There’s a thing to do with blowing up dinghy’s before the start of the run to guarantee certains spawns. Tbh you’re probably better off asking Matt about it 😂
Sometimes if you are two quick to a location it won't let you progress until Pavel finishes his dialogue. By calling pegasus, Simeon, ext. Pavel's dialogue gets interrupted allowing you to progress faster.
You need to set a waypoint on the map to a Cayo deathmatch, fly out with a Sparrow, request a dinghy at the waypoint then land your Sparrow on the dinghy.
For those who don't know there's a lot of prep before even starting the heist that allows you to stop certain spawns in order to get the fastest locations for setup.
For those who don't want to read, go watch darkviperAU's videos on speed running cayo, he explains it great. 1. Someone made jobs for people to bookmark so they can job warp. They are all placed strategically to keep the run fast. 2. He got the sparrow on the island by using a bookmark for reference and then putting a dingy and landing the helicopter in the bottom right of the map where cayo pericos island is. 3. The reason he or she dies after getting the longfin is because he needed to loose the cops to job warp. He then job warps and the truck comes too because when you leave a job, your personal vehicle spawns, and the phantom menace is his, and the game thinks the longfin is part of the vehicle. 4. For most of the setup spawns the runner put dingys in the locations of the spawn and blew them up to get rid of the spawn, so when he does the weapons he puts 3 dingys in the helicopter locations so he can only get office buildings. There is like 30 minutes of prep😅 so its not as fast as you think. 5. They call Pegasus the dialog skip 6. Before he gets in the compound he does get caught and the alarms go off but when he gets inside they are off, this is because he was waiting for the game to register the cut scene, so when he was caught he was safe because he already accepted the route. 7. When they search for a job whilst in the kostoka and cancel it, is so they can warp while indoors. If I missed anything ask me about it😊
12:34 Not luck _at all_ There's a crazy thing with setting up destroyed dinghies on the roof of the merryweather hangar to block that mission. It all happens before the gather intel mission so it doesn't count towards the timer
Which makes no sense to me because it's still something you're doing, specifically, for Cayo Perico. In my opinion, it should still count as a Cayo Perico Set Up Mission, just... one you imposed on yourself.
@@ForeverDegenerate that’s not how the speedrunning category works, if you’d like you could set up a new category with all the rules and specifications you want!
@S-D no it hasn't. He can put his sparrow in the ocean on a dinghy and that sparrow has to be duped in a certain spot in the ocean and it gives it to him in cayo
@S-D no? do you not even realise that it's on a website for speedruns, where every speedrun is submitted by video and reviewed heavily by administrators before it's approved?
Now with the help of all the comments can you have a 20 min breakdown of exactly what they did step by step. The missions and his special mission for his kosatka has me wondering. Love the content!
Yeah true, this wouldn't be possible on the ps4 slow ahh ssd, imagine this with a ssd of something like a ps5. My ssd is pretty fast but my wifi is shit, so loading screens in a public sessions takes forever😴
Their set-up strategy is ridiculously on point and the heist was ran quite smooth. I love watching people used different techniques than my own; Although, I often stick my own script. It may not rival the speed, but stealth is unmatched by anyone else's that I've seen. Keep up the great content @TGG!
I've gotten pretty good at running through the very clear path from the left of the drainage door and up to the vault (without killing anyone) immediately after spawning in. The setups will take a while even with Sparrow
so the way he got "lucky" with the preps is by prep blocking, basically putting things (mainly destroyed dinghies) where prep vehicles should spawn, making it so they cant spawn, and blocking that prep, first person to make sure the proper altitude, the sparrow was already there on a boat waiting to spawn in, and the pegasus call was to skip dialogue, and you cant job warp if you need to deliver something to the sub, and the only reason the longfin warped with him is because the phantom wedge counts as a personal vehicle and warps with the player, and anything attached to it (i.e. the longfin) warps with it
You can start a new session after finding the primary target and it'll just spawn you to your kosatka, you will keep your Intel progress as well obviously. Some people will tell you otherwise, however I do this everyday multiple times and it has always worked for me. I'm on PS5
Kosatka interior is under that specific mountain. Figured that out when I was driving it and my friends were in the sub and they were showing up in the mountain
There’s so much about this video that needs to be explained. If he was not using mods, this community needs to know more! Please do a deep dive on fast tactics for this heist.
The jobs he was using were illegally made much like the God mode arena wars jobs. Normally without the use of mod menus those jobs he used to teleport around wouldn't work. Rockstar removed the fast travel via jobs a long time ago. Only way to do it is have the modded jobs that bypass that.
That's not true at all, job teleporting is working just fine still without any mods (at least on PC). You just have to do a "quick join" trick with the phone (like he does in the video) before starting the mission to enable the jobs on the map during missions. Outside of missions, you can jump around all you want with those job markers.
Yeah and the thing is normally Pavel's dialogue wouldn't hinder you from progressing because it takes longer to get to the location than him finishing his speech. But since he always job teleports to the right location he has to skip it.
Hey TGG you should look at the Elite Challenge Leaderboard which is exclusively for the heist finales no preps or anything. Those times are insane. I've been trying for almost a year and only gotten 2nd amongst console players running cayo. PC is just too much for me
I regularly do it in 9:30 give or take a few seconds, as a duo filling both our loot bags. Not sure if that’s anywhere near world record but it feels fast. I guess it’s slow for speed runs because this player has just started the heist and there’s only 5:30 left in the video, so they must do it in under 5:30, nearly half my “speed run”😅
The World Record for Cayo solo aggressive elite is 3:38. This was done by a pc players. On the other side we have Cayo solo stealth elite which is 4:31 also on pc.
when you are in los santos you put a dinghy on the location that cayo is located on the sea and land the spearow on there. thats how you get teh spearow to cayo
- Speed runners use a lady toon because they are slightly faster sprinters than the men toons. - He uses custom 'job' bookmarks which warp to locations like his kosatka and all of the prep locations - dying to the cops in the longfin prep removes the wanted stars, hooking the boat first with a self-owned Wedge will teleport the Wedge with the boat hooked when 'job' warping to the drop off point
The unmarked weapons...I constantly have to engage in a citywide battle with helicopters and assassins all the way to my sub....you run in and out like you're dropping off some dry cleaning on a Sunday afternoon.
@TGG the reason why he didn't get alerted entering the compound is because if you accept infiltration point before alarm goes off, you are still undetected bc of checkpoint.
This is brilliant. Minus 10 points for using macros (because I don't think any keyboard has a 10-key-press "zone limit" per zone, or whatever they call it) but it is still really cool. 8:23 calls Pegasus which cancels the current line/subtitle. Calling Pegasus makes the operator talk instead, but he even skips the Pegasus' line by closing the call early. The yellow zone to enter the Penthouse becomes available when Pavel stops his lines. Both of them. That's why. He has a job bookmark which when canceled, spawns him in the middle of the ocean, where the Kosatka's walls are (when it is surfaced/fast traveled to the Vespucci Beach place. Like how you can pay Pavel to fast travel there.) He immediately walks back to get into the interior. At least that's what I am guessing. From what I believe, Kosatka's interior is actually IN the Kosatka and not in another game dimension. Because when you swim next to the Kosatka, your minimap will show the same map with the interior version when you actually enter the Kosatka. I have no idea how he got the Sparrow there, though. It was damaged and I think this is because he did the Oppressor Mk. II spawn glitch with the Sparrow after going/teleporting to Cayo Perico normally from the airport. It was conveniently damaged, it slowed down right as it got to the communications tower. But that was probably not intended. I don't know why the Phantom Wedge w/Longfin teleported with him, and I don't know why the Gather Intel mission kept launching even though he fast-traveled to a bookmarked job (in the first setup, where he gets the Velum plane). Edit: I guess canceling the job puts you in the previous session. Just like normally playing the job. When you finish a job/heist, it'll put you in the same session you and your crew were in. And having those "circles" to enter the job (like the ones you see on the map. For example, the Adversary Series, the Bunker Series and so on.) puts/spawns you IN that circle even after canceling it.
Theres a lot going on here and a lot of preps for getting things like the sparrow to the island, which I think should be included in the time. The heist is crazy fast but realistically if you need to prep and block spawns etc you're not making a million every 18 minutes
ofc you arent. the only things you can pick up from here to speed up your normal runs is some routes and job teleports. most likely jobs the guy used are linked somewhere. but id recommend checking beatsdown walkthrough of cayo

