For us, Toby broke a British National Record in one day which is absolutely crazy.
For Toby it's just a Normal Tuesday.
Normal storror monday*
For Toby he broke his national widgie as well 😅😂😅
Typical Storror Monday.
I'm a simple man, I see a Street Fighter reference, I upvote
Apologies to the previous record holder, must suck to be beaten by someone who did this on his first day.
But it´s really cool how the wikipedia page was updated with Tobys Name on the list. Well done Toby and props to Storror Army for the quick update.
Toby is an absolute ANIMAL! His natural ability is utterly wild
Anyone who hasn't seen Emil Abrahamsson's video, Toby winning a Dyno competition in London against actual climbing pros is wild.
as they start doing more..
no record is safe from toby :D
@@jigglie8077 when max told me about it and how many attempts I was like.. what?!
Knowing he smokes and drinks makes it that much more impressive. 😅 Alcohol makes me feel like a soggy noodle
The Segar-man showing off 🔥
As a Dutchie, loved seeing you guys try this and absolutely smashing it! Always inspiring to see you guys try new stuff and see how well parkour skills translate.
De fietsbanden om je voeten heen is ook echt wel het meest Nederlandse wat je kunt vinden!
@@kimberlybrinkhuis dit en de boys die buienradar bij de hand hebben
As a Brit, I enjoyed watching and learning about your niche sports. Great vid
@@kimberlybrinkhuis hahaha nou zeg dat!
@@Jack-us6wl glad to hear it! It’s such a peak Dutch thing, so it was a nice surprise to see Storror try it :)
Let the Red Bull sports niche side quests begin!
hell yea :D
Flugtag parkour.
Red bull does sponsor this now but it's a really old tradition/sport. Farmers used to use long poles like this to cross the water in between their fields
@@zwenkwiel816 yeah, we watched the video. Thanks for that....
@@ian6451 Just funny how people attribute all of these traditional sports to red bull because they pump a lot of drinks monkey into it and post it on their yt channel
That drone shot at 13:03 was sick! Well done Sacha!
I'm the one controlling the drone
@@Chadmi333the profile picture got me and I did want to have a laugh and say someone wants all the attention 😂 but like I said you got me with Uno reverse on the original post

