Raj Babbar was a hero material and still he took up this challenge of playing a negative role of a rapist in insaaf ka tarazu. Later he still became a hero in many films and also played villain in many films after that. The film was way ahead of its time. Zeenat aur padmini dono ka kaam bahoot achcha tha. Film sach me apne samay se bahoot aage thi. BR chopra was a genius filmmaker.

Music is felt disinteresting in 80s while compared to the earlier period. Perhaps people started walk towards TV which may be one of the reasons.
Most of the Films were business proposals.no effort on better script and making, music directors just delivering ordinary tunes.

Takkar was average movie. Seen as kid. Scene of asrani asking khichadi with pyaz to his mother and she beating him stuck in memory. I still laugh recalling that scene.

Shame on B. R. Chopra to have filmed that gruesome r*pe scene of Zeenat ji in 'Insaaf ...' movie. There was no need for that, and it is very clear that he was just trying to create sensation, since such type of scene was never filmed with such cruelty and in so much detail. It is indeed shameful that a producer & director of Chopra's stature, who made movies like Waqt, fell to such levels. Also, it is surprising that Chopra, who made fantastic legal thrillers like 'Kanoon' could find only a trashy movie like 'Lipstick' (which is called by many as one of the worst and most exploitative movies made in Hollywood) to remake.
'Lipstick' r*pe scene was much more gruesome, longer and difficult to watch (I don't have heart to see such bitchy scenes, but have read many reviews on that trashy movie. Americans hate that movie). The director of 'Lipstick' tricked the heroine, who was a world-famous model called Margaux Hemingway (grand-daughter of famous writer Earnest Hemingway), into filming that scene. I really feel awful for her.
Chopra's trick of showing that filth on screen worked and 'Insaaf ...' turned out to be a hit. It is a surprise how Censor cleared that scene. Chopra camp again tried that with their next movie 'Aaj Ki Awaaz', in which they tried to show a gruesome gang r*pe scene, but Censor Board, thankfully, taking lessons from its mistake in 'Insaaf ..', objected to that, and cut off the whole stuff. They were forced to film it again, and Censor cleared it only after heavy cutting and editing. This is the reason that the Censor certificate of 'Aaj Ki Awaaz' shows 'Re-Revised'.
Human beings should be treated with respect. The movies that show cruelty on any living being, especially for exploitation purpose, should be banned, and their makers should be punished.

Jeetendra ji ko kis baat ka itna ghamand tha? Woh khud kaunse bade mahaan actor the jo jayaprada ko poor actress kaha? Agar woh poor actress hoti to unke saath 25-30 jitni filme kyun ki unhone? Hypocrisy at the best. Jeetuji should be thankful that it was jayaprada who saved his career in 80s and made him star of 80s all thanks to her own south remakes otherwise jeetendra was overshadowed by amitabh bachchan, rajesh khanna vinod khanna and dharmendra in 70s. Waise ek aur cheez samaj me nahin aayi, agar jayaprada ko bura laga tha to unhone Jeetendra ke saath firse kaam karne se mana kyun nahin kiya????

@rakeshsadeo I think jayaprada was like mumtaz. Not childish and very professional. Mumtaz also worked with shashi kapoor in CMS although shashiji had refused to work with her in sachcha jhootha.
