Tbf I get annoyed when they make clones as I’m an enthusiast but I understand why some parks do it, it isn’t bad to get annoyed about it as long as you understand that they aren’t catered to enthusiasts. For example I was disappointed about the silverwood rmc raptor as it will be the 5th clone of that model but I get that it was a good move in terms of revenue for the park so I don’t blame them
Markus Freestyle Entitled enthusiasts are usually the loudest complainers I can’t fault you for this opinion. I’m talking about the ones who complain about B&M break runs and say color schemes ruin ride experiences lol.
h2oLikeMisery when u say b&m break runs, are u talking about the midcourse ones or the end ones? Cuz the end ones don’t and the midcourse ones generally don’t but could see why they may worsen the ride experience
Markus Freestyle I’ve literally seen enthusiasts complain the final break runs on B&Ms are too high and long and look ugly. (Even though there’s a good reason as to why) lol
Exactly what I was thinking, and love it. LOL. I remember Mind Eraser back in the Geauga Lake days. I appreciate hidden gems like this, and mind erasing rides like the Mind Eraser
Lying Dog Faced Pony Soldier agreed it was actually one of my favorite rides back then. Vertical lifts on a suspended shuttle coaster is such a weird feeling.
Still bitter that Magic Mountain removed Deja Vu and replaced it with nothing. Absolutely love that ride, especially a back row outside seat ride. The first drop and fly through the station were so intense.
Massive structure, loud lift motors and noisy mechanics on theses made the thrill for me. And the "train is more heavy than you." moment during the falls.
Goliath was such a good experience when it ran with the Vekoma trains back when they first installed it at SFNE, I just wish it still ran with those trains
I was blessed to work at SFOG in 2005 and 2006 when Deja Vu was runninng with very little flaws. When I took my lunch break, I would head straight to the VU to get a ride in. There was nothing like that vertical drop from Tower 1 in the back row.
Im from Madrid Spain and i rode Stunt fall like 100 times. It is 1 of the BEST roller coasters on Spain by far and we have portaventura that have really good coasters, trust me
I got to ride this when it was at Six flags over GA. I waited for 2 hours and it was amazing. The ride was always broken down when I went so I only ever got to ride it once, sadly. But definitely underrated. I got to ride front row and I can say years later I still remember being terrified staring straight down at the ground being pulled up. Crazy
Vekoma is really stepping up there game. This used to be the best model they've done but now the Vekoma Bermuda blitz model is considered the best. Both look insane and fun ride experiences.
I’ve only been on Goliath, I didn’t think it was very rough, but it is THE scariest coaster I’ve been on. I unfortunately don’t tend to enjoy going backwards on any coaster.
Funniest thing I ever heard was someone saying riding goliath at new england is the equivalent of being locked in a metal trashcan and thrown down a 200 foot flight of stairs LOL i love them tho, so intense
I have only riden Goliath at SFNE and after they did a refurbishment in Summer of 2018 Goliath is way smoother and has a lot less downtime. I absolutely love that GIB and my friends think I am absolutely insane for how much I love it!
I rode invertigo at Kings Island and it was up there. I'm not the enthusiast of clone coasters but going backwards on the ride is definitely a great feeling!
It’s kind of weird thinking about how Silverwood’s one-two punch will soon be made up of two clones, but it’ll ACTUALLY BE GOOD!!! Thanks for making yet another awesome review Tay-Tay! Edit: Sorry for calling you that, but Sarah got to say it in the POV video, so I should too
Nothing better than a fun clone. Its a good add for parks that dont have a lot of money, they look good, and theyre super fun. Aftershock looks so much more intense surrounded by forest and woodies.
I was one of the first to ride aftershock the day it opened at Silverwood and it was phenomenal! So much fun! I was in an end seat. I hope to go back to Silverwood one day
Aftershock was Deja Vu at Six Flags Great America, but it had the worst down time imaginable. I’m glad it is able to function at its new home so everyone can enjoy it
I only ever got on Deja Vu at Magic Mountain one time, and I remember enjoying it. It's insane that Six Flags took it out of the park. That space is still just empty, it bums me out to go over there and see a vacant piece of land where we could still have Deja Vu but for no reason whatsoever we don't.
In 2011 I rode Deja Vu at Magic Mountain and I have such a good memory of this ride. I was only 13 and I'm from France where (sadly) we don't have a ton of great coasters, so it was definitely one of the most intense coaster I had ever ridden (definitely prepared me for Tatsu) and I remember how smooth and fun it was. I was sad to see they moved it and replaced the trains, which apparently ruins the experience. I'm dying to ride one of those again!
