      I wasn't able to find exactly how they did it, but I imagine they studied fire for the CGI. The transition only lasts about 3 seconds!

      I'm so glad!! It's much more difficult to use than my regular sewing machine, BUT you can power it by AAs which is impressive and makes it super portable! Thanks for watching Dale :)

    Absolutely love the end result! I'd love seeing you recreate the Dalmatian coat from the film! If you decide to, I have a LOT of reference photos and videos of said costume as well as details on the original fabrics!

    Not gonna lie I am slightly disappointed that the fire part was not full scale but super cool video! I really liked the mannequin tests and the step by steps.

      I think it would be a serious fire hazard. But maybe using non flammable liquid on whole body and hair, and then doing that could work a little. But still better just try with a mannequin

    love this dress, very interested in how you attached the detail strips to create the wrinkles and the clasps in the dress. can you please share

      Thank you! All of the strips were pinned in place then hand tacked to the bodice underneath. When I got to the zipper area, I used small metal clasps used for zipper openings. I placed on half on the bodice hidden by the strips and the other half on strips that were almost all tacked to the bodice except for the ends. Then when latching the metal clasps, the ends are tucked and it turns out seamless! Hope that helps!

    Well done. I enjoyed your video! Love to see a decent Cinderella transformation. The one on Broadway was fun and big budget. Perhaps something on a more palatable budget for regular humans!

    Irl would the hood in the cape not cause the fire to be too close to a person's very flammable hair?
    Like I can see the fire dress skit maybe working on top of flame resistant dress, but not over her flammable hair. Movie magic i guess

    You could've just fold them into pleats instead of cutting there was enough material for even bigger detailed pleats , the cutting looks untidy . The cape looks better and neater then dress looks so untidy. At least you tried but keep practising its gets better and tidy with time .

      I love a new subscriber, hello and welcome!!! The mini sewing machine is cute.... but it is such a pain to use. Imagine how wonderful it is to go from a home sewer to a juki, and now flip that to a downgrade 😂 At least the mini sewing machine can travel well!

    Hi! Very big question, how did you make sure the wrinkly bits of the dress didn't fray or unravel?

      Hi! Great question -- cutting the fabric on the bias stops most of the fraying!! The dress also is a deconstructed version of another so it adds to the overall look if it's fraying a bit :)

      There are some fire retardant/resistant materials that could work, but I wouldn't recommend it as it is extremely dangerous 😬

I want to buy cheaper ones that are handmade and ready to sell in my hometown in U.S.A from etsy. My measurements are for bust - 46.inch/117.cm, neck - 23.inch/59.cm, waist - 44.inch/112.cm, hips - 44.inch/112.cm, height - 61.inch/155.cm and hallow to the floor - 53.inch/135.cm.

    You could definitely wear a dress if you put that anti-fire makeup on and made it out of like fireproof material underneath

      I may have to try something in the future! It did let out a ton of heat even just on the miniature, so I'd be pretty nervous about covering myself in fire. Maybe I can enlist a firefighting team and get their feedback lol.
