What do you guys think of the upcoming changes in Rainbow Six Siege Year 9? I think this is one of the best Updates the game has had in years!
Thank you to Ubisoft for Supporting the channel! Check out Rainbow Six Siege wehy.pe/y/17/BigfryTV #AD
I think they should remaster the real R6 games.
I still want my rainbow 6 patriots that will never happen because they can’t sell micro transactions as easily and other reasons .
Game looked cool 💯
Me too brother. Would LOVE a return to the Tactical, co-op mission based roots for another game. Leave Siege, it's doing numbers. And give us a proper PvE game (Not Extraction lol)
OR.. OR HEAR ME OUT... A PVE EXTRACTION GAME?! That's also SUPER TACTICAL@@BigfryTV
@@BigfryTVI miss the days of playing Rainbow Six 3 Black Arrow and Vegas 1-2.
@@BigfryTV haha, exactly. I wouldn’t expect them to turn that loose as well as it’s done, waiting for patriots and getting siege broke my heart at the time that is . If they’d just make us other guys the version as you mentioned . I can rest easy . I would take a MAG 2 and could also rest easy . I’ll keep dreaming though . Socom, uncharted, MAG, HL 3, the list goes on .
My main problem with Siege is that every year it strays further away from the immersive tactical SWAT style that was showcased in E3 2014.
I realize that a lot of people prefer competitive games over immersive ones, but I still wish that the original vision was fully realized.
But the new update looks interesting, so I might hop back in.
The struggle with siege specifically is exactly that. The balance between comp nature and immsersion. Its a very thin line and ubisoft has done everything BUT walk it perfectly. However, with that being said, Siege has filled an extremely niche genre and continues to impress. I think these updated are gonna introduce some of the immersion that is so sought after.
@@DomDoesEditsthey can make a balance by making a game mode for that hardcore theme that some fans want
Yeah man the one i saw jn E3 was the one i was hoping for.
I agree, same here. I actually want a PS5 first before hopping into anything.
Thankyou, im not going mad i was thinking it was just me
This game never should have been a "Rainbow Six" title.
Ubisoft has destroyed all of the Tom Clancy games and for what just to make money 💰💰🤑
It kinda felt like it fit the first year or two. But now it might as well be RainbowPex - Legends
I read the book a little while ago, realized the game has almost nothing to do with the book, and am now just wondering, why?
It has never been a Rainbow Six in my mind and never will be. Ubisoft just use their famous IPs to cater to a wider audience without caring on how it hurts the franchise and the original fans.
It's infinitely more Rainbow Six than any other such title in the past decade, just because some aspects of it are cringe doesn't mean it's not an excellent tac shooter.
The only thing I'd love to see in siege is the "Tom Clancy's" tag being removed.
Why
@@MaskedGamer10001 Every Tom Clancy title produced by Ubisoft was built off of all of the novels written by Tom Clancy himself who overlooked these games and made sure they were true to form, and ever since he passed away, Ubisoft has basically been dancing on his grave, taking his characters and concepts and adding a bunch of goofy bullshit that was never meant to be in these universes. So I agree, they should at least remove his name from something he would have never wanted part of in the first place
On top of that can we remove the tom clancy name from ghost recon and splinter cell as well because most likely they will ruin those games too
Agreed
@@IAmVarious yeah. The man was barely cold before they cancelled patriots and went with siege. His estate holders are more than happy using Tom's legacy to keep the money flowing.
"Rainbow Six is FINALLY getting Tactical again" > First thing talking about is an operator which has a gadget that tracks the enemy location. Yeah sure... I miss Operation White Noise..
Agreed
Maybe all the wall hacks gadgets and bulletproof ass glass are tactical 👀
The operator being tracked also sees the hunter(Deimos) but it aint a live ping like deimos
tactical does not mean realistic
@@miiilk_ Tactical shooter is a sub-genre of first- and third-person shooters, associated with using strategy, planning, and tactics in gameplay, as well as the realistic simulations of ballistics, accurate firearm mechanics, physics and stamina, and low time to kill.
