This Will Destroy The Value Of My Porsche GT3!

  • This is my Porsche GT3 first major service and after I'm aiming to take it to 100,000 miles - of which I'm certain will destroy the value of the car! But I don't really mind - this Porsche is here to stay and I'll share all significant moment with you along the way...
The 991 GT3 is fitted with a now iconic motorsport developed 500hp 4.0L flat six cylinder engine that revs to 9,000rpm! This car is a manual GT3 which actually makes it a little lighter than the PDK version and, for me at least, makes it more engaging at road speeds.
Let the road to 100,000 miles begin!

@@spacewombat4569 oh I won't debate that. Adding miles to your car is always a great way to tank it's value regardless of brand. I just was expected something else given the title of the video, the car on a lift in the thumbnail, and knowing he's been saying for many many videos already that he plans to drive the car long-term and have it be a high mileage vehicle. Saying "this will destroy the value of my GT3!" in your video title implies heavily that something actually happened to it, hence clickbait. I mean, it worked though. I clicked it and watched the whole thing waiting for the thing that would "destroy his GT3's value" but hey, I watch all his videos regardless lol

@@MrJWW oh no I don't disagree, I've got a Mk7 GTI I plan to drive into the ground. It's a 2015 with 93k miles on it so I'm real comfy with knowing the value hit it's taking given I'm treating it the same way you're treating this GT3 haha. I always watch your videos and know you always say you want to keep this car long-term and put a whole bunch of miles on it from your previous GT3 videos so when I saw this title on the video I assumed, as I think many others did, that something happened to it mechanically or otherwise that destroyed the vehicle value. I spent the whole video wondering what it was until it ended and I realized it was just the mileage to the vehicle, so kinda felt it was pretty clickbaity given that. But it's all good my dude I love your videos and enjoy all the vehicle content. I know it's a tough time to be making content at all so I'm not in any place to criticize the content, I just got pretty thrown off by the title choice in context lol

Wish they had this much attention to detail at most US dealers. The folks in Germany would be disgusted at how few people care about their work. Enthusiast shops are pretty much the norm for us.

Gee would have loved to known why there was a inner CV boot fail with such low mileage. Cost would have been steep too.

I hope my Porsche dealership in Barcelona was not 100% like this but at least just a fraction of how good this one is. Last big service, they didn't even check the tyre pressures and they didn't open the front bonet as the hydraulic holds are losing pressure and it falls down.

Sergi A , luckily I had it checked over at an independent Porsche specialist (because I wasn't happy with the service Porsche provided) and they identified the problem. Porsche Colchester admitted fault, but obviously this is beyond words for the level of incompetence.

A drive shaft gaiter splitting at 23,000 miles is surely not too good...a very short life compared to the same thing on any van! 😳
