The brilliance behind this escapement lies in the fact that it functions at all. Without the inclusion of the silicon detent, it wouldn't operate correctly. I'm sure it's why George Daniels pursued his coaxial escapement instead. Will it ever see series-scale production within the watch industry, I seriously doubt so. And, for this reason, it will never be the greatest movement in horology.
One of the most beautiful watches on the market today. Thanks for this Frank!
great explanation of the natural escapement
Laurent Ferrier's Caliber FBN229.01 remains the greatest automatic movement in horology. Thanks for this brilliant video.

I thought Laurent Ferrier stopped using the natural escapement a couple of years ago because of reliability issues
the flaw was fixed and it works like a charm
*Very interesting!*
The rose gold/silver dial Classic Micro Rotor is both aesthetically and technically fascinating.
Great video Frank! You said said level has a loss of about 2/3. How much loss of energy is there in this natural escapement?
I have to see if I can find some data on that....
