You know, when I was starting Fruits Basket, I really BELIEVED it would be Yuki and Tohru. I was SO CONFIDENT about that. But after that episode where Tohru got to see Kyo's true form, I was like "Uhm... okay, maybe it's Kyo and Tohru after al- Naahhh, it's YukiTohru still." I didn't want to admit it but there was SO MUCH MORE to Kyo and Tohru on that scene. I was completely in denial, but at the same time, in my heart, I knew they were going to be the endgame. Then came Season 2 when Yuki said Tohru is very important to him WHILE FREAKING KYO ADMITTED THAT HE LOVES HER (AAANNDD THE VEEY FACT THAT I GET MORE GIDDY AT EVERY KYORU SCENES) I WAS LIKE OOHHKKKAAAYYY WHAT THE FVCK IT'S KYO AND TOHRU!!!
Nah, considering that Tohru’s favorite zodiac was the cat I kind of suspected she’d end up with him somehow at the end. But sure, I did sometimes doubt it along the way but 😂
I thought so too it would be Yuki and Tohru as the anime does not make it clear until S02. But I wish the storyline had shown a better delevopment of Tohru's character and love feelings towards Kyo. When she tells him she loves him even he gets confused thinking the only thing that mattered to Tohru was her mother.
yeah i shipped kyo and tohru but they were being so confusing in season 1 that I was just sad that it's gonna be yuki and tohru but I'm glad it wasn't because kyoru are so much cuter he was the only one ready to listen to her problems when she was sick otherwise all the others she would listen
The TohruxYukixKyo love triangle was one of the most heated manga debates during the 00's 😅 Because Yuki was introduced first and has more of the typical 'leading male' role, while Kyo initially aligns more with the 'male no.2' role, many thought it'd be TohruxYuki. But when the manga shifted towards emphasising Kyo and the zodiac curse, it pretty much cemented TohruxKyo. The moment I personally knew the TohruxYuki ship was dead was when they introduced Machi 😂
