What a great demo. 10/10. Love your entrepreneurial spirit! Only thing for me is I’m proudly an ethical vegan. I would love it if you were too. Maybe you could do a video with vegan luxury fashion and cruelty free skincare and cosmetics. Love and light. Love your kitty cat ❤️. 👏🙏🙌💐🐾🐾🇬🇧🎄

I had my Current Battery 2 delivered today and the battery does not work. I'm so glad that I paid for it through PayPal because they make sure that I want have a problem sending it back. I'm really irritated about this. I have learned to go with reviews that hype products up.

That’s so bad, I’m sorry you had that experience. Im sure you did this but just in case, a lot of people don’t realize it needs charging overnight before first use. I can only do reviews from my own experience, that’s not hype, it’s my reality and I didn’t have that issue.

Do you find that there is a considerable gap between the chin portion of the mask and your chin? There is definitely a large gap with mine and so I basically have to hold it up against my chin. I know you can have a tiny gap, but this is considerable. I played around with the Velcro. I can’t use the eye goggles because they irritate the heck out of my eyes and push the mask away from my face. I was searching whether the chin strap is supposed to fit closely to your chin. I didn’t find anything on their website, but Google AI pulled from some thing and said that it is supposed to fit snug against your chin to work effectively so I would love to hear whether it does that for you. It’s really a pain to have to hold it Close to my chin for the whole time, not to mention that doing so makes the bottom sides of the mask sort of buck out.

No mine fits fine but my Glotech neck collar is super loose (about a 6" gap) so I asked LED aesthetics/Glotech and they said that's totally fine, it doesn't need to fit snugly to be effective. I get mixed answers when I google it but I trust the manufacturers whereas I don't really trust AI answers as you don't know where they're pulling their answer(s) from and reliable the source is. Full disclosure, I'm not an aesthetician so if you don't feel 100% happy with it, I'd return it. Let me also ask the brand directly for you and I'll share their answer with you. I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring your comment as it could take a while to get an answer over the holidays.

From currentbody: “The mask should sit comfortably on your face without the strap pulling up too tightly. It is normal for some parts of the mask (such as the chin and forehead) not to be touching the skin, this does not affect the treatment.
This is because of the way LED wavelengths disperse, covering the whole treatment area.
There is no need for the mask to be in direct contact if it does not fit in those areas perfectly, as you will still see the same benefits! Some users prefer to lay down with the mask on or sit with their head back against a sofa cushion for example to achieve a more comfortable treatment.”

Hi, thanks for this great review. I was wondering, can this also be used down on the neck? Would it fit around there if it was held there? Prefer not to spend more on the neck and chest piece. Thanks!

Recently bought it… was excited but I feel as though it’s making my rosacea worse, and causes pretty harsh skin irritation after each use to the point where Im going to try to return it. If you have sensitive skin be warned it may not be for you, the light is very strong. and unfortunately you can’t turn off the Deep NIR.

    • @EveDawes
      @EveDawes  Месяц назад

CurrentBody says: "You will find when using the LED Mask as recommended red LED light has been shown to help with inflammation like that in rosacea and acne and to help reduce pigmentation. When using the LED Mask to treat you may find that any skin tone change or blemishes that were on your skin and not visible may look worse during treatment as its to do with the blood vessels coming to the surface of the skin but this should improve with regular use. We do not specifically advertised the LED mask at helping with melasma / Rosacea especially as some can be hormone related. Your skin may need it go through 3 or 4 skin cycles before they start to see a difference as melasma takes longer to treat than other skin concerns and it is very normal for it to get worse before it gets better. Unfortunately there is much misinformation via forums and anecdotal information that claims near-infrared LED light can cause melasma, this is NOT correct, near-infrared LED cannot cause any such skin condition. There is no clinical data or research carried out to back any such claims and much of this is misunderstanding of how LED light treats the skin over time and helps to improve skin tone and texture...and of course we would always advise speaking to a dermatologist for further advise in case your particular skin condition may not be suited to LED light treatment."

Great review. Thanks. However you didn’t mention that NIR can cause heating in tissues and stimulate melasma in some skin types. So the deeper NIR is likely dangerous for those types. Likely of more people complaining of melasma with this mask. I’m disappointed that the company have not discussed it as it’s highly written about on forums from Customers.
I love the idea of this mask but as I can only use the combi for a few minutes before heating I have to switch to red light for the remainder of the time.
They’ve missed a trick to not include red light only.
    What a shame.
Maysama mask is a combo plus the option to switch to red light only for those with melasma. I’m still wondering what to do. I have a cheaper red light mask currently and a lamp that can switch between wavelengths and pulsed.
Likely I don’t need anything new.
But just wish CB had listened to customers.
Some of us get melasma with LED masks.

