am harvesting despite months of neglect on my part.
You rock! I'm a salsa fanatic...my family think I need a 12 step program, but I think I have it under control... Lol. If you dry those peppers out on trays in full sun, they can be reactivated later by removing the stems and seeds, and then sauteing them in avocado oil in a skillet as you would for any dried chile pod, and throwing them in the blender with tomatoes..tomatillos...onions...garlic....cilantro....well, you get the picture.
When you have a huge zucchini, turn them into stuffed zucchini. Cut them length wise and hollow out the middle. Stuff the zucchini with your favorite stuffing mix.
Where i live in the coastal northwest blackberries grow like weeds, they are everyhere and tenancious, very hard to get rid of with big thorns, but they are so tasty, and its fun to go walking the local hills with a big bucket to make jam.
I am happy watching you both being happy,I also have garden and trying to plant as much as I can and do not have to buy any vegetables. I will have many tomatoes this time, they start to be red. I always feel so lucky when I watch videos of gardeners and they say still have time for harvest before winter and I am here, can do gardening all time of the year! Regards from Indonesia for both of you.
Your channel is the most informative out of all the channels that I follow. I am from Australia. Following what and how to plant in the right season. Thank you for all your insight, your information plus your tips and tricks. ❤❤❤❤
Love watching the harvest. We can actually use the leaves of the peppers for clear chicken soup. it smells really good it its a good source of Vitamin A , B and antioxidants as well as capsaicin.
I grew for the first time and by seed an “Early Spring Burpless Hybrid”. I am so thrilled that it turned out. Next year I’ll be growing them on some kind of frame or bamboo stake.
I got 1 zucchini off of 1 plant this year.... it was the size of a softball bat... It was huge!!! at least we can have some zucchini bread... yum! Great tour and harvest Kim!

I had some rodent or bug issues with my tomatoes on the first batch in summer but the second round in October did not have the problem and I picked them off when they were green before something got them. My husky cherry tomatoes were so sweet and Romas were good. They had to ripen off vine. My cabbage had cabbage worm but I got 2 edible heads. My squash was just perfect. My kale and turnip greens were good. My bell peppers were small it may have been the variety I chose and I did have a problem with the hornworms too. I tried to treat with Neem oil. I enjoyed eating my first harvest. I’m a new gardener.
zucchini steaks are awesome! I love this video, it just kept going! I love doing my veggies on the grill too - in australia we have lots of public bbqs at the beach or in parks, it's so beautiful come summer.
Awesome harvest 🙌🌶🍅🥒 I have you to thank regarding learning about the jimmy nardello peppers 🌶 they’re amazing. I really like the sweet flavour. Here in Canada we have approximately a month left till we have fall frost. Hoping to get enough ripe tomatoes for making tomato soup and salsa. It might seem crazy but I have already been checking out new pepper varieties I hope to try next year 😊💚

Here in central AZ we are harvesting cantaloupe, tomatoes, peppers, edamame, several varieties of squash, eggplant, okra, sunflowers (for the birds) and lots of fresh herbs. Your video makes me want to try cukes and berries too. Thanks for the videos. Always educational.
I'm new to your videos and gardening actually. When you were working on your cucumbers you had a cool trelice looking thing. What is that? where did you buy it?
I'm new to gardening and this will be the first time I will trim back the berry plants for winter. Wondering how to take care of it over the winter? Your enthusiasm for gardening is contagious. Love it!
I do admire you for your dedication and thanks to your efforts you have a beautiful garden . My only question is when ( season ) is the time to plant each vegetable. Thanks and bless you. I forgot to mention, I live in Sydney -Australia.
I am with Gerry- those chilies growing upwards are a BIG SIGN of extreme heat so beware !!! May I ask how long does it take your Californian Wonders to turn red- mine seem to take ages & I am sub-tropical Australia. Wow I have a volunteer cucumber this year too :) My Black Beauty Eggplant is amazing - the fruit is just massive this year. We are still in winter , actually coming to the end , temps here in Brisbane Australia have been around 24 to 26C so very mild Winter which makes me think EXTREME SUMMER. Cheers Denise- Australia

