I just bought the Mac Mini M2, my first Mac. My Dell Optiplex Micro was too slow for multitasking, let alone some small games. I love it so far.
How is Mac mini , what's your view after using it
@@pathofseekingknowledge9813 Mac mini is great if you already have a keyboard mouse monitor and use other products in apple’s ecosystem. The user experience is good and it already comes with Mac OS, as well as apple’s version of word excel and PowerPoint that are easily convertible to their Microsoft counterparts when you need to export/share.
Also they’re way simpler/less bloated, so it doesn’t slow down like Word Excel and PPT do, in my experience.
For game steam can play? Like forza horizon 4?

@@DengueBurgerthe reason isnt that the hardware is too weak, it is just apple being uncooperative. They wont allow you to use windows on mac and even if you get it working they wouldnt let you use drivers. On top of that, macos straight up doesnt support or has weak support for every game. Apple for some reason doesnt give steam the necessary access to develop a proton version for mac, like how there is one for linux
Basic gaming kit to play on mac,
1. crossover (patched with game porting tool)
2. Mac app store and steam for native games
3.(optional) GeForce now/boosteroid for some games not compatible with crossover and don't have a native version for mac on the appstore or steam

i keep at my opinnion. apple is not ment for gaming, you have to make consessions.
i love the mac for video editting, graphic design, and for the fact it does not get slow after each update unlike these crappy windows based pc's, wich store way too many useless montoring file in the background, and each update there are more added.
this has a value, and should be praised by mac owners, not lame gaming specs.
i bought the intel macbook pro with the 5500 radeon 8GB graphics card and i was running pcsx2 at 1440p and it would stutter and it would render my 10-20 second videos in 1-2min
i bought the new mac mini with the m2 pro chip the basic specs and it ran pcsx2 at 5k with no hiccups and the same 10-20 second videos with a lot more complicated transitions it rendered them in 4 seconds 💀 (i hooked it up to a tv with HDMI and got a cheap wired keyboard for free and a cheap bluetooth mouse for $40 at amazon)
i would highly recommend the mac mini to anyone looking to upgrade from a intel version of mac!
(the macbook pro with the intel chip was $1100 USD and the mac mini with the m2 pro chip you could get one open box at $1160$ so i’d say invest your money wisely and go with the mac mini whichever one you could afford it is gonna be better than the intel macbook pros)

Good to see technical it’s possible and this resident evil thing is cool… but in the end there are not really a variety in games since years on Mac OS. My answer to the question is no. It’s not good for gaming because there are no games 😅
There's crossover for Mac to install windows games but depends on the MacBook u own 😂 idk how powerful these Mac minis are

1 year later still absolutely no games optimized for the M-series chips. Although I have been having alot of fun with Emulating old consoles and the hardware handles it well. Emulation community is strong for the MacOs

The Mac mini can do a lot of different things including casual gaming. If you want a gaming beast you’re not only looking at the wrong device, your budget is also too low. You can play much more intensive games via streaming services like Xbox cloud of course

Yes. I have a Mac Mini M2 Pro and I stream through OBS, just make sure whatever capture card you use is compatible with macOS - I use elgato HD60S+

Ok, I have a ps5 and a mancbook pro 14 m1 max, and still would say that my 2800 dollar MacBook doesn't even come close to my 500 dollar ps5 in terms of gaming.

The best way to play game is with emulator , you can play almost any switch games
600 is a steal (in the good way) that's too good specially with an Apple product since they're so overpriced

It can’t boot external windows. You use parallels for that. Then you can play more games.
Yes you CAN use parallels but costs a yearly fee as well as purchasing a windows key to use it so you have to factor in if it’s worth it, personally kind of regret my m2 mini purchase

Mac is beast for gaming you can play cyberpunk in 4k and get around.100 fps with no diff definitely go for it for gaming hardcore

It’s not because newer Mac and Mac OS only let you 64 bit games. Windows 10 lets you play 32 and 64 bit games. This why true mac gamers staying high Sierra or Mojave. Apple new hardware sucks