I went to SFNE last year because I was in the state for family stuff, and Goliath is the only coaster at the park I didn’t ride. It didn’t open until several hours after the park did and by that point I had ridden every other coaster, and after doing that, especially due to the SLC, my whole body was just in pain and I decided for my own health riding even just one more ride was a very bad idea.
We need more coasters parody videos imo those and dumb go quotes are your best and most entertaining and its what makes coaster studios coaster studios or at least make a video saying why a coaster parody hasn't been posted in forever
I've only done Goliath at Six Flags New England and it had some big potholes right before the second spike. It hurt my back pretty bad. But the first vertical drop, WOW!
What trains were on Goliath when it was at Magic mountain? I’m pretty sure that’s magic mountains deja vu. Rode it a bunch when I was a kid and it was definitely on the rougher side.
So Kentucky Kingdom is my home park. Here’s my idea... remove T3, add this giant Vekoma Boomerang in its place and name that T4 AND add the raptor. That will provide my home park with a very strong coaster lineup (even though I already like the lineup we have). Sidenote: I rode Mr. Freeze for the first time this year at SFSTL and it blew me away!!
The Deja Vu that SFOG was sent to Brazil after it was torn apart and was never built cuz it was in storage for a long time. It should’ve gotten sent back to that park if SF decided to retrieve the parts and bring it back and learn how to maintain it the right way by looking how Aftershock is operating. It’s been sitting in storage for long time
I can't wait to eventually make the drive up to Silverwood to ride Aftershock (probably next summer when Stunt Pilot is open). I have only done one GIB "technically", but I did ride Deja Vu at SFMM and rode it as Goliath at SFNE, and it was so much better at Magic Mountain with the OG trains. I definitely miss it!
DejaVu now Goliath is kinda always down for maintenance at SFNE, and like 2 years ago it was down like the whole year. I never realized the trains were different. Still an awesome ride and intense even if the trains are rough. :)
Fun fact, this coaster was Boomerang at Six Flags, Magic Mountain, and Six Flags sold it like 7 years ago because it was usually broken down around 70% of the time. That said, we were ALL PISSED when they sold it because broken down be damned, the ride was fun as hell.
I've gone to cedar point but even after riding all of those rides, aftershock at silverwood is easily in my top 3. Straight up your sense of balance is destroyed for a good few minutes after getting off this coaster. Nothing at cedar point did that to me. There's no mountains near silverwood though, those are just hills. Silverwood is pretty far from the cascades or the main peaks of the rockies.
i've been on aftershock though i found it kinda rough i still enjoyed it for what it is and it was really fun and it became my number 2 at Silverwood after Timber Terror because it has some good airtime
Yeah I love these, well at least Goliath @ SFNE the only one I've been on, but it was one of my favs there! You said it, for those who love intense rides...this one is insane. It is pretty rough/jarring so that kind of sucks but I do really like the ride...and if that's the worst of em I guess I need to get to Silverwood!
Stuntfall in Parque Warner Madrid was actually supposed to go to my home park (it was owned by Six Flags at the time), but because of the problems they had with Goliath (Déjà Vu ath the time), they swapped their order with the regular boomerang meant for Madrid. Talk about a downgrade
I'm actually shocked by your review score...but not that I disagree in any way. SFGAm is my homepark so Aftershock is something I look very forward to riding one day since it used to be one of my favorite coasters in my homepark and just overall. I'm not surprised you liked it but by how much you did. I'm glad you could appreciate it. I wish SFGAm had been able to operate it more and that the capacity wasn't so bad that it wasn't a good fit for a park with high attendance/large crowds. The line could regularly be two and a half hours for it despite being a fairly small queue. I don't know how well it runs at Silverwood but when it was known as Deja Vu at SFGAm, it cycled every 4-5 minutes. This led to obvious horrible capacity.
Didn't get to ride this when I went to Silverwood earlier this year because it was closed the day we went. I understand that these have some maintenance issues and a bit of a troubled history.
I like the actual ride, but I always had a long wait for it at Six Flags Great America and it was down a lot due to heat/magnets. So that made it from a 10 down to more of a 7.
Taylor can sleep well tonight Mr. Vekoma is happy.
People who complain about clones always make me laugh. The coaster industry isn’t catered to enthusiasts but they never seem to grasp that.
Tbf I get annoyed when they make clones as I’m an enthusiast but I understand why some parks do it, it isn’t bad to get annoyed about it as long as you understand that they aren’t catered to enthusiasts. Markus Freestyle I’ve literally seen enthusiasts complain the final break runs on B&Ms are too high and long and look ugly. (Even though there’s a good reason as to why) lol
h2oLikeMisery yeah long end brake runs really aren’t a big deal.