Siege will never get out of the TDM meta unless they do something about jiggle peeking, your strategies and plays dont matter at all when people in high ELO constantly jiggle peek Desync one tap you.
same with those tiny pixel peeks. holding an angle through 3 doors and a hole in the wall thats a 1/4" wide. weapon sway and momentum then we can discuss tactical.
What I would do for a ranked classic playlist. I LOVED siege when it came out but I just really don’t jive with how it’s evolved personally
Coming back to it last year was...tough. So many ops, so many new maps. But man, its still so rewarding to play this game and win. Can't wait for this next season!
It's hard to believe that this is the same company that made rainbow six and ghost recon as well as my favorite game of all time splinter cell ubisoft couldn't make a classic tactical single player game or stealth game to save there lives like what happened to the ubisoft that made all those classics
facts
"I know there's a crowd in my community that are tactical FPS purists, who look at what Rainbow Six has become from the early days and hate it, but as an FPS, Rainbow Six still has the most tactical gameplay and is doing it at a level that no, like, hardcore shooter is really doing it at."
Ground Branch. . . . . .?
Ground Branch and Siege are shit
@@swiss8988 Right. Now go back to grinding Counter-Strike bud.
Ground Branch is GOLDEN!
Ground Branch sucks, is lightyears behind Ready or Not, and I literally laugh when I see people engaging the AI in ground branch. They are waiting around to die, and without Rules of Engagement, there's nothing stopping you from mowing them down without even thinking about how you're going to approach the mission. The map design is abysmal too, holy shit.
@@killcount6534 That's why you play PVP....I don't agree with the map design thing. The only map that I think is odd is City. All of the others are pretty natural-feeling locations.
As for the AI, it's obviously a problem, but it's still on par or better than the AI of R6 Vegas or Vegas 2, which were decent for their time.
You can also cut the edge, unless you're an angsty teenager. The game doesn't suck.
i would still like a Rainbow Six game that has nothing to do with siege that is like the old school ones with a good story. they should have chose to make a new ip instead of using the Rainbow Six tag... imo
I agree. Extraction didn't need to release at all. Give us a TRUE Tactical PvE co-op experience in the Rainbow Six universe and keep Siege as the Multiplayer PVP Powerhouse and I think its a winning combo!
And i would like a splinter cell game that has nothing to do with ubisoft
@@BigfryTV I agree 100%, They know us OG's are wanting this to happen. Hopefully they deliver someday but i have to admit Ubisoft just isn't what it use to be.
I would just like a new splinter cell in general lol. I miss the hell out of that game. I also miss Metal Gear Solid for that matter.... will never see that one again.@@user-sm1zk8ur3h
agreed. we will be throwing out a new map for Rainbow Six 3 based on Afghanistan soon. because long live the classics
I stopped playing this game after I saw that they are adding operators faster than me being able to unlock them. It was a frustrating grind that I didn't have time to. Plus I didn't want to buy them with real money so I've stopped playing altogether.
There is a difference between what people usually mean when the say "Tactical shooter" and a "competitive shooter"
Rainbow six is not what the tactical community whished from a Rainbow six game to be.
Yes, it is highly competitive and therefore rewarding. like CS, valorant, etc. all can be played at very high level with insane tactics and strategy in order to win. yet we still call those competitive shooters but no one is calling valorant a tactical shooter..
Competitive games are scratching a different itch. you don't notice the ridiculous skins, the unrealistic gadgets.
you lower your graphics to the minimum and just focus on winning. this is what brings you the enjoyment at the end.
it is different than games you play for immersion and role playing. it is a game about SF operators but at no point you feel like an operator. you feel like a gamer playing a video game in order to win.
So yeah, for what it is - a competitive esport - it is a very good game.
but if you are just a tactical shooter fan and NOT a competitive gamer, there is nothing for you in this game.
I feel the same way about ghost recon now when i play i don't feel like a spec ops soldier
Regular Lv1 BigFry: F*ck you Ubisoft!
