And many parts of Africa had kingdoms relative to the continent: ghana, axum, mali, songhai, nubia(kush,meroe,taseti), Zimbabwe, kanem bornu, kingdom of congo, kilwa, etc. And much of these empires had, political infrastructure, religious sytems and trade with other ancient empires along the trade routes like India, Rome, Greeece and China. It was colonialism among many other factors that destroyed them plunging them into what you see now. But you wouldnt know that if you started African History from slavery or got your African history from 4chan/pol/ without actually reading books. It would be similar to me arbitrarily starting European history from feudalism to make a point or something.
I actually think it was the salve trades that destroyed Africa. I mean both of them: trans Saharan and trans Atlantic. It depleted the work force, displaced populations and made the economy of Sub-Saharan Africa largely dependent on it. The colonization of Africa merely destroyed what was left of the local economy and social structure.
That is what is so sad. Although those empire were great, a lot of them were great in part and in the short term "thanks" to the slave trades. It's like helping people to shoot yourself in the foot.

I love how these types point to the wheel as if that’s some marker of intellect. The wheel was invented in Iran and it took thousands of years for the ideas to attach it to a cylinder to be functional. By that time the civilization where already very far advanced
the act of just pointing to something like that and say "YA SEE? That isn't how addiction works either though. People that prefer stimulants aren't going to like depressants in the same manner. Someone's drug of choice depends on brain chemistry and different neurotransmitters. Someone that prefers opiates isn't going to be immediately addicted to crack cocaine. The same applies to someone that prefers Cannabis over alcohol or vice versa. Claiming that if someone smokes crack they will become addicted isn't realistic either.

Hmmm, the idea of simply dismissing ideology that is impractical is an interesting tactic. On one hand, it's not like it's through consensus or the system that Nazis or Tankies took power before, however I could see the potential psychological advantage of simple dismissal of their ideas on the basis of practicality. My hang up here is that this Nazi clearly preferred the simple dismissal of his impractical idea to having it dissected, but that doesn't necessarily mean this tactic of dismissal is bad or not working. On the surface you'd fear that people could hide their truly nasty intentions behind this dismissal, on the other hand I could see an argument for potentially disincentiving certain ideas all together by pointing out their impracticality.
Unfortunately, whether the tactic works or not, it rarely seems like people base their political hopes and dreams in "logic and reality." But I could see it potentially making certain individuals doubtful.

They also encouraged displacement of wealth from lower and middle class to the 1% by closing down small businesses and allowing places like walmart and amazon to further monopolize the market by not being closed. The left had a chance to shut down giant super spreader stores like walmart and instead chose to shut down small local businesses where maybe a few people would be present at a time as opposed to hundreds. Makes total sense if you hate the poor.