Your harvest looks beautiful and delicious! Worms got my beautiful yellow scallop squash. I only had one that reached maturity, but it had lots of little worm holes in it. I was so disappointed to see that this morning. It’s my first time growing them. The green and white scallop Squash haven’t produced anything yet. WOW!!! Look at that vertical zucchini!!! I wish I had that. I grew a few large zucchini this season and they was so delicious. My squash was delicious, too!
You are close to needing a truck in order to harvest (like Cliff). ;-) What an outstanding harvest, absolutely incredible! I just loved strolling through the garden with you! What a treat! I could sence CG became hungry while filming. :-D I hope the pesky critters are disappointed when visiting the garden tonight, now all the goodies are gone! So glad you were able to harvest most for yourself.
The blackberries were awesome looking. Good harvest. I had too many ants and it was so hot and humid in Fla. What grew best was the baby eggplant and two tomato plants and sweet peppers and cubanells. No cucumbers, last year I had tons. The ants in the soil and squirrels kill the rest😥
Hi Kim! Love watching your videos. I haven't started gardening yet but I just placed my first order with you! 😀I'm in south Florida (zone 10b) so I can start at any time. Hope to start with your seeds and go from there! 🤩

Sugar rush peach take FOREVER to ripen. Your harvesting prematurely, they go from lime to bright yellow to yellow to peach. If you wait it out till it turns peach the flavors are super intense!! Sweet heat!! These are some of my favorite peppers to grow the red ones and striped are delicious as well. Let them ripen you will not be dissapointed I promise you! Your garden looks great 👍🏾
Beautiful bounty! Someone else may have already mentioned this... but sugar rush peach peppers will actually turn a pretty peach color when ripe. They stay at that yellow for a looonnnggg time though so patience is needed! And also they are sweet and fruity, but HOT! Mine also over wintered wonderfully and are producing like crazy this year 😁.

Thank you for this video. It's encouraging that you stay upbeat and joyful in spite of critter problems. It helps to know that experienced gardeners like you have the same problems, but remain appreciative of your bounty. As a last resort, we invested in a full raised bed cage as a defense against squirrels. It's been the only effective method. Are these kind of pests a new development for you? Is it a result of lack of rain/alternative water source?

Sugar Rush Peach are sweet and hot but are not ripe until they turn creamy orange. So fare, no problems with mice, rats, or tree rats, but I did have a bit of a problem with a couple voles a few weks back. My mother's cat got the first vole, my cat got the second. My biggest problems have been grubs, beetles, and horned worms. Yesterday, I did my last bean harvest from my Dragon Tongue Beans and Tongues of Fire beans, and harvested enough for 11 meals for two. The plants have been dropped, chopped up, and mixed into the soil--worm food, and the raised had has been replanted with a mix of Dragon Tongue, Tongues of Fire, and Cantare beans. Tomorrow, I will be harvesting Golden Sweet beans, Blue Lake bush beans, and a few pole beans that are ready. I'm harvesting cucumbers, but not as much as I hoped for, so I planted seeds for 6 Muncher cucumbers a few days ago-5 have started sprouting. I'm still waiting on peppers and tomatoes, and expect to get my first harvest of tomatoes in two or three weeks.
My Kellogg’s breakfast seem to ripen on one side. The first one was rotten inside. The celebrity, carbon and cherry tomatoes are doing fantastic. So my search for a good yellow tomato will continue next year
Hello Betty, hmmm, haven't had that issue with KB, sometimes things grow differently in different climates. Golden Jubilee is also one of my favorites, a gorgeous yellow tomato, amazing flavor. When you have a huge zucchini, turn them into stuffed zucchini. Cut them length wise and hollow out the middle. Stuff the zucchini with your favorite stuffing mix.
Finally getting caught up on my videos! What a gorgeous harvest, and I also just love the dynamic you two have on these tours. Thank you for sharing!
I love your videos💚, but those japanese cucumber is overripe. The perfect one to harvest is at 6:57 on this video.
Hello how are you doing my friend
lovely harvest
I planted jimmy nardellos this year per your recs and I love them so much so thank you!
I got 1 zucchini off of 1 plant this year.... it was the size of a softball bat... It was huge!!! at least we can have some zucchini bread... yum! Great tour and harvest Kim!
I love the different sections you can sit anywhere
Glad you enjoyed the harvest, Bevon. Growing your own veggies is so rewarding, and the taste is out of this world! Thanks for watching!

Every time you talk about tomatoes I want to eat them
I am allergic to them
I love how you do everything around your garden
When you are the melon I thought to myself wish I can taste it
I am also allergic
Did you design the back or you met it like that
It is an inspiring back
Each section tells a story
Enjoy
I love watching your harvest videos and camera guy does such a great job it allows you to concentrate on the garden

Love your garden. What type of liner is used on your strawberry crates. Awesome idea, thank you
Hi Naomi
I love these longer videos ! Great harvest ! 😋
Do you have seeds for your Blackberry bushes and the sunflower forest? I need to go look!
Hi
It might seem crazy but I have already been checking out new pepper varieties I hope to try next year 😊💚
Hi Amanda
I love tomatoes on my grilled cheese sandwiches! 🤗
The best, Vee! We have them every week during the summer. Appreciate you stopping by for our harvest!

