      I also have a Karcher k4 and Parkside with a slightly longer cable and I have had for several years and they work very well, Parkside a little worse because it was already under warranty twice but I have a large plot and I was irritated by the constant stretching of the hose, so I decided to build such a washer 😁 Thank you 😁

    • @unknown-eu2io
      @unknown-eu2io 3 года назад

      great question

    • @cabwaldo
      @cabwaldo 3 года назад

      Surprisingly, a pressure washer doesn’t use a lot of volume and is usually self priming.

    • @unknown-eu2io
      @unknown-eu2io 3 года назад

      @@cabwaldo the idea is the volume is small but the pressure is (must) be high so the pump needs a lot of water

    • @cabwaldo
      @cabwaldo 3 года назад

      @@unknown-eu2io No... pumps create flow, which have a specific minimum GPM (or other unit of volume) that is required for the pump to not run dry or cavitate. Pressure is created by restriction, therefore a fixed displacement pump will only put out so much volume regardless of what kind of restriction is on the outlet, which is less than a garden hose on household water pressure typically.
      These are basic principles of high pressure rated hydraulic/fluid pumps.

    • @unknown-eu2io
      @unknown-eu2io 3 года назад

    Someone may have said this, but the only thing I would have done different is to use a see-through tank. You may be able to tell the water level without it, it just wasn't coming through on the video, not sure. Great build!

    • @WorkshopFromScratch
      @WorkshopFromScratch  3 года назад

      Thank you :) I was looking for a transparent tank of similar sizes in the stores but I could not find it, I was also thinking about installing a float with a tank fill indicator :)

    • @samvalentine3206
      @samvalentine3206 3 года назад +1

      @@WorkshopFromScratch - Just add some 45° elbows in the tank - one at the full mark and the other at the "low" part of the tank and put some transparent tubing between them to create a sight "glass" to show your level.

    And, if you have switchable tanks, i'd made the gun switchable too, with two 3-way valves on it (sorta like 5-camera phone, in order to not change ends manually) But overall, i love this concept.
