Just a thought I could be wrong will the tailgate being back on the truck maybe help you with traction since the wind force will kind of be pushing the bed down? Or would it do more harm than good for ET
I get it, but it's luck of the draw and it only needs to happen once and you're out a supercharger unit or even worse an engine as well. I just like to be prepared for the worst. A nice piece of stainless mesh at 1/16" or 1/8" , will not offer any real resistance to air being sucked in.
Its the simplest and best way to get cooler fresh air, track or street, its better than any Hot Air Intake. A little touch up paint and a rubber gasket around the edge so it doesn't vibrate and they'll never notice. Made one based on the "Hellcat" headlight add-on piece you can get from the Challengers. Did one for my Dakota, right from the front of the stock airbox, small jog to and ran it out to the back edge of the grill (being the grill is mounted the hood) added a NACA duct style scoops to it and split it so it pulled from both top & bottom of the cross brace in the center of the grill. Went from AITs of 115 cruising at 60 with 90-95 ambient air temps to it being 10 degrees cooler than ambient at 60mph and running +10 warmer than ambient while at traffic lights.
Looks great I did something similar without getting rid of the box I ran my piping down just under the front pumper and used the snorkel that was actually part of the stock box. I will send you some pics

Thanks for the Tips! What has been done to your Engine internally?
For the year you got for a Ram can u still get a 3.8 whipple?

Good job with that air raid intake tubing kit!
That track intake it is allot of bang for the buck
🙋♂️👨🔧?
Lol
@@IncredibleHemi1111 ok
Sounding nasty brother! That track intake is definitely putting in the work and adding power! Now, let's get her hookin' and bookin'! 💪
Thanx bro , truck intake definitely made more power. Can't wait to see what it'll do once we have traction
It’s all up to you now to lead GR team. Everyone else left that was fast, except David and haven’t seen Dauria race in awhile.
Yupp , I dunno what happened to Jason
I think I’m gonna go the same direction with my truck. I think that intake is insanely cool
Awesome, it without a doubt helped with lowering my iats which definitely picked up some power too
Hello from a huge fan from Canada 🇨🇦! Loving the ram, it's growing up nicely lol. Great video and the effort you give us!
Thank you from America 🇺🇸 and I'll keep the videos coming
Nifty
Hey it works
R U still running your stock rad???????
Yes still running stock rad
Do you have any type of mesh or anything to keep large debris from getting sucked into the intake ?
No , all the fastest rams been doing this for years with ZERO issues as long as it's only at the track

Hey it's your truck you do what you want sounds bad ass bro
Thanx
Where did you get the velocity stack from?

What gear ratio are you running? Might need to change that to hook.
We are running the lowest possible gears 3.21s for the 8 speed.
Yea. Hmm, you'll get figured out.
@h2oram903 I'll definitely get it figured out got something that should help hook, video in a couple days