I used to do this. The kosakta interior is somewhere inside that mountain. Sometimes I would spawn above it in the void and then phase trough the kosakta roof back inside it.
This makes the tedious nature of the heist prep look bareable. Also, I discovered by accident, if you blow up the Merryweather chopper, and wait for Heist Prep Failed to go off screen. Find a new session, and try again. This should enable you to now fly to the building instead, to get the weapons. If that doesn't work - go to single player, then go back online. Haven't needed to follow a bloody slow Heli for a while. 😏
The thing with Lago Zancudo is also blocking all other spots, at least it used to be, by putting Dinghy there (I think, I didnt really bother to dig into it, cause its not gonna help with regular runs. He probably somehow is also blocking the spawns for other missions too, or there might be something else about getting exact spawns. The only thing that he was randoming was probably Bearer Bonds. For anyone looking for something more related to "how can I do cayo faster" check out Elite Challenge without Job teleporting. Depending on luck with spawns its gonna get you under an hour at least. And you can also check BeatsDown speedrun walkthrough where he is explaining basic tactics.
If you use the sparrow for most, and be in a mc and request a mk2 for the 2 parters once you leave the first part of them, it only takes 20-30 if ur unlucky .
He 1 gets the sparrow from a boat and the edge of the map were cayo spawns 2 first person always checking hight 3 he uses dingus to block spawns for every prep except the ones he's picking
He got in his sparrow parked it in the CEO office (roof) then went inside I don't know why maybe start a mission or something then destroyed 3 dinghies from a simeon mission and spawned a dinghy in southeast waters of the map and landed on top of the boat the sparrow kinda complicated 😂