Amazing harvest!!
Hi Vivian
So Great and Grateful for you guys! These videos are so inspirational and encouraging especially during these crazy times! Thank You!
Hello Susan
I'm new to gardening and this will be the first time I will trim back the berry plants for winter. Wondering how to take care of it over the winter? Your enthusiasm for gardening is contagious. Love it!
I'm coming to your house for dinner! LOL I love seeing you harvest all the goodies :) Good advice along the way as well.!
fluffy tail! looks like my dog except for the tail. just wonderful.
I do admire you for your dedication and thanks to your efforts you have a beautiful garden . My only question is when ( season ) is the time to plant each vegetable. Thanks and bless you. I forgot to mention, I live in Sydney -Australia.
Here in Canada we only get 3 months lol. We plant on May 24 and we get frost in Oct lol
Nice to see you again guys.god bless stay safe
Hi how are you doing my friend
That vertical zucchini!!! Loved this longer format video. So peaceful and relaxing to watch. 👍🏼👍🏼
beautiful share its great to see well maintained garden hard work you did
harvesting is so relaxing
Aunt Ruby's are my favorite tomatoes. I've been growing them for the last 3 or 4 years.
Favorite gardening youtuber keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You can leave those sugar rush peach ones a tad longer! They’ll literally be a more peach color. They’re more sugar-y when you leave them a tad longer (I know you were clipping for the critters)
Hi Chrissy, I was surprised when I bit into one and it was hot! So glad you mentioned this, very helpful as it's my first time growing them. I"ll wait before I harvest the next bunch. Thanks for watching!

Yes for chives being a favorite so easy to grow and I'm might be the only one but try chives in a olmomet
Amazing Information about home gardening. Selection of the best ready to consume. Thanks.
My cherry tomatoes are good. I gave them and my tomatoe plant the fertilizer that you had suggested. I'm hoping that they come back.
Beautiful garden ❤
Hello nice video wow cucumber you will enjoy eating that fresh cucumber. Our UK weather is worse raining and getting cold stay connected 😍
Hi Kim! Love watching your videos. I haven't started gardening yet but I just placed my first order with you! 😀I'm in south Florida (zone 10b) so I can start at any time. Hope to start with your seeds and go from there! 🤩
Hello Nancy
A quick tip to help with birds normally they are getting to the fruit for the juice because they are thirsty.. if you put a couple of bird baths out and keep them with fresh water they tend to leave your fruit alone ... thanks for the vido loved it
Great tip, Julia - thank you. Glad you enjoyed the harvest, thanks for stopping by!

In my yard we got wild sweet pea and wild blackberrys they took over the entire garden
Here in Texas the critters just chew right throw the net bags .
Lost three of my Woods famous Brimmers to pest . I didn't get even one of them .
That cucumber is very standard in my country and we love it pickled!
You could use a "volunteer" cat. LOL Your garden is amazing! It's always fun to watch you harvest
Hi Lila, we do get an occasional neighborhood cat stopping by, lol. So glad you enjoyed the garden - appreciate the visit!

Your garden looks great 👍🏾
Put out shelled peanuts like a huge bowl off away from ur plants!! Keep it filled and your plants won't be touched!!

My cats help me out with the critters!😆
Thank you for this video. It's encouraging that you stay upbeat and joyful in spite of critter problems. It helps to know that experienced gardeners like you have the same problems, but remain appreciative of your bounty. As a last resort, we invested in a full raised bed cage as a defense against squirrels. It's been the only effective method.
Are these kind of pests a new development for you? Is it a result of lack of rain/alternative water source?
Hi Ken, glad you enjoyed it! We like to keep it real, everyone has issues of some kind, no garden is perfect. :) We've always had rodent issues, but they seem to be worse this year, they're getting smarter as the usual methods aren't working. I'm sure water is an issue too. Thanks for watching!

Enjoyed watching this video! Everything looks wonderful! I just bought a blackberry bush, can't wait! If you do canning of some vegetables, I would be interested in your recipes...do the cookbook!

I think those peppers are called sweet heat.. I grow them and it looks exactly like mine
Thanks CaliKim for the watermelon seeds. I had couple small personal watermelon but don’t know how can I tell it’s ready for harvest. Thanks!
Please send me some vegetables. They look great. Fantastic work. Enjoy it
Oh my Kim those blackberries are beautiful. I make a cobbler out of them in my cast iron Dutch oven over a open flame just like the old trail cooks use to. Ive been told that it is so good it will make your tongue want to slap your brains out. Lol.
Please do a follow up with your young friend that you helped her plant up her second story apartment with plants. Hope she is doing well with her harvest. Follow ups are nice to do.
Hi Kia, we haven't had a chance to do a follow up vid with Jessie, but her garden is doing great! She's harvesting from it daily and loving it. Thanks for asking!

