Making 200cc mobile pressure washer

  • I decided to build a completely mobile washer that would be powered by an internal combustion engine and would have tanks, so I would not have to connect the water supply every time.
    The washer turned out to be a very mobile machine, I washed two heavily soiled cars on one tank, including a large one, and about 1/4 of the water tank remained. The pressure washer is powerful and can be regulated by the speed of the internal combustion engine
    I used biodegradable cleaners for washing the car, it does not harm the environment and plants

    You should always avoid running the pump dry in any pressure washer. The water serves as coolant and as lubricant for the pump itself. Running it dry will damage the pump internally and it happens very quickly due to heat and friction. It will make less and less pressure at the nozzle each time it's run dry.

    • @chriss2050
      @chriss2050 3 года назад +1

      Yes and more importantly it prevents cavitation since this uses a centrifugal type of pump. Cavitation occurs when the pump has air in the line since air is compressible.

    • @jafinch78
      @jafinch78 3 года назад +1

      Yes, seems why some use a pulley design in between the engine and pump with an idler pulley engagement for engaging the pump. Let's the engine warm up and/or run without running the water and pump. Also, want to make certain you drain and run some sort of anti-freeze usually with a lubricant if you're in a region that freezes so the pump doesn't crack from the ice expansion if water is present.

    • @bidders77
      @bidders77 3 года назад +3

      Aye it needs to recycle the water with an unloader when it's running and not being triggered otherwise the pump won't last very long

      great question

      @cabwaldo 2 года назад

      Surprisingly, a pressure washer doesn’t use a lot of volume and is usually self priming.

    • @unknown-eu2io
      @unknown-eu2io 2 года назад

      @@cabwaldo the idea is the volume is small but the pressure is (must) be high so the pump needs a lot of water

    • @cabwaldo
      @cabwaldo 2 года назад

      @@unknown-eu2io No... pumps create flow, which have a specific minimum GPM (or other unit of volume) that is required for the pump to not run dry or cavitate. Pressure is created by restriction, therefore a fixed displacement pump will only put out so much volume regardless of what kind of restriction is on the outlet, which is less than a garden hose on household water pressure typically.
      These are basic principles of high pressure rated hydraulic/fluid pumps.

      max 3000psi, water consumption 12-18l. The engine is not a Honda brand, it's a Chinese counterfeit Honda engine, the seller says that the power is 7.5 HP, but I do not trust the descriptions of the sellers, the most important thing is that the engine handles the pump efficiency very well :)

      Link to the pump in the Amazon store, but this is a preview link, you can easily buy much cheaper in, for example, the Aliexpress store
      www.amazon.com/Tool-Daily-Replacement-Horizontal-2600-3000/dp/B088GWS392
      when buying a pump you need to buy a motor with a shaft compatible with the pump hole, in my case it was a motor with a 19mm shaft, Sample link:
      www.amazon.co.uk/Honda-GX200-6-5HP-Engine/dp/B07QCGLB25
      water hose for high pressure washer: Sample link
      www.amazon.com/Pressure-Replacement-Extension-M22-14mm-Craftsman/dp/B07DQWPZN1
      Remember that these are sample links so that you can preview what parts I used. You can buy these parts much cheaply in the Aliexpress store

      Są jakieś mocniejsze pompy ,ta jest wystarczająca? Możesz podać link do takiej lancy z końcówkami jaką ty zastosowałem i do silnika który wybrać? Można się skontaktować z tobą w inny sposób?

      Czy warto zastosować większą pompę,czy ta jest wystarczająca? Jeżeli większą, czy ta moc silnika wystarczy ?