as a frisian seeing a our traditional sport being recognized is quite amazing! keep up the good content!
The Dutch are such good teachers. They just seem dead chilled and just happy to pass on the fun instead of the fame or money
In Dutch culture bragging is seen as a really bad thing
The guys seemed very teachable too. The Dutch tend to be teachers when they are coaches or trainers, but you want not just raw talent but also pupils to be good at the learning process and open to evaluation and instruction.
Can we give it up for how amazing and awesome these fella's are. Marcus especially. The encouragement and support he was giving was so good. What a great guy. We could all use a friend like him. Big ups.
Never in million years would I have expected the boys to go fierljeppen! But much like the straight line missions, it makes total sense and is so fun to watch
I was worried for their ankles tho.. hope it was okay for them.
@@JanineTillema they take impacts for a living they should be fine
Few things put a smile on my face I can’t wipe off like the boys trying a new sport and absolutely smashing it. Big up, Bob! That body awareness from rock climbing was definitely key in tuning in the tekkers.
It would be interesting to see how good they could have been at Pole Vault, if they'd trained it.
especially sacha’s attempts lol so relatable
Toby casually beating the British champion with one day of practice is crazy
With injured ankle. But I believe he could do it with one hand and blindfolded eye, running backwards. If he not listen... 😀
Yep! But at the same time this combines pretty much all the things Toby's good at: running fast, jumping, climbing, and landing. The other Storror boys do all the other parts too, but Toby has the climber advantage over them.
whos toby? im new to this, just watch nate vs conor yet all the comments are about toby?
@@kyfisher3662 Who are Nate and Conor? If you watch this video you should know who Toby is since he was the only one breaking records here.
@durabelle looks like my youtube is glitching out and the comment sections arnt matching the videos I click on the home page. But it does match now when I click to view your reply
Sasha mate. Big ups for allways trying new things post injury. So sick to see you overcome that. Also Toby your a legend mate. Breaking a world record on your first day and it being official. Absolutely insane to all of you. Big ups boys.
national record* world recors ia like 22 or 24 meters
Post injury or not, it is no excuse to not have a clean diet and lose a bit weight, makes it sooooo much easier for him to actually finish a trick, he got the skills, but the weight is weighing him down. Such a easy and free life , do not take it for granted and try to show you care a little by being healthy.
@@duckyorwell9416 I think this is easy to say but in the end hard to do per individual. Everybody has a different journey, it being either a mental health journey or a weight loss journey or another journey.
@@duckyorwell9416 Absolutly no one here wanted to read this. Especially in that condecending tone. They make free content for you to view mate, have some common decency.
@duckyorwell9416 not the first time you’ve commented abt his weight… it’s pretty odd mate
Toby Segar is a BEAST!!!!!
Love that Sash never gives up. I'm very similar in weight to you( I'm 250 lbs. ) I used to be an athlete about 10 years ago putting on 100 pounds of weight it's so hard to carry so much but that's what makes us stronger . We have to climb a higher mountain and we will Sash. We will.
That's RIGHT!!!
I really wanted to see him nail one climb up with his feet properly set. If he got that, I know he could make the whole thing with just some practice.
How chill are the Dutch guys. Great energy.
Wrapping bike tires around your feet sounds like such a Dutch thing
The Belgian Championship is held in my hometown every year in the middle of August. I am fairly certain that you can compete in it without much trouble! Maybe it is worth giving it a go?
This!
This HAS to happen. Mission for next year, Storror boys?
@@AnnaNibbs i mean HOW COULD THE BRITTISH RECORD HOLDER NOT compete :P
from a fellow recordholder in this sport, great job ! i'm 14, from the united states, and went to the netherlands this summer for the same premise. i got to watch multiple competitions and did a few trainings similar to this. seeing as no american in the boys class had ever done this sport before i gladly took my record of 7.36 meters. i set this record on one broken toe and the underside of my other foot badly burned, this sport can be dangerous lol. anyways, i am a huge fan of this sport so i love to see you guys try it and bring such publicity.
edit:
if anyone would like to get into this sport but isnt from the netherlands, i have a lot of info on how you can follow along with the season, drop i comment and i'll reply
edit 2:
there is an open competition every year in the beginning of august you can sign up for, would love to see you guys do it
Very cool that you had the drive to do that!
@@qwertyTRiG thanks! it really is an amazing sport. i learned about it in the off-season last year and have kept up with it since. sadly we are once again in the off-season and i have to wait until may for any action :(
You're from the US and you support Willem II?
i liked how, on tobys last go, you can hear from the dutch boys that they could tell from the off that it was a good one, by how theyre shouting "climb, climb, climb!" after him. they sound so excited as if they could tell from the launch that it was a banger
Insaaaneee Toby! So much fun to watch you guys ace this pretty difficult and very niche sport. Also as a Dutchie I can tell you it's so incredibly Dutch to rate you guys as 9/10 for a first try even though it's the best first try they have ever seen.. There's no 10/10 in Holland, perfection's always just out of reach, lol
Setting a new British record on the first day of tryeing a sport. That's so Segar🔥🔥
Very happy to see the hospitality from the Dutchies, proud! Always enjoy the videos over here! :D
Them Dutch lads were top top guys👏🏽
The positive support from Marcus was awesome. Love that kind of coach. He makes it on the second pole and immediately after is like 'You've got it too.' Invaluable.
As a Dutchie, congrats on the record, Bob! Nailed it!
So cool of you to showcase a very niche sport I am sure not many Dutch people are truly aware of - and it looks fun!
They have competitions all the time they are crazy to watch. It was the only way farmers could get to certain places years ago.
@@Save-Your-Sanity True, but I live in the Netherlands and I feel like for most of my Dutch friends this is more like an "Oh yeah, there is something like that but I don't really watch it" kind of national tradition, although it is probably different in Friesland
@@Bergen98 I would still love to have a go, It's looks really hard though. 👍
I'm from Friesland and I didn't know there was so much to the sport like using bike tires and stuff like that. So it was very educational to watch this! And congrats to Toby for smashing a 23 year old record!!
I very much disagree with you saying that not many Dutch people are aware of this sport.

Y'all inspire me to try new physical challenges every day. My 7 year old nephew and I watch your videos all the time and try out new parkour challenges when we can. Love you boys!!!! Keep up the great work 👍
Massive respect to both Toby and Sacha! You both did great out there. That second attempt from Sascha was solid, definitely think he could smash that record with a bit more practice. But well done Toby for claiming the record at the end of the day. Good work lads!
@@allanfryer2504 what are you smoking
@TaylorzWorld1 I'm not smoking anything. He had solid form for someone trying out a sport for the first time, especially when we all know he has an affinity for ending up in the water (hence his nickname Splasha Powell). His second attempt was also done when the rain started coming down, which adds an element of difficulty to an already tough concept to master when you've been out of serious physical training after a really bad injury. Sascha did brilliantly. Sorry if you can't see that, bud.
@@allanfryer2504 There's no way you can make any deductions regarding whether Sascha could smash a world record or not, based on the performance seen here.
He barely managed to hold on to the bar.
Maybe it's good performance for an overweight man with who's been largely out of the sport for years, but world records aren't made by overweight men with injuries.
@tappajaav that's why I'm not basing my opinion solely off of his performance in this video. I'm basing it off of his performances since returning from injury, and he's doing much better and showing far more confidence than before. Based on that and seeing how the others performed, it's safe to say that with more practice in this sport, he very definitely could break that record.
@@allanfryer2504 meat rider iv seen children do better then him

