Young Brian with that muckle drum, surveying all around himself as he thumps it with vigour! If I'd had a lad all those years ago, he'd have been my choice of a well turned out musician. And the other boys, well what can an old West Highlander say....................wow! Sheer bloody brilliant! I met Rory walking the Monk's Road in the Pentland hills in the late 1980's! We all passed the time of day discussing the weather and general chit-chat. As we left, my husband said,"Do you know who that was?" I was an ardent Run-rig fan, and replied, "Yes, it was Rory MacDonald from the band", to which he said, you never even thanked him for the hours of pleasure that Run-rig gives you? I said that the poor man had to have people treat him with respect on his time spent with his family, and it would have been bad manners if I had prattled on and embarassed him, duting a day out happily enjoying the world! ............................old Tich. Thanks Run-rig!
I never in my life thought I would ever see a band on stage playing the music of my people. In my day we only spoke the Gaelic when we were together and as long as an English speaker was not near us. Cannon nan Gael
Malcolm....can play every instrument ever invented (absolute legend); Ian....enjoying the marching band days again (your rudiments are stunning!), Calum...good to see the original drummer back, and Rory...so does "Horo!" actually mean "DRUMS!!!" What a brilliant video - thanks so much for uploading, mate! (I LOVE Runrig - and I'm English - it's more about passion feeling, good music, good times, than simple nationality...!)
Still to this day that performance was abosolutly mindblowing.. I have been lucky enough to power Heb Celt since it began and met Runrig and other great performers many times,, BUT nothing does it better when home grown talent does it good and always returns to islands where it started.. PS. And yes i agree What a drummer iain bayne is He is world class.
Totally agree on the Malcolm comment i was in the park Bar Glasgow (west end one) this time last friday and he was playing with a small band OMG the music adoreable. Seeing Runrig in August at the Northern Meetings park Inverness. Cant wait!
So .. I'm sold !! will always remember, , you guys did this Fredensbog, Danmark.. Drunk. ..as skunks, crawled out.. sound disapppeared ....and Iain "kept on going" , saved the concert - accapello - drums til Callum og Malcolm, funniest show
Muss man einfach mal Lvie erlebt haben.... Ich frage mich oftmals, wie man nach 40 Jahren immer noch soviel Spielfreude haben kann. Einfach nur professionell?
Well it looks pretty well like them to me. Get over it - Donnie Munro left (of his own accord) and they've moved on, with a new (very different but equally good) singer.
Think Bruce injected new life into the band. Some of the older stuff suited Donnie but I cannot see him singing some of the newer material. Both very talented but totally different so you cannot compair really.
Kinda poor sound quality ... but nonetheless the performance is absolutely fabulous (I just wished I could turn back time and ... "beam" myself up to that concert :D )

So great ! And so underrated ! Love from Germany
Love it! Reminds me of one concert I went to where Bruce said he hadn't got a clue what he was singing in the Gaelic songs.
Lol love the honesty and to be fair I've sang along to many gaelic lyrics and hadn't a clue either...
I have so many of their CD's. A great band. I wish they would come to LA or California anywhere!
Yes! If only... Hi from LA here! ^__^

Sorry about the sound. If I recall correctly I was right next to a speaker stack - that might've been the problem 🤣