Sponsored Lv100 BigFry: Ubisoft, well done!
I mean. I’ve been playing R6 damn near every stream for almost a year. I love the game.
If they add a mode with no abilities, I'd be interested. I'm just going to have to stick with Zero Hour, even if it's jankier.
welcome to the club :( I hope they will fix the jank and also that the rounds dont go 5+ MINUTES OH MY GOD
Zero Hour just got another update today! Love it
@@TacticalGamingNetwork Yeah it's pretty good!
Then theres CSGO with 32 rounds per 1 match
if only they didn't have toy guns, unicorns, and rainbow farts, maybe I would have stuck with the game over the years.
I don't think anything could ever bring me back to Rainbow Six, R6 died with siege for many of us. I have high hopes for the PVP in Ready or Not and Six Days in Fallujah filling my needs.
Sounds like a skill issue
And does 6 days in kahula have PVP cuz I know ready or not doesn't so what you're saying is you can't go against other people
@@Anorak03 Or maybe we just like a fun tactical experience rather than a borderline arcade shooter that's tailor made for esports.
But neither of those games have pvp, right?
Same
i want the real r6 back
yes
“Hey, Ubisoft… Well done.”
Too bad they’re implementing these changes now when it should’ve been this way from the start.
Tbf, classic siege was a lot more tactical. Moving their vision back to that is a good thing, regardless what people think.
Insurgency sandstorm > seige
Fry, what are you talking about. You say the game is getting tactical again, and the examples you mention are reorganizing the weapon optics and the shield rework. Shield rework is somewhat related to tactical gameplay. But I wouldn't call it "tactical again."
You also kick off the video talking about a new operator with a mini drone buzzing around like a mosquito that gives live HUD pings.
Nothing in this video really tells me the game is going back to being tactical. It's a hero shooter with tactical elements.
tl;dr This ain't it
Rainbow Six 3 is still the best
I was done when they first started not adding new weapons with every patch
Hear me out, make a No Operator Gadgets mode because I think this would hype up game and bring in many new people
Whats the point of Ops then? Might as well make everyone recruit
That just sounds like... a 5v5 FPS. I don't think it would bring in many people at all. Just play COD Search and Destroy at that point?
I agree. As a new player, I find myself fumbling about trying to remember what the hell my operator is supposed to be doing. A straight shooting mode with maybe some regular gadgets would be good.
Im pretty sure the people talking negative about your comment is taking it the wrong way or i am. I am assuming you are saying get rid of the r6 operator gadgets, but still using breaching charges, grenades, blah blah. R6 gadgets are just glorified breaching chargers and surveillance lol. I dont get why that makes you need to play cod. Totally different games lmao. You didnt ask for bunny hops while shooting. "Play insurgency sandstorm" would of made more sense.
@@BigfryTV i think thats the point.
A lot of us would LOVE to see a 5v5 attack and defend a structure.
I think similar to Zero Hour (which i love), or a PVP mode for Ready or Not
Sounds cool but I'm still waiting on a rainbow six 3 sequel
How is the player base? That was the big thing that made me and my friends stop playing. It was only 3 of us, so never enough for a full team, but we had so many issues with team killing and people voting to boot if you didnt win the game for them after they died. A few of the other changes were annoying, but that was ultimately what did it for us.
No wonder why u dont talk abt How unplayable the game was a month ago for 3 weeks bc of server issues😅
Playing with Lara Croft and Altair is definitely tactical ...
does tactical mean realism or gameplay? I always thought tactical is used for the style of gameplay the game promotes and Siege def doesnt promote nor has the design for a player to run n gun unless you want lmao
When talking about a " TOM CLANCY " game. I'd like both tactical and real. If it's not real I won't even get to the gameplay to enjoy the "tactical" gameplay@@zay0113
@@zay0113 both
@@lamborgini86tactical does not means realism...

R6 would be 100times better if ubisoft stopped listeing to the esportler and more to the community.
