I also owned the FJ200 series. Applying a booster in front of the input with the gain maximized on the clean channel will give the best cool distortion.
@@upside-down6211 this is my personal opinion, the distortion of the drive channel is a sound with a bulging midrange like the early Mesa Boogie, and if you want to make a sound like metal these days, input it to the clean channel. It is recommended to maximize the gain and use your favorite pedal.
@@SHOYUMAME thanks for advice, I using boss metal zone into a fx loop of the amp, i heard this amp is clone of fender amp ,right ?or clone of marshall ? Made in fender factory in Japan?
@@upside-down6211 This amplifier is a Japanese manufacturer that has been manufacturing amplifiers since the 1960s, regardless of their manufacturers. Since the fx loop is a circuit between the preamp and main amp, it is suitable for effects such as delay and chorus that you do not want to distort. If it's a pedal for adding distortion, it should be connected in front of the amp.
@@SHOYUMAME I find this info in the web,its say guyatone is a marshall JCM replica . are all models of guyatone replica of marshall ? Filip 200 fj series is marshall replica too ? www.guitarsjapan.com/1980s_Guyatone_Flip_300FCX_Tube_Amplifier.html
