As part of our communications and outreach work, we produce films (in English and regional languages) that focus on bringing stories that shine the spotlight on natural history, climate change, science, and conservation.
Stories from the Ground: Kaati Bihu
Kaati Bihu, one of Assam’s three major Bihu festivals, marks the pivotal time when rice saplings are relocated. Unlike the other Bihu celebrations, Kaati Bihu, also called Kongali Bihu, reflects a time of scarcity, symbolised by empty granaries and limited food availability. As a result, this festival is observed with more simplicity and restraint. For Sosida Nanda Bordoloi, an Assamese farmer of two decades, Kaati Bihu is not just a festival but a part of his identity.

I think Lazo tribe is fatherrenoal. The male is behind this unlawful rule. There are lots of examples of such discrimination of women in many tribes. Anyway it's gone it's good.