Breaking player and viewership records, but yeah. Let's switch up.
@@BigfryTV nah not completle, i just saw your tweet.
they literally added tuberao which no one in comp asked for and made comp siege super defense sided...
This is ubisoft we are talking about
Seems like some cool changes, but the main problem is the amount of operators and how unrealistic the abilities are. The sci-fi shit is way out of pocket, and I dont think this is gonna be enough to draw in a huge chunk of the playerbase to come back to the game. The game has never been balanced, but there was no reason to go too far with it.
They only add new operators in as a vehicle to quickly introduce new skins and stuff unrelated to existing content because its easier than creating high quality content for existing weapons and operators. They wouldn't be able to spew out content as rapidly if they had to come up with fresh ideas for new skins for the old operators, which goes against their usual scheme of generating money quickly.
Tom Clancy has already rolled around and out of his grave, it's too late now to right they're wrongs😴
Jynxzi really single handedly revived this game and got everyone back into it
We definitely need to bring back everything from year2 & prior 😭
Siege really doesn't need a sequel.
I'd love to be playing on an engine upgraded game, so updates like Deep Freeze don't break the game on release. Could be nice
It fucking does. Are you fucking blind? The game looks like garbage and it has lost what little immersion it had.
I'd much rather suspect them to do it like CS:GO did, where it is still "the same game, *but not*"@@BigfryTV
But why
Tactical game for casual players. What’s an easier way to make money?
agreed
Rainbow six siege is still and will never be a rainbow six game in my eyes there still no real tactical. i feel you can not do that in a pvp game with Operator ,
they need to drop the name tom clancy from it and call it siege and work on a real rainbow six game
indeed
I still hate this game with my guts
Yeah same I used to love it back in the day but it has gone way down hill since.
Why sounds like a skill issue
@@Anorak03 Brother I've never played this trash game, so no, your assessment is wrong.
@@GrEaTDemOnBlade then why do you hate something you've never played
@@Anorak03 Because the franchise used to be something different than this.
I haven't played siege in years. The last time I tried I thought "I'm rusty, I'll get bullied...no screw it who tf cares if I have one or two rough rounds?" My teammates did... 😒
Some kid fuckin scrambled to hop on the mic and join in on shitting on me for not clutching after they all died in under 45 seconds into the round.
I think I’m having those same issues with my computer this shit keeps crashing on launch
Roll back your NVIDIA drivers to Oct of 2023. Fixed mine right up (its seems so anyway)

NAH chief. Rainbow 6 DEFINETLY needs an engine upgrade or a sequel to revive itself. At least a fresh start. What is that CEO mf yapping about. Has he even seen the game? The game looks like straight 2014 dogshit. A fresh start means new life in the franchise. Return to the tactical nature of the game.
Siege was never tactical compared to the originals. They just don't want to spend money making a new IP when they are still making bank off of Siege.
@@TacticalGamingNetworkcompared to the originals sure, but year 1 siege was 10x more tactical than how the game plays now. right now its just blops 4 search with steps. then throw in ranked 2.0 and it has the absolute worst ranked system out of any competitive shooter.
thats true and i used to, in year 1, run Recruit only matches so it became more about your wits and raw skills than special perks@@angels22faz
Rainbow six siege is Rainbow Six in name only. I don’t much care about it. It’s got too much going on. Imo
I read the title and the first thing i thought was "NO F* WAY."
And then... i got it.
tactical? yea right.
" greatest e-sports display " as if defense right now doesn't have 74% win rate...
I forgot this game is still being played. I was into it when it first came out but after so many years with updates, I became uninterested. I might come back and check it out again
We just want a tactical 5v5 without operators and abilities and gadgets. Tarkov Arena is the closest thing there is and its not even close. Zero Hour pvp never took off because of some gamebreaking party and matmaking related bugs during the first sale that brought in a few thousand players. Ready or Not pvp would be a godsend to the tac shooter community if it were just T vs CT but realistic. Siege is nothing but a hero-based twitch shooter and its no longer in the same realm as real "tactical" shooters. Just because you can use "tactics" doesnt make this game fit in the genre. Its long gone.
