Which website did you go to to find out which country was closest to giving points? I really want to know where the UK was
Either you'll find each country's detailed televote and jury ranking on eurovision.tv and wikipedia, or check out eurogeeksuk on instagram for a more structured account of the individual scores.
UK was 11th with polish juries
Polish jury placed UK on 11 place
Closest in televoting for UK was 14th place from Malteste televote. UK was ranked 20th and lower in 37 countries. Embarrassing 🥲
The televote was fair and square, but it was waaaaaaaaayyyyy overrated by the juries. And unfortunately, my home country is responsible for ⅔ of their undeserved points. Germany should have been the first country since the new voting system, to score 0 points overall, not the UK, even though I'm not a fan of their song either.

It was wayyyyy underrated by both the juries and televote (especially the televote, but the juries only gave them three points, so). Imo, it was the best entry in the whole ESC
