Hati Bondhu is a dedicated group of villagers from Assam's Kamrup district, committed to safeguarding the elephants in their region. They assist these gentle giants in safely crossing railway tracks during the quiet hours of the night, working tirelessly to nurture and preserve the bond of love and coexistence between humans and elephants. The film tells their story of dedication, sharing a message about preserving the balance between humans and animals for a better world.
This film is a part of ‘Stories from the Ground: Northeast,’ a new film series by The Habitats Trust and Dusty Foot Productions, featuring 50 shorts by local filmmakers that celebrate the culture, traditions, and biodiversity of the region.
