I got a bottle of Glenfarclas 12 for Christmas maybe 8 years ago, really nice approachable dram. I have not tried it since but I'd never turn down trying it again.

Wonderful Eric! 7 years ago in the early part of my Whisky journey I was served GF 12 on United. It was more intense and complex than the simple Single Malts I was drinking. Even at 43% it has a nice impact and full flavor. I don’t quite understand 43% up the whole line of age stated but I think blind most would feel it is 46%. (I was flying with My Brother who had us up in Business class and we used their little water glasses which are perfect! Lol!) Love your Videos! You are a wonderful teacher! Loved your Springbank tour! Thank you always NealyB

My bottle is transparent. I love the brown glass look. Looks more premium. Haven't tried my 12 one yet. I think I stock too much whiskey. 😅

Great review. I appreciate the comparisons between similar bottles or between age statements and abv. Gives me a better idea of the notes and characters especially if I had one of the others. It also helps with buying a 15yr at 46% or a 12yr, 17yr, 21yr at 43%. Thanks again.

I attended a Glenfarclas MasterClass at the George Brown College in Toronto - late Feb. Tasted the 12, 15, 25yo., "105" and the 1988 Family Class. My favourite was the 15 year old. Just Superb. On my bucket list to visit this distillery.,

Did you drink from the Robbie Dhu Spring? I did when I was there in June 2018.

Your video motivated to pour a dram of my 105 three nights ago, diluted with the 57% water of the 12 year old. I let it open up on the glass with a drop of Fiji water, for a very long time.
I think it really changed me into a sherry lover. There is no shortage of sherried whisky on my bar but I like to think of myself as a purist.
And, my 105 is pale, like an Arran 10. But now I am thoroughly enthralled with the complex sherry notes that Glenfarclas delivers.

I love Glenn barkless for my birthday. I bought a bottle of the 40 year old warehouse edition miniature lol I’m looking forward to it. I have tried the 30 year old on several occasions and absolutely love it and actually have a large bottle that I bought for the future, and I just ordered to pick up tomorrow a 21year-old Glenfarclas cask strength single cask
Thanks for the video I’m enjoying it

I really enjoyed the Glenfarclas 15, but I get a strange metallic note in Glenfarclas. I also have experienced batch variation when I picked up a replacement bottle. I am glad you mentioned that the Sherry cask influence I expected is not similar to other sherried whiskies and it puzzled me. Love the value of the whisky, and now since I do like the darker fruit notes of sherry whiskies I will look to the 105 which for some reason I have never tried. Thanks for the review.

just tried this one today. Pretty solid drink. First time I noticed candied almonds on the nose, quite interesting

That almond note probably comes from the maillard reaction of the direct fired stills.