All that hard work robbed by critters, what a bummer. I would love to see game camera footage of the little devils in action just to see what is getting your garden. My nemesis here are groundhogs. Your garden is beautiful as always. Lots of dedication.
What variety berries are those? I have a wall of berries hitting right now in Ohio. I strung them up on a cattle panel and trimmed them the right way last year to create extra branches. I make jam and my favorite, a Blackberry / Cherry pie. yum
I like the cloth fabric fruit bags, keeps them hidden.
I am harvesting tomatoes basil sunflowers getting them cut and I I’m purving some Zanias flowers getting the seas and just letting them sprinkle I’m getting Xenia‘s now coming on I’m watching my watermelon and my okra and my tiny time is it getting blooms and I’m waiting for my jubilee tomatoes to get blooms cantaloupes cucumbers waiting for them to play get cucumbers does Harvin same thing having some fun Oklahoma summer runs real bit long but thank you for the video Kim and hi Jerry you did great

Just WOW! Everything looks amazing Kim!
Sugar Rush Peach are sweet and hot but are not ripe until they turn creamy orange. I had to harvest mine yellow and leave them on the kitchen floor until they turned because they took a long time and it was going to freeze. Wait for that creamy orange color and you won't be sorry. Sweet and Hot. Yum.
I'm none stop battling squirrels here in Florida. My dog guards the container plants from the windows and lets me know when they're up to no good outside.
So frustrating - you’ve got a good doggie there! Thx for stopping by!

Would love to see a video of how to prune back my peppers for here in Cali,, so that I can try and over winter my plants. They have been good producers and would like to try that this year. Or maybe you already have one, I'm not sure. Thank you!
Hi Amy, it's the way to go for peppers, esp here in Cali, here's a link to a video I did a few years back: bit.ly/CaliKimPepperBoost. Good luck with your peppers and thanks for watching!

@@CaliKim29 thank you very much!!!
Beautiful gardening
Have a pesky squirrel here that tends to sneak into the garden space to dig into containers and hides last season's walnuts from the neighboring property. Seems rather like you need develop some chicken wire cages attached to the ground to challenge your critter problem Kim! How did CameraGuy enjoy the kick from those Sugar Rush Peach pods? The pods could be a nice ingredient to a small batch fermented hot sauce too. So surprising the volume of quality food that may be raised in a small area garden. Happy Gardening! -Bob...
Hi Bob, those darn squirrels are an issue for everyone it seems. Good idea on the wire cages. I was actually surprised to find that the Sugar Rush peppers were spicy, lol. Another viewer suggested leaving them on longer to change color for better flavor. We're still eating our harvest - more grilled peppers tonight, just had some avacado toast with tomato, cukes and herbs, so good. Bringing cukes to the neighbors today. Hope your garden is doing well - have a great Sunday!

@@CaliKim29 I kind of chuckled to myself when I saw the mention of the Sugar Rush Peach. But as with all the Hots and Super Hots, unless one be a complete Chilli Head, moderation for flavoring may be far more enjoyable over the gut butt burn combo that could arise. Happy Gardening! -Bob...
Fabulous harvest! thanks for sharing!
My first sunflower bloomed the other day, not even an hour passed and a squirrel had plucked the head and ate half of it on the fence!
So frustrating! I actually plant extra sunflowers.for the squirrels in hopes that they will eat them instead of my tomatoes. Hope you get more blooms! Thanks for stopping by!

Great beautiful garden
when my tomato plant looks like that its deer's. If you have a low fence they can jump over them. I put up netting fence some eight foot tall. The plants have not been touched . No horn worms yet, knock on wood
Hi Jan - deer can really destroy your garden, glad that you’ve got it protected with a good fence. No deer in our area - I think it’s a squirrel, saw two in that area after we filmed. Good luck with the deer, thx for watching!

I know you love scarlet runner beans, but how do you prepare them? Eat like green beans? Dry them out?
wow wish i have also a garden like this😍
My Kellogg’s breakfast seem to ripen on one side.
If you're on the hunt for seeds, this beauty is in several CaliKim Seed Collections, Tomato, Salsa & Spring Garden. Thanks for stopping by!

How do you keep Mac away from the peppers? All three of my dogs pull them right off the plants. They leave the ghost peppers alone, but everything else is fair game.
Congrats on the harvest!
I feel my harvest is below average this year.
I blame it on the unprecedented heat. But, it might be user error.
Kim, it's been a crazy summer with the weather, hang in there, some years are better than others. Thanks for the congrats!