I'm so sorry you've had this experience. I'm working on getting an official response from CurrentBody for you but wanted to respond to let you know I've seen it and am working on getting their feedback. I do know series 1 is still available to avoid deep NIR.

Please see the response from CurrentBody for you:
"The Currentbody Series 2 LED Mask uses Red (633nm), Near-Infrared (830nm) and New Deep Near-Infrared (1075nm) LED light to treat the skin to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, tighten and tone the skin for a more firmer look. It also helps to reduce variations in pigmentation and improve the skin tone for a better looking complexion and glow.
You will find when using the LED Mask as recommended red LED light has been shown to help with inflammation like that in rosacea and acne and to help reduce pigmentation. When using the LED Mask to treat you may find that any skin tone change or blemishes that were on your skin and not visible may look worse during treatment as its to do with the blood vessels coming to the surface of the skin but this should improve with regular use.
RED LED which Red LED light will cause the skin to re-oxygenate stimulating the red blood cells which will make the surface of your skin flush and red which you do not need as this process helps with encouraging collagen production.
There is no clinical data or research carried out to back any such claims and much of this is misunderstanding of how LED light treats the skin over time and helps to improve skin tone and texture. The darker pigments are as a result of continuously using the LED Mask but over time many customers have seen a difference.
There are different types of Melasma conditions and of course we would always advise speaking to a dermatologist for further advise in case your particular skin condition may not be suited to LED light treatment."

I ordered this LED mask series 2 after seeing all the great reviews and promotions, but unfortunately, my experience has been very different. The light intensity is way too high, even with the eye protection (which does nothing but feel uncomfortable), causing discomfort and even pain in my eyes. It's not safe for me to use, and the customer service has been unhelpful. Returning it will also cost you money! I expected much more from a product marketed as safe and effective. Be cautious if you're thinking about buying!

I'm so sorry you've had this experience. I'm working on getting an official response from CurrentBody for you but wanted to respond to let you know I've seen it and am working on getting their feedback. I do know series 1 is still available to avoid deep NIR and be less intense on the eyes. It wasn't something I noticed and my eyes are more sensitive after LASIK. There should be bo cost to return it except for shipping, they don't charge a restocking fee.

      Please see CurrentBody's response:
"We would always recommend reading the contraindications regarding light or photosensitivity as some customers may find the LED mask is not suitable for them. For those that may find the LED light initially bright you can consider using cotton pads on the eye area, using goggles that block light or close your eyes during treatment. Often customers find things settle after a few treatments. If you suffer from any eye condition or sensitivity then unfortunately we would not recommend the use of the LED mask. We cannot comment on individual health conditions and if unsure would always recommend speaking to the relevant medical professional before starting new treatments.
There are 3 clinically proven wavelengths which are Blue (415nm), Red (633nm) and Near Infrared (850nm) all other LED lights have various research to determine how they can help improve overall appearance. Any variation on the precision of the wavelength is not proven or can guarantee results. Our LED Masks contains 633nm (Red) and 830nm (Near-Infrared) LEDs and it is engineered so each socket contains the two wavelengths. Both wavelengths are delivered at the same time, never on their own - Near-Infrared 830nm enhances the Red 633nm when combined. The quality of the LEDs are crystal clear and are driven at optimal intensities, so the correct dose of light is delivered to make a difference to the skin."

@@EveDawes Thanks for your time and response, but it comes across as dismissive and standard. I always thoroughly read the contraindications and product information before making a purchase, so suggesting that I simply "read the guidelines" feels like you're avoiding the real issue.
Additionally, I’ve already consulted my doctor, who, while unsure about the mask's efficacy for skincare, did express concern about the impact on my eyes. Together, we’ve decided that I’ll continue using the mask under their supervision in a controlled and monitored environment, particularly because they have expertise in eye health. This allows us to closely track how my eyes and skin respond to the treatment, ensuring safety while giving the mask a fair evaluation.
If this experience can help others navigate whether this product is suitable for them, I’ll gladly share my honest journey. Clear, transparent reviews are crucial, and I’d like to contribute by offering a balanced perspective based on real results and medical oversight.

@@EveDawes I’m confused by Current Body’s response as I thought the Series 2 has 1072nm Deep Near Infrared lining the lower eyes and mouth areas of this mask. It’s actually why I’m hesitant to purchase. 1072nm has shown anti-aging benefit to the eye area but I worry that for some, including myself, it may be too deep. The oversight in citing their own specifications is a bit concerning. Furthermore, the clinical data for Series 2 is not yet available. The fact that eye guards are included acknowledge risk. I was ready to purchase but think I will either research another mask option despite the preferred under chin section, fit, and more flexible and comfortable silicone of Series 2, or continue with my MitoMin panel until this mask’s data becomes available.