I absolutely hate what Rainbow Six has become. There's nothing tactical about this. If Tom Clancy was still alive, he'd be incensed at what is being done to his legacy.
More like, he'll take away the license for Ubisoft to make games based off his vision.
Looks like Ubisoft finally got that players want a tactical game to be tactical, not the bs we got when ghost recon breakpoint first launched.
Love that this game is still thriving. I admit I fell out of the game and its hard to pick back up because of all the map changes, but as long as its still flowing smoothly in the right direction I'd like to come back!
Honestly after playing ready or not I can’t ever go back to siege again. All of the gadgets and weird characters ruined it for me personally. Is it mostly the PC players still playing this game? I never see or hear about anyone on console playing this anymore.
precisely. to me the aesthetic and atmosphere is important, even in a competitive shooter, and the sci-fi stuff just puts the game in a REALLY weird spot, and its all because they wanted to back down from the "Terrorist" idea that was never fully implemented anyway. Like even CS2 is better, and thats because they knew where they wanted that game to be. It's lighthearted in its design but it all fits together cohesively. Siege went way too far.
sooo weve never heard of jynxi, alriiighhhhtttt
Saying R6 is tactical is like saying governments always tell the truth.
I just wish they could bring back the permanent dead bodies
I loved the OG RainbowSix series. The controller movement and interaction of the new RS with its shooting feels more Fortnite than tactical.
This is a leak so proceed at your own cautioun:
The membership shit if it's right then is gonna piss off a lot of players. Paying 120$ per year (10$ every month) when u have a year pass model that's praised for being consumer friendly is just self sabotage. I am excited for new season and changes but if this shit goes through then fuck it I won't even pay for battlepass. Ubi really had to put their grubby money hands into something that's going good and ruin it smh...
sorry didn't hear about it. :)
They should make the houses or whatever random for every match. That way, people wouldn't be able to memorize where people spawn or where to camp as quick
What I want in an update is to fix the hitboxes. I have gotten several close range shotgun headshots in the past and it did not register.
I have a hunch that they will make Blackbeard a shield operator similar to Blitz & Montagne, but with a different speciality.
a mode without special operators and gadgets i like the gameplay of rainbow but i really despise any operator and gadget system in any game but rainbow is just so good but has it
if I can't clean the toilet in this game I ain't playing
Weeboo 6. Make a competitive recruit only mode or bust.
How is it that UBISOFT of all people are most in tune with what the community wants in their mp shooter games?
Like you have Skull and Bones, and then you have R6 and XDefiant. Like wtf???
i'm still not supporting bs games that are bad at release and good after 69435 years... that trend needs to die
Last time I played R6S was the alien invasion event, so I dunno if I should jump back or not.
That si final was just beautiful
I just picked it up for the first time. Wish I had sooner, it's so fun and addicting.
I still adore this game all these years later. It’s replaced every comp shooter for me. CS, OW, VAL, etc. Siege has so many complexities to it that just makes it so much more fun and interesting. Still would like a normal pve R6 game but I still want siege to be around for years to come
We should get a PVE only R6 game, that goes back to the tactical roots of R6. They don't need to have a campaign as each level has its own story and maps procedurally generated. They can still have R6S for people who enjoy the mp, but Ubisoft really should open the doors more for the franchise.
Honestly, I feel like instead of a sequel: just make a co-op and PVE focused R6 game with actual story missions for those of us who want that more PVE experience. A lot of people want that PVE experience as shown by Helldivers 2 so there is some form of market for that kind of experience.
😂 Its like saying Mario cart is just as realistic as the real deal.
They need to at least bring back a revamped Terrorist Hunt mode. In case you aren't aware, they have completely removed it and replaced it with a rudementry bot match with AI-controlled players.
