  • Comuna 13 was one of the most dangerous areas in Medellin and the world but recently, some art projects, murals, and building projects have made it one of the most colorful and interesting areas of Medellin, Colombia. During the 80s, Comuna 13 was considered one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the world. It was run by violent organizations that used the poor hillside barrio as a transit route and served as a stronghold for guerrillas and gangs. Today we walk around Comuna 13 to see what this neighborhood is like now and to hear some of the history of this fascinating place. Comuna 13 is becoming an intriguing, vivid part of Medellin and we try to show you that today. This is the Comuna 13 Medellin Colombia Travel Vlog.

I may only have a chance to find what I need in Mercado Oriental, Managua, Nicaragua. It's the biggest central America market. But everyone is telling me not to go. That it is too dangerous. Yesterday, I was curious and went to see how it looks. There were not enough people for me to feel safe with all the fear people putted in my head.
So I turned back. And a local friend will meet me in my hotel and we will go together. I didn't listen to advices years ago about visiting Venezuela. And I had a machete under my neck and lost everything. So now, when locals tells me not to go alone, or something is too dangerous, I listen.

Interesting place, it's history and what it is today! Colombia is indeed a very complex country! Can't wait to be able to visit!
Did you feel unsafe in any of the cities there?

@Simona Ciorei It would be good to consult the website of the government of the country in which you reside for advice on traveling abroad. It has updated information regarding safety.

We actually always felt pretty safe. I’m sure things do happen, but Colombia has changed a lot in the last 20 years. We felt fine walking camera in hand most places

Nice man, see you made it out of Peru. How’s Colombia? I’ve been contemplating buying tickets for mid December - mid Jan. How restrictive are they in Med ?

It is such a nice video. Thank you. When I started watching it, the part that starts to show Communa 13 reminded me of the poor side of The Wall of Shame in Peru. However, the latter part showed that it is actually much better and more colourful than that in Perú.
    Thank you for the video.

In Latin America, the migration of people from the countryside to the cities is a big problem because in the cities, they grow disorderly, without control, which causes violence, chaos, disorder and crime.
It is a constant in all large Latin cities.

    First!
Edit: let me take this time by saying I appreciate the work and effort that goes into these videos. Love the transformation over time and love to share these places and experiences with loved ones. Yall do a great job show casing and I hope peace and joy continue to come your way.
Ps. As an investor/entrepreneur who dreams of world travel and opportunity exploring. I'm in a phase of investments into many markets. Some I would suggest looking further into. NESARA/GESARA have a chance of being passed in the next couple of years. Precious metals (bullions and etfs) would be worth looking into. Especially with relation to a new US Dollar. Also, option investments into medium/long term on certain market segments wouldnt hurt. Id suggest looking into semiconductors, aerospace/defense, information/technology, homebuilding, "clean" energy, and cyber security. Id suggest staying away from pharma, select healthcare, tech giants, finance/banks, media titans, and some more. Would love to discuss further. While an unconventional payment, my information and insights can be worth fortunes to those willing to talk/learn.
Anyways, hope the best for yall and anyone aspiring to travel abroad and experience new and uncomfortable situations!
