Wow Robert! Your editing is excellent! From the music to the transitions, and story telling. Thanks for putting together this awesome video of our spectacular day up on Baldy! Tagay!!!
@@20robertang I would like to do this too but I learned this morning I need some warmer gloves. 🥶 Or maybe there is just too much shade on Waterman 🤣 And no way I can come back in the dark (too scared as I am always solo) so I would need to time it carefully.
@@jazzfan7491 I usually have a wool gloves and a fleece one too. But if you’re going in a winter hike better to have a weatherproof gloves also. Plus carry some Hand Warmer, always saves me on a cold day.
Another fivemoreminutes success. I noticed that you use your drone now. Next time you hit the east fork maybe you can fly up and get a drone shot of that abandoned mine above the canyon by the bridge to nowhere. Be safe my friend and keep the adventure videos coming. God bless you my brother!
Thank you, Jim. If it’s a great part of the story, I’d include the drone footage. I did some drone shots along the East Fork last thru-hike but not in the bridge area. Soon!
I think it took us around 10 hours since we were filming. But this hike was a lot safer than if you donut today due so much ice. Back then it was fresh snow.
Thanks for your concern. This was last November right after the snow storm. The sky was clear, fresh snow on the ground and not too icy. Trail condition was perfect for this hike. We came prepared and we had mountaineering gear with us as you can see. We have the experience in mountaineering as well and go as buddies not solo. I have not come back after this hike. We know the danger Baldy is having. We would never put our lives in danger.
So relaxing and beautiful scenery my friend, this is truly spectacular work!
Thank you!
Such a gem here in San Gabriel, especially during snow season. ❄️
Great stuff guys. The ice on the Baldy signs was crazy.
Thanks! Yeah, tress were fully covered with ice.

Thanks much, David. Can’t do it without you!
It could’ve been great with some more drone shots but I can’t complain. Tagay!
Our backyard is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Can’t agree more, thanks for watching! ❄️
That looked like fun. Thank you for sharing, Robert
Thanks, Matt! ❄️
You really captured the beauty and essence of mountaineering.
Loved the soundtrack and better yet; Your guys high spirits 🗻
Thanks, Steven.
I’m trying to make the viewers feel what we experienced at least through the video.
Gonna try and summit this weekend. Looks awesome!
Good luck! It’s amazing up there!
That snow sure was beautiful. Nice drone shots too.
Thanks, buddy.
The drone won’t let me fly above ski hut and summit. Hopefully next time there’ll be no wind.
Beautiful! Nice job and thanks for the vid.
Thanks for watching, Ashwin!
Absolutely beautiful up there... 🥶 but beautiful. Another fivemoreminutes on Mt. Baldy summit.
Thanks, Jason.
I can’t wait to go back and do the bowl!
What a beautiful video. I did the Waterman loop this morning but it was nothing like this.
Thank you! I can’t wait to hit it again after the next snow.

Thank you!
It was a pretty mountain to hike during the snow.
Awesome 🙌🏽🙌🏽

just microspikes? or crampons?
Loved the way you edited and captured the beauty of the hike! If you don’t mind me asking, what backpack do you use?
Sorry for delayed reply. Yeah I use Hyperlite Mountain Gear Southwest 2400 White color. Davis was using same one but size 3400 and color black.
Great video! What kind of pants were you guys wearing? And base layers? If you don't mind me asking
Thanks!
David was wearing The North Face, I was using the Fjallraven Vidda Pro from REI.
For base layer, Patagonia and Columbia. I was warring Kuhl mid layer wool 3/4 zip.
@@20robertang snowpants? Or just waterproof?
@@antik_adam
Well, it’s great for snow hiking but not waterproof. So durable too. I tested it in rain hiking and it got soaked.
Thank you guys
Thanks for watching! ❄️
What route / trail did you take after ski hut?
We went through the longer route to the top, Schitzo Alley.
How long did this take you?
