I now live in SC near Greenville. I think Garth has the type of songs you should sing. you sound sort of like Josh but bring out Garth's work to perfection.
I don't even like country music, but Scotty. Now THAT is a different story. LOL. His voice is just so...omg. *dies* He is awesome. He will most definetly be getting a record deal, regardless if he wins or not.
i love country soo much and he makes it 10 times better when him and tim mcgraw sang live like your dieing i almost cried because i first heard that when i was 7 and it has gotten me threw so much i love you scotty and will b going to all your concerts
I'm 16 and the great Garth is my all-time favourite country singer, and Country is my favourite genre. I place Garth in #1 ahead of legends like Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, George Jones, George Strait and Vince Gill. The River is one of my favourite songs by Garth. However I must say Scotty's cover is on par if not even BETTER than the original. In an age where music is corrupted by biebers and gagas, Scotty McCreery leads a Country fightback.

I wish I met scotty before he became famous, so I could marry him... hes gorgeous, a cowboy, and so sweet. NOT TO MENTION... his voice is a gift from God. Sooo good. I hope he does well! Agree?

He does this kind of thing very well but he seems limited to this kind of thing. He likes this kind of music, and lots of people are hooked on Country. So whatever floats your boat. It doesn't do that for me unfortunately. I far prefer the freewheeling spirit of Haley Reinhart. However, American Idol was a great platform for both of them. Haley's doing all right, and certainly Scotty is. He's the new Jim Reeves and will make a fortune. Randy Jackson recognised that fairly early on in AI, and obviously drooled over the thought.
