Its comical but an irl issue with jets. Comparatively small radar signature, cold engine, low altitude, and stupidly tight turn radius make them difficult targets in the hands of pilots who know what they're doing. During Korea and Vietnam several fighters had fatal encounters with trees trying to down Po-2s raiding their airfields. As for killing jets directly, speed difference and lack of fire control makes landing hits almost impossible, but a steel core 7.62mm MG round can fuck up a jet engine as easily as a bird strike
@@ronaldthompson4989 to be fair to the korean war jets they hardly had the kinds of radars we do today and their engines were only really good at getting them going high speeds at sea level after a while of flying. in a lot of cases those early jets were hardly any better than the planes they replaced, it wouldn't be until the second half of the 50s that some jets of real quality came around.
Wanna lower your radar cross-section? Just like, use less metal in plane, duh, make it out of wood and cloth (and polymers now that we're in the 21st century)
yeah actually, wooden objects don't absorb radar enough to make a difference over that and sheets of aluminum. Northrup Grumman tested that fact with the old German "flying wing" jet and there is a documentary out there about it. radar absorption is far more complicated than most people realize.
Heat seekingbmissiles should kormally not work on prop planes and espescially old ones cause their engines would not generate enough heat to get targeted
i mean it's an arcade match. Unless you did a biplane vs jet on a realistic battle, or if someone else has done that. But now i wonder if the missile can lock on a biplane on a realistic battle.
Fun fact, you can use your rockets as makeshift flares
Did you find that out recently or been doing it for years? Hopefully the 2nd one.
I saw gaijin’s basement guy use it as flares
Have you ever used your sidewinder as flares while an a10 fires a 9l at you from the front

Not really a "fun" fact if it is actually usefull.

If there's one way to get God mode then I'm bringing my American Peashooter to this.
Sadly for biplanes neither I-190, nor CR.42DB are in the game 😢
While these goons are busy repairing their jets for 10000 SL, he can quickly hop back in the game with his reserve plane.
I need to try this with my VB 10 02. It has enough power to shred these jets.
Damn man i think you've found the best SL glitch since the VB 10 02 is insanely good in arcade with the better handling and speed
This further proves that we could still fight with prop planes nowadays. 🤔

@@dominuslogik484TFW you could kill a F-4 phantom 2 with a Russian biplane and it would be historically accurate, IRL Russian bias
You know what, i think we should get rid of BR. Its way more funny like that and solves waitingtimes in an instant.
Cool
Weird that missiles can even lock you given that you generate so little heat
