Oh Ann that was so much fun!! I Loved how your daughter took over your reading nook 😄 and Tom what a sport. We could use his chopping skills up here in Canada it’s just as cold!
Hi Anne!! I should have commented many months ago, but I just want to let you know how very much I appreciate you!!! I grew up in a town very near you, and my husband grew up in Woodstock, CT. We have lived in Minnesota for 35 years, but the primitive living of New England has always had a special place in my heart!! We have visited family many times through the years, and always try to visit Old Sturbridge Village and drive around to look at all of the historical homes. This past October we visited again and I got re inspired to decorate my home in the more primitive style. It was at that point that I was looking on line for inspiration and found your channel. Oh my Anne!! I have watched nearly every video of yours several times!! You AMAZE me!! With all of the evil going on in this world, your channel is a place of respite and calm and.....It has been such a joy these last 6 months!! I have fallen in love with you, Lainey, Alice and Cousin Mel !! Thank you ladies for being you!! Each one of you is a treasure and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!! God Bless you all!!!!
Aw thanks so much Beth! I’m so glad that we can bring a piece of home your way! Thanks for watching all my videos! Wow all almost 800! That’s incredible! Have fun transforming your home!
It’s amazing how just trying to making a small reading nook to keep warm turns into a major project. I can relate.😂 Just loved your video and your great sense of humor Anne.
Thanks Brenda… it is and it’s amazing that it just took place in front of my eyes. I didn’t add or embellish the story… it just was. It’s kind of fun to see life unfold like that:
They would but I’m keeping that clean because clutter grows in my home. I add a few books, my daughter adds her yarn, Tom adds the bills and the next think I know, my kitchen looks like it did before I started. It’s a never ending cycle.
This episode was fantastic. It made me smile and laugh. We all could use a laugh these days. I think you should consider being a novelist one day. I know you are way too busy now but I think you should consider it in the future. A period piece with both a dramatic and comedic twist. You really are talented in so many ways. If you ever write a book, I want to buy a signed copy.
That was so funny. The music was perfect. I’m still laughing. Now I want to read…but wait! I have a basket I need to put together, then a pot roast to make…….ill never be reading at this pace. ❤
Omg this is so funny!!!!!! Love it!!! But also shows that stuff happens when we start a project and then rearranging changes so many things around our house !!!!!
OMG - i literally laughed out loud when you shared the reason for the chairs you selected for the reading nook - too funny. Room looks great and love your videos!!! ❤
Anne this was absolutely adorable! Every thing that you do is perfect. The furniture placement at the end is charming! I so wish that I had your talent. I look forward to everything that you put on You tube. You show everything and it's great, but you never show your magic wand. Where is it and are you going to sell them on your page. I would like one, ( hee, hee, hee !) Love ya Girl!!!🤣 KEEP EM COMING!
@@AnneClay thank you ill have to wait till check time but I love it so pretty I swear I lived in primitive times in a past life all the primitive dress and things are so familiar I've always been drawn to that sort of stuff .
Yup, Bonnie again. Well we heated our pre civil war farmhouse with firewood from 1971 till we moved in 2007. Our Vermont Defiant meant we could cook as well as stay warm. In defense of our home it had been insulated, rewired, replumbed and windows replaced. Soot and dust? It is a way of life. Anne, you are so creative and living the way you have chosen is indeed an adventure, an experience, a moment in history, a bonding family time and a time to reflect on just how crazy you are. Now a warm reading nook means a warm cozy quilt and an electric lap robe. See, it's easy?
Yep that’s a lot easier Bonnie… but there would be no video material in that unless I tripped on the cord, knocked my water against the wall, broke the glass, stepped in it and cut my foot. It’s been done trust me!
Anne,im loving these videos! Love the reading nook too!Its crazy to be sitting by the fire in April, you weren't alone on that! Have a wonderful day cozied up with your books.🕊️💚
He rents one a few times a year but we burn through the wood too quickly. He doesn’t want to buy one because then you have to store and maintain it and those things always break.
I feel your pain…or cold. I live in Kentucky, and we’ve had a frost every night for the last week. I want to smack Mother Nature, but I know if I do, she’ll give us more frost. Oh well….😬
Loved it!! Thank you!
Loved this so much💐
😂😂😂 I just adore you!
Thank you Connie! ❤️❤️

Love your new reading nook ! Wish I could move furniture around like you go and have it look like it's supposed to be there.
Thank you Charlotte. Of course when I create one room sometimes I destroy others! Altho this time my home was relatively unscathed!
This was so funny but also informative. Even Dewey came to the rescue! Carlisle could care less 😂. I’d love a beautiful reading nook like that.
Thank you - Dewy is a good sport!! Carlisle is too old to care about anything but food at this point.
Hilarious!! 😂❤ I am a day late to the party, but I'm so glad I showed up! This was great. Bravo, Anne!
Thanks Vicki! The party is always here!
Whoo hoo! 💃
Books in the bowl would be cute

Oh Anne, you always make me smile and laugh. Love your sense of humor and your creativity is off the charts. Love You💝
Thank you so much Kathy. Just keeping it real!
Loved this Anne you make me laugh! I feel your pain with the dust from the wood I have it too!
It’s amazing how it gathers!
Awwwww. The Dewster is so proud of himself!❤️❤️❤️❤️. The dust caused by a wood burner is just the worst. It’s a non-stop PITA.
Dewy heard it go and searched for it and dropped it right at my feet. Smartest dog I ever had!

I know! Sometimes we are still burning the fire in mid May! Tom’s done but mother winter isn’t!
Hi Anne, I love this. A reading nook on a chilly rainy day how perfect
I have yet to sit down and read in it! Lol
😂😂😂 love when you went outside because you were hot !! That’s me
lol I would have put a bathing suit on for dramatic purposes but that would have just horrified everyone!
Poor Tom's back he needs a log spliter much easier