Taylor: “I have the same philosophy with these as I do the raptors, put em everywhere”
Silverwood: Say less.
Lol
raptor clone: check
double boomerang clone: check
two great rides: check
Just gotta leave my zoom class to watch this for a minute, no rush...
when a boomerang gets a 10.
LOVED it at Magic Mountain...when it was open which was unfortunately somewhat spotty sometimes..
Taylor finally giving Mr. Vekoma a reason NOT to throw him in the trash can.
LMFAO
I didn't realise they were THAT tall! Jeez, I might have to fly out to Spain now as well as Germany XD
Well they are “giant.”
@@roxynano 😂
Taylor: compares GIBs to regular boomerangs and Mr. Freeze clones.
Invertigos: am I a joke to you?
Invertigo at King's Island is so freaking fun, I can only imagine what Deja Vu was like
5:02 Hey Mr. Vekoma, look what Taylor said about your ride!!!
Still bitter that Magic Mountain removed Deja Vu and replaced it with nothing.
Absolutely love that ride, especially a back row outside seat ride. The first drop and fly through the station were so intense.
That seat was intense!!! I’m still upset Magic Mountain removed Deja Vu also. This ride was so unique when it first opened up back in 2001.
Same
Massive structure, loud lift motors and noisy mechanics on theses made the thrill for me.
And the "train is more heavy than you." moment during the falls.
Goliath was such a good experience when it ran with the Vekoma trains back when they first installed it at SFNE, I just wish it still ran with those trains
And now it's scrapped. 😥
I was blessed to work at SFOG in 2005 and 2006 when Deja Vu was runninng with very little flaws. When I took my lunch break, I would head straight to the VU to get a ride in. There was nothing like that vertical drop from Tower 1 in the back row.
You get an inverted boomerang,
You get an inverted boomerang,
And you get an inverted boomerang! Everyone gets an inverted boomerang!
If only
Except you Great Adventure
@@TheCycloneHunter No nonononono! Trust me, it's a good thing!
As long as it’s not an invertigo 😬
@Twisted Coaster Fan yea in this case it's a bad thing
Im from Madrid Spain and i rode Stunt fall like 100 times. It is 1 of the BEST roller coasters on Spain by far and we have portaventura that have really good coasters, trust me
I looooooove stunt fall, I always thought it is the best model vekoma has ever created
Crazy
Give us a dumb gp quotes video! Also this is an interesting review video cuz it’s not just one coaster
Nah those videos make enthusiasts seem arrogant
Vekoma is really stepping up there game. This used to be the best model they've done but now the Vekoma Bermuda blitz model is considered the best. Both look insane and fun ride experiences.
When I went to magic mountain this ride scared me more than x2 did lol
Mr vekoma is gonna be very happy you actually like one of his products.
I’ve only been on Goliath, I didn’t think it was very rough, but it is THE scariest coaster I’ve been on. I unfortunately don’t tend to enjoy going backwards on any coaster.
Y'all making me look at flights to Spokane, goddamn
Funniest thing I ever heard was someone saying riding goliath at new england is the equivalent of being locked in a metal trashcan and thrown down a 200 foot flight of stairs LOL i love them tho, so intense
That’s a bit dramatic
I have only riden Goliath at SFNE and after they did a refurbishment in Summer of 2018 Goliath is way smoother and has a lot less downtime. I absolutely love that GIB and my friends think I am absolutely insane for how much I love it!
I rode invertigo at Kings Island and it was up there. I'm not the enthusiast of clone coasters but going backwards on the ride is definitely a great feeling!
Got one ride on this when it was deja vu at SFGA. Waited in line 2.5 hrs. Totally worth it. Great ride
It’s kind of weird thinking about how Silverwood’s one-two punch will soon be made up of two clones, but it’ll ACTUALLY BE GOOD!!! Thanks for making yet another awesome review Tay-Tay!
Edit: Sorry for calling you that, but Sarah got to say it in the POV video, so I should too
Not even Sarah is allowed to call me that! She just does it anyways cause she knows it annoys me lol.
So, yes, please do not call me that.
Coaster Studios
I hear ya loud and clear
I wish Kings Island had one of these instead of Invertigo😔
Kings Island has invertigo
angelica222221 yeah I mistyped😭I meant instead of
Imagine that 200 foot tall mass of steel right at the front of the park the way Invertigo is. That would be an intimidating greeting.