I think too many people are still stuck on this being what the orignial trailer showed, and the title "Tom Clancy". I do agree it should never have been a Tom Clancy Rainbow Six title with the way it is now - but it is still a great competitive shooter (or used to be). I am glad to see them trying to rebalance the game and make it what made it fun back in the day. I have over 3k hours combined on this game and I fell out of love with it 2 years ago. But this may just bring me back.
Ubisoft loses so much from Skull and Cutscenes, they'll be looking to make that money back
Sequels are not the move it seems 😭🤣
So tacitical you can see through walls and send in holograms of yourself, thus removing a lot of the tactics you would actually require to asses the enemy team
Nah, ubisoft game. Never gonna fall for their crap again

The game was saved by Demios who killed the objective and did friendly fire in the lore
Does anyone know the Background track Id?
lets get some things straight
I played r6 for 5 years since year 1 season 2 till i got burned out
its good to see them going back to the drawing board
but something no one talks is about that ubisoft year after year cuts the budget of the development for r6
content wise until year 3 we had 1 new map and 2 operators per season and all the mid season updates were reworks-tweaks and balance changes
now we re diving in year 9 and things that were mid season updates at the old times now they are the main focus of the seasons
i just wanted to address that since no one actually does but the content is almost non existent at this point
If they would fix the Ranked mode the game would also be better overall because now ranked is just a waste of youre time basically.
I hope the TDM Meta is dead and will never happen again!
I mean yah , it's a good start to return to form.
I just really miss old rainbow man
As someone who absolutely loves that game but doesn't play it for almost 2 years now :
The changes sounds all great and I almost get hyped enough to play again - but all this won't fix the community.
The community is the worst bug in this game.
I can't count how many shittalk people give all the time and how often I got team killed just because I didn't played the way my mate wanted me to.
It's just filled with toxic teenagers which kills the mood extremely.
(Obviously that doesn't apply to everyone - but if you feel attacked you're probably one of them lol)
Take the Rainbow Six out of the name. Never saw the appeal of it, tbh. Definitely doesn't feel like a Tom Clancy game

idk a new r6 would be a better play i think. The game's been out for 9 years, it's getting old and clunky REALLY fast. I stopped playing when they started to recycle weapons with operators, I think about when Nokk came out or something, and I recently redownloaded to play with friends and it is just the clunkiest and sweatiest game I've played. More-so than Val or Apex I think, R6 breeds a different kind of sweaty tryhard player bro.
Tell me one way in which siege is clunky, just one because it's one of the smoothest FPS games ever made.
I mean, I'd have to agree that, altough I rather have it as it is in R6 than some other lighter games, the movement/weight in R6 does feel very heavy/clunky especially in combination with not being able to Jump and everything being behind a stationary animation or look>click prompt>play animation>get control>cancel action>play animation>get control gameplay, there are just smoother ways these days to implement these things, a "smooth FPS" isn't a not Clunky FPS. @@Killjoy.Z
Other players being better than you is not a valid criticism for a pvp fps game, you are built for boomer pve shooters so just accept it.
I love that you read my mind I just watched your video about that developer who went on Discord crying about people complaining about his game and I thought man I would love to see you cover a Rainbow Six Siege one of the best tactical Shooters out there and here you are
Scratch that the best tactical shooter
@Anorak03 Bro what, Siege is nowhere close to the greatest beacon of tactical shooters. I liked Siege from what little I played, but the best tactical shooter? Come on man...
@IamNukem okay what's the best tactical shooter in your opinion 100 % it is best gun handling mechanics I've ever played controls fluently constantly getting updates and taking care of and keeps me on my toes
@Anorak03 I would say overall the best tactical shooter is Ready or Not. Animations are great, sounds are impactful, gunplay is fire, and it is far more slow paced and tactical than Siege. I heard Zero Hour is a better tactical pvp game not dissimilar to Siege, but I never really played it.
Also, both have a grim atmosphere if you're into that.
YEAH IK
Why are you appreciating the same game that killed the series as a whole?
