    The luxury Edition has an electric tailgate. Bjørn is testing a Premium edition. The gadget to have two fingers in is a tow hook ...

    Loved the little Easter egg in the beginning, under the hood: 7 kWh/h. That gave me a little chuckle. Can’t remember which car it was recently that used the “kWh/h” unit of measurement. ID4? Mach E?

    It's for towing. There will be a blank on the front you remove allowing you to screw it in.

    Bjorn - The item you found under the trunk/hatchback lid that you put your two fingers through is a "tow" connection. Tesla and other cars have these. They screw into a hole in the bumper (through the bumper) and into the frame for towing. You always want to keep these with the car.

    • @Leshic2
      @Leshic2 3 года назад

      Haha.. It's to make it easier to tow the car, if it's stuck. Frequently, race cars will have them pre-attached in the front and rear, but colored red or yellow to make it easier to find.
      To find where it attaches, you should have a (usually square, a little smaller than a cellphone length height and width) body panel on the front and rear bumper.
      When you pop it off (I suggest with a plastic tool or credit card), you should the find a steel hole that the ring will screw into.

    A good EV has a frunk, it is the most secure place in the car. No thief can see in there and get in there. I don't like the no frunk approach from MEB platform.

    • @hrrrrr2084
      @hrrrrr2084 3 года назад +1

      A bad EV has a frunk, as it lies on a poorly designed platform with uselessly long bonnet.

    • @bjornnyland
      @bjornnyland  3 года назад +5

      Incorrect. MEB platform and ID3/ID4 etc is a prime example that a good EV doesn't need a frunk. A frunk takes up valuable space that could have been moved to the passenger cabin or the trunk instead. Try chopping up a bicycle and put some parts in the frunk and some parts in the trunk...

    • @kasmopaya2676
      @kasmopaya2676 3 года назад

      @@bjornnyland As I see it from the Model Y, I can get a bicycle in easy and fold the seats almost 100% flat. So enough space and better design, because the ID.4 can't fold as flat.(Y is better camper) Then the Frunk gives me opportunity to put stuff there, thief proof and have easy access to it. No need to remove items from the back to access the stuff blow them in the lowest compartment. So my opinion has not changed, I like the little less space in the back + frunk design of Tesla better. But we have to test the Y with banana box test yet, to be sure it is smaller, I am not that sure, because of panorama roof and flat seats. And I know your "frunk is frozen, cant open it" story. -> still will put my juice booster 2 in frunk, becasue i don't have "SalzSchmutzFest" I am a big fan since Optimus prime times. So, have a nice Sunday afternoon, chill and greetings from Germany and Helga. ^^

    We all understand that there's something wrong with this car. You all know what it is. I can already guess that the handling is poor, 0-100 is about 8 secs or even more, weak efficiency and the whole thing about Toyota is that they don't give a damn about it. I've heard that there was the preorder in Japan and Toyota selected only 150 winners to own this car. I'll say no more, lol. NO NO NO WAIT, 50KW Chademo is the last I want to mention, ha-ha