What I really like and what impresses me, is how supportive you are of one another. Everyone is cheering for everyone.
You guys certainly should try out more of these highly technical niche sports, this was fun.
The videos in the netherlands are always so awesome because of the water everywhere and all the cool interactions with the locals
Those Dutch man were like we will be claiming Toby now Dank u vel 🤣.
This is the most wholesome Storror video ever I can't stop smiling, so much fun hahah
That was an amazing video boys! Toby smashing a 23 year old record on his first day really put a smile on my face. Love it!
It's surreal to see a channel I've been following for years now covering the sport I grew up playing. It feels like my past and present are colliding.
Love how supportive and how much confidence marcus had in the boys
love how Benj is always so keen to smash new things. anytime theres a new challenge or someone nails it first, hes itching to get in. love these boys!
You Guys did a very good job for the first time! Hast off to Toby for smashing the British Record! 💪
God I always love how Sacha tries, and fails but gets up smiling and just ready to try again. Truly a man in it for the love of the game! super inspirational
The variety on this channel is unreal, it makes every Monday a pleasure.
Props to the top grade TRAINERS - without them, it would have been a total splash session!
Them Dutch boys seemed like really nice people.
Love the passion from the instructors
Oh my god, that drone shot at 13:04. Fantastic timing.
I'm kind of amazed Storror have never done this before, it seems so far far up their alley.
That's the last place you want that stick to go, far up your alley
Don't sell yourselves low! Toby is great, but all of you have your strengths, and weaknesses. I think you are all fantastic, especially when you do something that you feel totally comfortable doing.
Super ready for the Shepherd’s Leap next.
thats what i thougt too - Salto del pastor - should be on the list
I feel like Drew would've loved this challenge. Miss him in videos.
Yeah, what was Josh's excuse ?
@@JulesOnline firstly he obviously doesn't need an excuse, but I believe he's carrying an injury.

13:03 wow sick drone shot sacha, pretty much perfect!

Smokin the national record on the very first day, that's bonkers!!!
Proud to be Dutch, awesome video guys!
🌬️🗿
Joe goes down poles, Storror goes up poles!!! this is fuckin wild to see, well done lads!
Gosh. Too bad for the 2001 guy. Nice job Bob. Awesome.
andy chattaway is his name ! fierljeppen works in age classes, and andy's son (whose name is david i believe) actually holds the british "juniors" record, and age class down from what the record the guys were trying to break. his son jumped 11.73 meters or smth, im pretty sure there are pictures of the both of them trying it.
so hyped to see the new weekly video, especially when it's a water challenge video ❤
Bob on the first day "shit's easy mate." :D Love it.
This looks so much fun but also very difficult, It's hard enough climbing straight up, then the pole moving forward at the same time makes it a lot harder.
Another Monday another banger. Thanks lads
22:05 it's such a dutch thing to give their first day rating only a 9 out of a 10 lol even though they said it's by far the best they've ever seen haha
Such a fun video! Bob the absolutely legend (no surprise)!
Impressive efforts from all of you boys, and so good to see Sacha especially on this (gutted you didn't get the send, but still awesome). Stunning camerawork too.
And as so often with these videos, the loveliness of the other people involved just makes it even more special. Big up Marcus and Ruben! 🙌
Congrats! Toby may have just inspired many young Brits to take up the sport just to smash the new British record!
Man we would love it if the English were the first country outside the Dutch speaking part of Europe to compete in fierljeppen. First Brittain then the Olympics.
Marcus and Reuben were great, and were a key element in this being such a good, and successful, video. Niche sports around the world should be looking for a Storror / Swagman crossover.
I think Toby is too good and parkour to be good at this for some reason. Like his runs have such power and speed that when he jumps at the pole, the momentum he carries pushes it over too quickly for him to climb high enough.
I was thinking that too. Day 2 he could add a couple meters, and in a week he could be making new records. That man is unstoppable
not to be that guy but parkour has always been about power AND control - controlling your power to be precise with your movements. This concept was literally at the foundation of parkour, so having too much power and speed is not a parkour thing, its an inexperience thing
Exactly my thought too. Now he has the technique he needs to find the power and height sweet spot to slow the pole and climb higher. Then he'd have absolutely smashed that record way past the phenomenal 50cm he already did..... In a day. What a legend.
If u look at his last attempts and how he comments on it I think he experienced what it should feel like
Which is usually compensated for by putting off the pole further into the water really, so that the athlete needs to cross more of a distance in the jump first. It is all about finding a balance between distance to jump initially and angle of the pole. If you get the sweet spot, you can climb all the way to the top of the pole for maximum result. On the flip side of course, the 'sharper' you place the pole, the easier it can also backfire.
Toby Segar is by far the BEST STORROR Parkour Specialist!!! Nobody from STORROR can do Parkour better!!! 🤗👍🥳
Congratz, Toby! And well done everyone else too. That's crazy.
