Yes - the notes of every key are different. If you want to try a different key, like D, you can do it in one of these three ways (or try all three! It's good to know the fretboard, but everyone learns things differently): * How many notes (half-steps) is D away from A? If A is the open A string, and D is the 5th fret, every shape gets moved up 5 frets. You can, of course, drop any down an octave if the frets get too tiny. * Start, like Antoine does, with a D barre chord from the A string (x57775). Use the exact same pattern, except now you start on the 7th frets of the B and D strings instead of the 2nd frets. * If you want to learn the notes of both the A major and D major scales (a good thing to know, but not essential), you can look at each shape and say "well, the key of D major has a G natural while the key of A major has a G#" - so you just need to sharp every G note you play. This is good practice for learning where the notes on the fretboard are. Hope that helps.
If you know the chordal tendencies of your major scale, you can plug it into any key. I, IV, and V will always be major (two fingers on the same fret), everything else is minor (one finger up one fret ahead)

The A minor chord was just to demonstrate what was the minor shape, just but I didn't include it in the sequence after. For the rest, there are Major, minor, and diminished chords in a regular harmonization of a Major scale, so it's normal! In the open A chord, you remove the root (open a-string and second fret on the g-string) and leave an E (d-string) and a C sharp (b-string), which is the major third. Where is the 6?
In this lesson, the 6th only refers to the distance between the 5th and the 3rd of the chord spreaded on top when the root is removed. So it refers to the interval between those two notes, not to an extension of the chord. There's a difference between sixth intervals, and Maj6 or min6 chord. I hope that is not too confusing!
You could really ad that you go through the major scale, as an example, m6 or M6 to always hit scale notes. That's not to much theory, so it canbe apllied on lower strings and other major scales. I hope you can bear cricitics :) I'm just digging into your channel, for know a bit borred with blues, and Joe Pass..

Since you’re playing this over an A major, tonally the only place where you’re playing a sixth interval is the F on the 2nd string 7the fret.