Sometimes if you are two quick to a location it won't let you progress until Pavel finishes his dialogue. By calling pegasus, Simeon, ext. Pavel's dialogue gets interrupted allowing you to progress faster.

when he turned his engine on in the phantom wedge i lost it😂 this guy is nuts💯
5. They call Pegasus the dialog skip
If I missed anything ask me about it😊
12:34 Not luck _at all_
There's a crazy thing with setting up destroyed dinghies on the roof of the merryweather hangar to block that mission.

No shit it was smooth it’s the wr
so the way he got "lucky" with the preps is by prep blocking, basically putting things (mainly destroyed dinghies) where prep vehicles should spawn, making it so they cant spawn, and blocking that prep, first person to make sure the proper altitude, the sparrow was already there on a boat waiting to spawn in, and the pegasus call was to skip dialogue, and you cant job warp if you need to deliver something to the sub, and the only reason the longfin warped with him is because the phantom wedge counts as a personal vehicle and warps with the player, and anything attached to it (i.e. the longfin) warps with it
Love this! Even more funny when TGG is like "Haaang on a minute, how did he do that??" 😂
Pavel trying to even keep up with his dialogs is the best part about this.
You can start a new session after finding the primary target and it'll just spawn you to your kosatka, you will keep your Intel progress as well obviously. Some people will tell you otherwise, however I do this everyday multiple times and it has always worked for me. I'm on PS5

@@buddynamedmike if ur not just hating then honestly I'm not surprised, speerdunners do it for attention half the time anyways .
That's not true at all, job teleporting is working just fine still without any mods (at least on PC). You just have to do a "quick join" trick with the phone (like he does in the video) before starting the mission to enable the jobs on the map during missions. Outside of missions, you can jump around all you want with those job markers.
He skips the dialogue with Pegasus it's mostly used in story mode speedrunning
When he calls Pegasus it stops pavel talking and he can enter buildings faster

If you wanted to know the console times they are 4:41 solo aggressive elite on PS5 and 4:50 solo stealth elite on PS4
My time of 5:02 puts me in second for the console solo stealth elite category. I'm just waiting for the owner of the site to update the leaderboards
I may be wrong here but I believe the reason he is able to get into his sub is because rockstar hides there assets underground

How about when he got spotted the first time
@@Slapp3 when he jumped off the bike and hit the guards?
I'm saying even if a guard sees you if you accept the infiltration point before the alarm goes off, you will still be undetected inside the compound.
I ain’t reading that all