Yes that would be awesome but we dont need it. We already have Banshee.
Mikey Forschner with that logic you don’t need invertigo either
ALL HAIL THE GIB
SFOG used to have one that’s now located in Brazil (it’s in storage though).
Nothing better than a fun clone. Its a good add for parks that dont have a lot of money, they look good, and theyre super fun. Aftershock looks so much more intense surrounded by forest and woodies.
Gotta make it out to Silverwood someday! They only have a few coasters, but they all look fantastic!
Silverwood is awesome!!
5:17 Mr Vekoma fell out of his chair. Great Video I watch you everyday.
I was one of the first to ride aftershock the day it opened at Silverwood and it was phenomenal! So much fun! I was in an end seat. I hope to go back to Silverwood one day
It is 100% the best cloned coaster in the world. Was my favorite ride at Six Flags Great America during its time there.
This is my all time favorite 😍💙💚 I’m literally so hyped it’s finally getting attention and the love it deserves 😍
Aftershock was Deja Vu at Six Flags Great America, but it had the worst down time imaginable. I’m glad it is able to function at its new home so everyone can enjoy it
Nice job Taylor! Keep up the good work!
i literally live 2 hrs away from silverwood, and get to ride aftershock all summer! it is my favorite ride there too!

Love the end seats on Aftershock especially in the back row. Favorite coaster at Silverwood though I haven’t ridden Stunt Pilot yet
This looks amazing. This is one of my bucket list coasters
Though Vekoma is a Dutch manufacturer, we have no (giant) inverted boomerang in the Netherlands!
I love the color scheme. Vekoma used the same one on x-flight at six flags Ohio before it became Firehawk.
Six Flags Great America is my home park. Dejavu was ALWAYS closed, but was able to ride it a good 20 times. Man I miss it
This was an amazing ride. I miss having this at SFMM.
I went to SFNE last year because I was in the state for family stuff, and Goliath is the only coaster at the park I didn’t ride. The nice thing about cloned coasters is more people can have a chance to experience the type of ride, like with the raptors as mentioned.
We need more coasters parody videos imo those and dumb go quotes are your best and most entertaining and its what makes coaster studios coaster studios or at least make a video saying why a coaster parody hasn't been posted in forever
It’s in my top 25! LOVE it. Wish it was still around at my home park SFGAm though...
I've only done Goliath at Six Flags New England and it had some big potholes right before the second spike. It hurt my back pretty bad. But the first vertical drop, WOW!
FINALLY MY FAVORITE RIDE GETS A VIDEO 😍💙💚
I have music highlights and I did "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" for Goliath and "In the Shape of a Heart" for your post of Aftershock
Can't wait to ride this thing this Saturday! Between this, Tremors, and Timber Terror going backwards I expect to have a good day.
What trains were on Goliath when it was at Magic mountain? I’m pretty sure that’s magic mountains deja vu. Rode it a bunch when I was a kid and it was definitely on the rougher side.
It is Deja Vu, literally.

No, boomerang coasters suck
@@mathew_mount I’ve heard good things about the one at Silverwood. That’s the example I was referencing.

Agree, Aftershock is amazing!
I've only done Goliath, and it was trash. Hopefully I can get to Silverwood someday to ride Aftershock
I went on aftershock and wow I was terrified the first time wholly hell, but after that is was awesomely fun
I miss the old trains on Goliath.

1:02 I’m mostly going to be ignoring Goliath at s3x flags new england” 😂
Ive only done Goliath and thought they all sucked but im glad to hear the others are better :)
A revamped version of this ride would be great. New track, a few new elements, more reliable
Unlikely that we'll see these everywhere, since these are maintenance nightmares, and Idk if Vekoma supports these models anymore.
Apparently a new one is being built in Mirabilandia
I rode Deja Vu when it was still at Magic Mountain. That sh** was scary as hell.
might have to go to Idaho to try this
Stuntfall is pretty good. Quite smooth
Vekoma we need some modern versions of this!
The one at New England used to be smooth and its down alot plus they have a boomerang right next to it
Didn't get to ride this when I went to Silverwood earlier this year because it was closed the day we went. I understand that these have some maintenance issues and a bit of a troubled history.
Magic Mountain should have fixed and kept theirs.
Well, this is pretty nicely timed for the Russian Grand Prix weekend, where one of these rides can be seen looking down the Start Finish straight!
I love Aftershock. It is so fast.
I like the actual ride, but I always had a long wait for it at Six Flags Great America and it was down a lot due to heat/magnets. So that made it from a 10 down to more of a 7.
